Buy or make Valentine’s Day cards?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
It’s time for Cupid to kick his game up a notch.
Sometimes, the hardest part of Valentine’s Day is finding the perfect card to say “I Love You”, “I Really Like You a Lot” or “I Just Don’t Want to Sleep on the Couch This Week.”
Do you give store-bought cards or is your prose so tight you don’t need Hallmark? Which do you prefer to receive?
What’s the best card you’ve ever received?

My wife picks a pretty card that she likes and she buys it. When I get home from my girlfriends house I sign the card and I write something nice in it for her. This way, we are all happy.

My wife & I don’t buy cards for this Hallmark Holiday, even tho it is also our wedding anniversary. 19th in fact. We’de rather spend the outrageous price of a card on a good dinner out on the town or a special gift.

i once made a card on the computer that covered all the holidays we celebrate that required me to get my wife a card, and gave it to her on jan 1 for her to use all year. she did not have an appreciation for my efforts.

OMG Disregard the previous comments and MAKE a card. Takes very little to say alot. Men or Women love knowing you took a little extra time to be creative. Cut out words or pictures from a magazine and stick them on some cardstock. Write a poem, decorate the headboard, tuck a love note on their car seat. Creative trumps dollars anyday. Anyone can go out and buy a $5.00 card, one you make says I REALLY Love you!!
