Another terrible idea by the city. We all know that 99.9% of the fans at the game will be white. Probably 90% of those fans will be from out of town. Why put these innocent people in danger? I can picture all of the thugs now standing outside waiting for the game to end so they can attack. Lets hope there is PLENTY of APD out there! Who would want to see these thugs play anyway?

Jennifer sweetheart, why must you and others in this great SOUTH that we live in be so negative and label people with your ignorant sterotypes? If you knew what you were talking about, you would know that the SEC Championship is played at the Georgia Dome and not Philips Arena. Parking for the Georgia Dome is not in the area where the Tabernacle is located, its on the other side, you know where the Dome is. Yea, you could park over by the Tabernacle but you stand a better chance of getting robbed taking that EXTREMELY long walk back to your car than you would by a bunch of teenagers who could care less about the game and just want to go see a free concert. Last note, if you have kids, check their Ipods, they are probably listening to Soulja Boy or Ludacris. Good Day.

Didn’t Bama fans beat the snot out of a UGA fan attending last year’s game at Bama? I wonder what percentage of those involved were white.

As far as Bama fans in Atlanta goes, the last time Bama was in the SEC Championship Game, I went to the Falcons game the next day and walked by a HUGE stain that looked like a pool of blood on one of the walk ways right outside of the Dome. Wonder if any Bama fans might have been involved in any random violence and what race they might have been…

Long story short, there’s more violence at a typical SEC football game than the typical rap concert.

The serial killer thing happens once every 10-20 years. Everyday, in Atlanta alone, there are 2-4 murders committed by blacks. That comes to around 800-900 per year in just metro Atlanta. I just think it’s funny that a certain element here goes overboard supporting young black men playing football but go absolutely ape $#%* about black rappers. Nevermind that the overwhelming majority of the black football players probably listen to these rappers (and a significant population of white students and adult fans).

I graduated from the University of Alabama and have vivid memories of white frat boys and sorority girls getting p** drunk during football games. Actually they would start drinking their cheap liquor on Thursday and stay drunk all weekend. It was nothing to see them fight at games, throw up, or pass out. My sorority had the highest GPA on campus and we girls wouldn’t be caught dead exhibiting that type of trashy behavior. Would I take the epic leap at labeling all whites as violent, uncouth drunks? Sure I would! Just kidding.

But seriously, we African Americans are judged by the worst of our race while whites get the luxury of individual judgment based on their own actions. This type of backwards thinking keeps the races divided and the Jennifers and Ricks of the world very ignorant.

The concert thing isn’t a racial issue. It’s an issue kind of like what ole jimbo jones is saying. It’s going to be after 11pm on a Saturday in a city already known for late night crime, with a ton of loaded people and a bunch of rappers. I’m sorry but when I see the way hip hop and rap people look and the lyrics, and the gun toting and the drugs and the attitude… I think problems also.

I won’t be there though. But I will look forward to some great stories Sunday morning.
