Where’s the best sports bar around Atlanta?
Atlanta has plenty of great sports bars, attested by the number and fervency of the nominations. But when it came down to it, there was one very clear winner.

Sweetwater Brewhouse on Moreland Ave. in Little 5. It has a great atmosphere, around 100 TV’s, great drinks at reasonable prices, and good food.

TACOMAC is by far the Best Sports Bar in Atlanta and Metro Atlanta! Excellent food and service, family oriented in the suburbs and city chic in Atlanta locations…An amazing number of beer on tap, and from what I’ve observed… from 30 to 60 flatscreen TV’s in every location. They also offer “To Go” service and superior catering. The company evolved from 1 store in Virginia Hilands, and is involved in the community.

Forget overpriced, mediocre places like ESPN Zone, with poor service—-what a joke! Stick with the local places—-Taco Mac’s decent, but the food’s not that good. Plus, not enough big screen TVs around. I kind of like Miller’s Ale House off Ga 400—decent prices, good set of TVs and pretty good service.

TACO MAC at Lindbergh Station. While I live in Va-Highland the original one is just too small. I’m sure the one in Midtown is great, but I haven’t been there yet. The one at Lindbergh has plenty of parking, private party room, and TVs from every angle. I don’t go to any of the ones OTP so I don’t know if they are as good. I’ve never been to a sports bar where everyone gets a good view of the game.

Every sports bar has lots of tv’s and cold beer. To me what makes a good sports bar is the food. The food at most sports bars is terrible. If I lived near a Wild Wlng Cafe I would always go there first when looking for a sports bar. I was pumped when STATS first opened, but after eating there twice I’ll make sure and eat before I go there next time. Taco Mac’s food….I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. Wild Wing obviously has wings, but everything else I’ve ever had there is what I would consider good bar food.

It depends on what area of town you are in. The best “unknown” sports bar in all of Atlanta is Varners in Smyrna. On Mondays, Varners has 2 for 1 Wing Night. If you are in Buckhead, the best sports bar is Dantanna’s. For all other areas in town, it’s Taco Mac.

Barnacles at Tilly Mill is the worst place. The TVs are small, old, bad picture. The bar stafff are not nice at all and think you should be honored to see them (and most of fat which is funny) and even though a urban crowd is there most of the time they staff acts racist.

Taco Mac has the best TV set-up in metro Atlanta. The beer selection is outstanding as well. You know that the atmosphere will be fun and full of people into watching sports. Everyone is there for the same purpose, and they like to have a good time.

My favorite sports bar is the Buffalo Wild Wings at Stonecrest Mall. I’ve been a regular there for about three years now and they always treat me like family. The atmosphere is perfect for adults and those with children and the food is good and affordable. I like how the manager always makes the rounds to shake hands with everyone and ensure you’re having a good time - not to mention that the lemon pepper and Parmesan garlic wings are the BEST around!

Y-Knots in Peachtree City is by far the best. They have 3 levels, bars on two of the levels, big screens on all three and a total of 37 tv’s in the whole place. $2 drafts all day every day. Very reasonable liquor prices and the best wings you’ve ever had. The rest of the food is awesome too. They are an official Ga Bulldogs bar and Pittsburg Steelers bar. The staff is awesome. You will want for nothing and if for some reason they don’t have something, Steve, the owner, will do everything in his power to get it or make sure he has it next time.

The gay and lesbian sports bar on Piedmont Road. As a gay sports fan, it is incredible and surreal to be there enjoying a game with a bunch of accepting men and women. Any STEELERS bar is the best Sports Bar in Atlanta.
Taco Mac has lots of beer but they dont know how to sit fans of the same team in the same area or how to organize the TVs properly.
They also have a horrible policy of putting the Falcons on all the big screens in the bar, even if there are no Falcons fans there.
Famous Pub is a mess. The have a sound system that is playing music instead of the game sound. I hate watching silent games!!!!!

The Line @ 285 is definitly the worst sports bar in Atlanta. The quality of tv’s, service, and attractiveness of the staff is horrible. How a sports bar in this day and age doesnt have new lcd’s or plasma’s is insane, especially with all the HD Sports out there.

When I lived off Powers Ferry I would go to the 285 Line to watch the Browns games. The waitresses used to be really cute and friendly, but now they could care less. Food was decent, and for a close proximity to my apartment it was good. Dixie Tavern is really cool. Not too many tv’s though.

Im not a fan of Line 285, I think they changed ownership recently? Whatever the case, it went downhill after that. Bad service, just the whole atmosphere is less than desired. It used to be so much fun which is perplexing how it could go downhill so fast.

Every time i go there the televisions are “broken” or the cable is “out”.
I used to go there when it was under different ownership (thats when it was awesome), and now talking with some of the peeps who still work there, they tell me the liquor is LITERALLY watered down, and the food is grade D. GRADE D!
DON’T GO THERE if you want your moneys worth.

The wife and I stopped there for a beer and some grub on the way through town because I had heard so many good things about it. Apparently there’s been some changes there. What’s a guy gotta do to get a drink in there? Do I have to come in waving 50 dollar bills? Do I need to be the manager of the Braves? Was I not the right type for the bar?
Freaking ridiculous +1.

Anybody remember Doris the bar maid. Drank there before Braves, Hawks and Falcons games and then when to the Cheeta before the games. Great memories.
