I like both artists, but I bought Kanye’s! I went to Best Buy and they were side by side for $9.99. I saw a lot of people with both in their hands in line at the store.

I love Kanye’s style and music - I thought it was funny how he stood on his tip toes at the VMA’s on Sunday to 50. There is no rivalry between them…they are just hyping album sales…and good for them to keep it interesting. I do doubt 50 would really give up a solo career - remember all the people that supposedly “retired.”

Although both albums did live up to the hype. Kanye hit a grand slam whereas fifty was just able to hit a ground rule double. As always you will have to listen to Kanye’s album more than once to fully graps his genius. Fifty as always keep’s it street eventhough he has not been living in the streets for a couple years now. Kanye’s cd is about 50 times better then Curtis. Curtis is garbage, it’s a horrid collection of flop singles that have been floating around the internet for literally months. Kanye’s cd is almost all unreleased, sans last weeks leak of course. It’s a little shorter then we’re used to for him. It’s a cd that hits you and really like the first time you listen to it but you LOVE as you continue to listen to it. Nobody does sampling like him..

If you really love what you do (make music-if you can call it that-but that’s besides the point) Then why would you quit doing that just because your ego is so big you cant stand to be a loser. who cares if your album sells less, as long as its selling you are impacting some fan’s life and connecting with them in some way. And that’s what real musicians are all about. Music is an outlet to the soul, both the musician and fans. I bought both CD’s. First, I’d like to point out that both Kanye and Fifty are two totally different aspects of hip-hop. However, Kayne is lyrically more advanced in his presentation of his work than Fifty. If I had to make the choice all over again, Kanye would be the only CD worth my money, time and intellegence.

Wow. If you’re looking for a strong African-American male role model, try pointing your son in the direction of Donovan McNabb, Shaquille O’Neal, Rep. John Lewis, or perhaps one of his teachers.

He put out two classic albums when cd’s actually sold and downloading was nonexistant..This third album is good but not a classic.50 didn’t have to put a album out because he’s got other business deals(400 mil from coca cola. Everything after get rich and the massacre is extra.I glad he is where he is at because I have been a big fan before he ever signed with eminem.

CHAMILLIONAIRE — ULTIMATE VICTORY. Drops one week from today. It’s not going to out-sell Kanye and 50 because people up north are biased, but I am telling you all right now, it will be better than Kanye’s CD or 50’s CD. “Graduation” is Kanye’s worst CD so far, and 50 hasn’t made a good song in four years. Not to mention Chamillionaire’s flow makes Kanye and 50 sound like first-graders.

Personally, I don’t care for either one of them. And there is NO WAY I would spend a dime of my hard earned money buying either cd………like someone said earlier, they’re not doing anything to benefit me and mine, so they definitely won’t be spending my money.

I whole-heartedly support bootleg music and movies!!! Nothing against the artists and actors, but don’t they have enough bling, and fancy cars, and high priced homes already!! I will take my money and spend it on my family………and our bling, and home and cars!!!

This blog was a source of many laughs for me this morning. I see a lot of ignorance in here as far as comments go. Not sure how a blog about which rapper’s cd was better turned into a race war but it is what it is. To answer the question at hand I’d have to say Kanye’s album is better… albeit he is anal at times… he has real lyrics… not talking about “bustin his gun” all the time…. that is so played. Hip-hop needs the Dungeon Family… where did you all go? LOL

What you might want to do is do a little history on the founding of the AJC. You will be suprised at what you find. It’s been a racist organization from conception.

It hurts me to my heart that anyone would wish crack, death, or harm to another human. Empathy is sorely needed in Atlanta. The racist attitudes of other’s will never prevent me showing another person kindness. View people as individuals and what they contribute to society, don’t cover an entire race with your blanket of hate.

By the way the challenge between 50 and Kanye is just that, between them. If Kenny is number one great for him.

The AJC does need to do a better job of removing posts known to lead to these nescient comments.

Comparing country and rap artists is like comparing apples and oranges. One of the major differences is the market appeal of each genre’. Country appeals to a majority of white Americans. Rap appeals to a wider mix of ethnicities that reach far beyond America. Rap is global.

It’s not about race. It is about Chesney’s music is actually good and people want to buy it. You guys will see when your rap hero can’t beat a country boy from TN. By the way, KC has a degree in marketing. Do the other rappers have degrees? I was just wondering because all the talk of genius in their music. And no, degree does not equate genius..but it does equate dilligent work and seeing beyond the picture of stardom. Maybe they have honorary degrees from BCC or something like that.

I’d rather people live in the past than bring their hate to the present which you obviously have.
