E. Lynn Harris memorial set for Friday

Ceremony for late author will be held at Georgia International Convention Center

The family of the late E. Lynn Harris announced today that a memorial service for the Atlanta novelist will take place Friday, Sept. 25, from 6-9 p.m., at the Georgia International Convention Center, near Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.

Harris, 54, died July 23, during a book tour for his 12th best-seller, “Basketball Jones.”

He had already completed, but not released, his 13th novel, “Mama Dearest.”

Copies of “Mama Dearest” will be offered for sale at the memorial service.

The Georgia International Convention Center is located at 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park, GA 30337.
