Best of the Big A -- Sound off on Atlanta's best restaurants, nightlife and more

The Best of the Big A returns!

The accessAtlanta annual contest evolves this year into a new format enabling more conversations around your favorite metro Atlanta restaurants, venues, getaways and more. We will roll out a new category for nominations every couple of days in our new Best of the Big A blog. You may nominate as many Atlanta favorites as you like in each category. Nominees will be collected until 7:30 a.m. Sept. 3, 2008. Nominees will then be ranked for voting, which will begin Sept. 8 with winners announced Sept. 17. As an added incentive, we're giving away 20 small prizes to participants. Nominate your favorites for the best around Atlanta early and often, and come back to vote!

Every time we post a topic this summer, we'll tell you the prize. We're looking at Braves tickets, DVDs, new best-selling books, and movie screening passes. Each topic will have one prize. To qualify, just post your nomination. At the end of one week from the start of that topic, we'll pick a number using a random number generator. If the number is 87, then the 87th post wins the prize. In order to get your prize, though, you have to be registered with a valid email so we can contact you. No valid email, no prize. In that case we just move to the next post. For each topic, the prize goes to someone who posts in the first week. But the nominations in all topics are open through 7:30 a.m. Sept. 3, 2008. So keep nominating! Here is a link to the contest rules.close
