Single - and cheaper - Chastain tickets on sale today
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
For some Atlantans, it’s not officially summer until they load up the cooler, dust off the candelabra and lug it all up to Chastain Park Ampitheatre for some music under the stars.
Well, to those Atlantans, it’s that time again.

Oh come on, folks. There are plenty of venues in Atlanta catering exclusively to the younger deomgraphic and the bands they like (albeit, these preferences change from hour to hour…)
Chastain has always played to the wine and cheese crowd, for better or worse, and there are some outstanding and still relavent acts on this schedule, including Gipsy Kings, Indigo Girls, Jill Scott, Emmylou Harris and CSN.

Melissa Etheridge is for the lesbian crowd. Wouldn’t catch me near it. The only thing worse would be George Michael at Philips. Then you’re stuck with a bunch of gay guys making out. Gag.

Brandon is obviously one of those losers who talks through the whole show at Chastain.

Indigo Girls and Emmylou belong at the Fox Theater where audiences will show respect for their amazing music. Chastain will just be more of the same chatter and glass clinking over the music.

No Neil Young? Just CS&N? very low energy.
Wish I could go see Emmylou Harris somewhere else - oh, well.
News Flash: It is not 1968. Watch Eric Burdon, the Turtles et al on PBS during the telethon.

Well, Becky, see, if you talk at a concert, then we can’t hear the music. Did we pay to hear the artist, or you? Hmmmm?
