Kenny’s Margarita at Blackstone in the Vinings is heaven in a glass. The seasoned mixologist serves the classic cocktail with just enough bite to keep you coming back for more. Not to mention, he always serves it with a smile!

THE best margarita’s are at my house. My wife makes an amazing Margarita. I have yet to taste anything like it. I don’t know what she uses, she keeps it a secret.
Maybe that “secret” has keep us together for 25 years now.

Best Margaritas are at Caramba Cafe on N. Highland. Fresh squeezed lime juice and 100% blue agave tequila. Mia does a wonderful job of mixing drinks and moving them out faster than the Varsity moves hot dogs!

The Jimmy Roosevelt @ $20 from Trois is an expensive but necessary treat. But they also have a mean Dark & Stormy and a seasonal Peach Julip that’s pretty tasty. Best mixers in the city!!

Hand’s down the best drink in town has to be the fresh Blackberry Margarita served at the Chonas Mexican Grill located in a strip mall adjacent to Discover Mills Mall in Lawrenceville, GA. It’s loaded with juicy blackberries and for an added twist, sprigs of crushed mint are mixed in. Magnificent!
The Texas Margaritas are also quite tasty and potent. Chonas is also one of the few restaurants to serve a totally organic margarita.
On a recent Saturday night visit we were surprised and pleased to enjoy some late night karaoke fun that mixed very well with a Margarita or two.
Not to mention Chonas also has some of the best authentic Mexican food in the area and the wait staff is extremely friendly and fast.

The martini at the Highland Tap is the best in all of the big “A”. Served in a little beaker inside a iced brandy snifter, the martini is perfectly chilled and ready for pouring into your icy enjoyment.

Tie me to the Bed Post at TGI Friday’s on Pleasant Hill in Norcross. I love it so much I had the bartender put the recipe in my phone. I take it with me to every bar and have the bartender mix it up for me…still not as good as the guy at Friday’s though. Can’t remember his name, but he makes the best one!!

The best cocktail in Atlanta? Trader Vic’s has about 25 of them. I recommend either the Tortuga or the Zambowanga Punch. Both of them will knock you on the floor and use your head like a basketball. Try Trader Vic’s tonight! As the saying goes, “once you’ve tried Vic’s you’ll never go back,” or something like that.

I’m not normally a “cocktail” guy (beer/wine) but they just opened a tapas place, Red Sky, outside our neighborhood in east cobb that offers several absinthe-based drinks - try the gargoyle!
for those unfamiliar absinthe is a type of alcohol that was banned for decades because ignorant zealots told tales of poisonings, alleged hallucinogenic properties, etc. fortunately several years ago a european chemistry prof found a surviving bottle, did ACTUAL SCIENCE on it that disproved these myths and it’s legal again, even here in GA (which is not exactly know for basing policy on science)!
