Tickets for another big fall show go on sale this weekend. Maroon 5 and Counting Crows have teamed up for a two-month-plus jaunt around the country beginning July 25 and running through Oct. 4.

Tickets for the bands’ Oct. 1 date at Lakewood Amphtihteatre go on sale Saturday, June 28, at 10 a.m. online at Live Nation and through Ticketmaster charge by phone at 404-249-6400.

Maroon 5’s latest album, “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long,” was released last year and debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart. Counting Crows’ “Saturday Night & Sunday Morning,” released in March 2008, was the band’s first album of new material since 2002’s “Hard Candy.”

In other show news, Dublin, Ireland-based Mexican acoustic guitarists Rodrigo y Gabriela will finally make their way to Atlanta in August. The pair, who met playing in a thrash metal band, will play the Tabernacle on Aug. 15 and the tickets go on sale Friday, June 27, at 10 a.m. online at Live Nation, all Ticketmaster locations or charge by phone at 404-249-6400.

Visa issues threw a monkey wrench into the duo’s U.S. touring plans (and a planned Atlanta date) last year, but those were finally resolved. Then they canceled some dates due to exhaustion late in 2007. Let’s hope it all comes together this time around.

Maroon 5 is my favorite group…Adam Levine, or whoever writes their songs, is a lyrical and emotional genius….hope to be in the front row!

Would love to see the Counting Crows but could really do without the 5 Morons. Anyone know who the headliner is?
