THANKS TO THE METROWIDE festival Atlanta Celebrates Photography, October is photography month. The 7-year-old organization began by bringing in speakers and hosting special events. Now it seems practically every other institution in town has jumped on the bandwagon.
One hundred-plus galleries, museums, cafes, stores and law firms are hosting exhibitions this year. ACP's model even inspired a mini-photo fest in Pike County called Slow Exposures.
