A guided tour of African-American historic photos show

To Deborah Willis, curator of the exhibit “Let Your Motto Be Resistance: African American Portraits,” the notion of resistance is broader than protest signs or civil rights marches. Sometimes celebrating black culture in a way untainted by stereotypes constituted a different form of "resistance" to the curator, who, in this slide show, shares her thoughts on some of the 69 photographs in the recently opened Atlanta History Center show.
