Ludacris Vs. Jay-Z — You Decide
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Lil Wayne may be the best-selling rapper — make that, recording artist — this year (in terms of first week numbers), but Atlanta rap mogul Ludacris upset him in vibe.com’s Best Rapper Alive tournament.
Now the hip-hop star born Christopher Bridges (top photo) is in the Final Four. And he’s going up against “the greatest rapper alive” (according to Lil Wayne), Jay-Z (below); while Eminem matches lyrical firepower with The Game.
(The Game - believe it or not - defeated Andre “Dre” Benjamin in the previous round).
You can vote HERE through Saturday at 12 a.m. .
After that, tell us why you chose who you chose. Or do you think it’s ridiculous for these four to be in this Final Four in the first place?
(The Top Two will be announced Monday on vibe.com).

They both have such lovely lyrics that I think they should play their CD’s in their church and in OBama Lama’s campaign offices. These thugs deserve nothing but contempt but they will breeze through life with little or no problems because the moronic public will buy their garbage. That is if they can stay out of prison…which ain’t likely.

I will always have love for Luda, but this one isn’t even close. Jigga runs away with this like Bolt the 100 yard dash. No question.

This one definitely goes to Jay-Z … Ludacris has a long way to go before he is on that level. The real tragedy is The Game beating Andre 3000!!! The Game is garbage! Andre 3000 can hold his own against any rapper (thats why no one ever tries to start beef with him).

Why even watse your precious time coming on to a blog voicing your opinion about rap music as a whole? Don’t you have anything better to do with your simple little lives the bash something you obviosly don’t care for? A normal human being would look at the topic of the article or blog, and if it was something that don’t like or have an ounce of interest in, GASP, they wouldn’t click on it. What a concept. So how about Get real, Mark, and Steve go play in some traffic. It must be hard when you three wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and wonder how you got to be such a hate filled douche.

Contest over in my eyes. How tha hell did The Game beat Andre? He’s the best out period. His work alone on Southernplayalistic outshines anything anyone has ever done. The Game is just a pety thug that comes froma coast that isn’t even hip-hop relevant.

And Steve, if you look at most newspaper websites, they have nusic and entertainment sections. Your argument for real news is so old, find some new material buddy. You asked who cares? Obviously you, because if you didn’t, you wouldn’t have given this article/blog a second look, let alone comment on it. MORON

Let me get back on topic. The Game beat out Andre 3000??? Who is judging this? Does anyone know if this was an actual face-to-face rap battle, or just judging it off of prior work. Andre 3000 has more talent in his farts than Game ever has or ever will. The Game is a punk and a wanna be thug. Even though I was born and raised in Atlanta, Jay-z is number 1, then Andre 3000 at number 2.

People keep saying if Tupac & Biggie were alive, this rapper, that rapper wouldn’t be here. So what, there is only room for 2 rappers? Competition is and was very prevelant in the rap game. Yes, they were great rappers, but let it go man. Even if I don’t like an artist, I respect them getting that money legally.

They’re both thugs who appeal to the ‘hoods who will never amount to anything. So go ahead, ‘hood rats, give them your money so they can live it up while your kids starve and your baby mama smokes crack.

I like both artists and think they are unique in their own way. For this post,I have to stay down with the A-Town and pick Luda! His lyrics have been off da chart lately. I like a person that speaks the truth. We do have the freedom to speak!

Both of these artist have been profiled on NPR. Although I’m not a big rap fan I do have respect for these two as artist. I know Ludacris is a college graduate. Not sure how many Rockers are. Jay-Z is part owner of NBA’s Nets, a clothing company, and President of Def Jam records (Beastie Boyz, Rihanna, LL Cool J to name a few). Also, Neither one of them has been to jail or would be considered gangsta rappers. And lets be intellectually honest for a moment, If Mozart was alive today he would probably be a rapper or a rocker.

NPR is a leftwing network. They always promote negative images. They won’t pass judgment on poor behavior. They hate traditional values.
