Madonna’s coming to Atlanta November 24
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Madonna is returning to Atlanta for the first time since 2004 on her new “Sticky & Sweet” tour. She’ll be hitting Philips Arena November 24, with tickets going on sale May 31.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame winner will be 50 by then but she’s been working hard not to show her age. Her latest album “Hard Candy” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard sales chart last week, moving 280,000 copies. This is her 7th No. 1 album, the second most of all female artists except Barbra Streisand. Her single “4 Minutes” (featuring Justin Timberlake) became her 37th top 10 hit, the most in the rock era, just ahead of Elvis.
Tickets will range from $55 to $350. Fan club members and Citicard members (http://privatepass.citi.com) will get early access.
Live Nation is handling the tour. After this album, Live Nation will also oversee her music in an unusual partnership.
Madonna skipped Atlanta for her 2006 Confessions tour.

Ok, time for all of the way-too-cool ultra-hip posers to bash her and sing the praises of their favorite non-commercial artist. Ready, Go!

I’d rather listen to my 6th grader practice the trumpet in the family room and I can do that for free.

I just don’t get it. Use to be a musician was respected, but now if you’re “hot”, and push the limits of decency, you get adored. She’s the biggest fake out in the history of music, and apparently very few people realize it.

Hey Zeke! Madonna isn’t anti-American. She’s anti-BUSH!!!! So is 80% of our country!
Even though I do love Madonna and her music, I won’t be forking out hundreds of dollars to see her. I’ll buy my favorite tunes of hers on iTunes for .99 each.

Madonna, fake? I don’t think so. So called Christians that attend Church every Sunday and then turn around and do everything that they are taught not to do, fake! Tickets that will be in my hand for the Concert, priceless!

Folks - if you don’t like her and don’t want to see her; Why are you wasting your time posting comments about her here? People like what they like - get over it. And YOU try putting on the show some of these guys put on and sing at the same time live! Ain’t happening! It’ll be a good time! :)

THERE IS A MISTAKE IN THE ARTICLE! You can’t join her fanclub (ICON) and get early access to tix. You needed to be a member by April 30th :( I’m very upset I didn’t join last month. Now I’m going to have to fight for good seats with everyone else on May 31st (you could have bought tix on May 27th had you been an ICON member before May).

350 dollars. ok. With gas skyrocking..food going up everytime you visit your supermarket. A recession, folks losing their jobs and homes..what Rocket scientist has 350 dollars to see this 50yr old chick in skin tights? She is so overrated and full of herself. And whats with all the kissing women in the mouth? whats that about? confuses the hell out of small children. She is a wreck. 30 bucks is way too much for her. Get into the Groove was her first last and best song..maybe like a virgin..but the rest..barf.

Who the ** is Tom Waits? He’s this amazing songwriter/artist/actor who has carved out a career that has had more breadth and depth than Madonna’s.
Artist, rather than celebrity. Poet, not porn star.

Madonna is THE QUEEN. She will have the biggest and most critically acclaimed tour of the year like her past tours. The handful of ignorant haters here will keep on jealously drooling as usual. They can’t cope with THE QUEEN continuing to reign supreme and remain relevant after 25 years while their one-hit wonder nobody acts sell 13 copies of their latest album and play gigs at fleapit dinner theaters.
