What would you do with $270 million?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Here are the winning numbers: 7-12-13-19-22 Mega Ball: 10
Ah, the time between buying a ticket and hearing the results are worth the money I inevitably lose. Fantasizing about winning and spending the money is a favorite past time for some folks. What about you? Are you thinking about what you’d do with windfall winning?
Would you “call in rich” to work? Buy that beach house? Donate to charity? Produce a movie from that screenplay in a drawer?

We would pay off our house, cars and other bills. We would keep our jobs but take nicer vacations. We would help out our parents, grandparents and siblings. Give to the church and charity and put the rest in an account to sit.

After investing about half (after taxes) so my family and I will live quite well for the rest of our lives, I’d set up a philanthropic foundation with the rest. I’d distribute money to both organizations and individuals based on specific needs, whether large or small. I’d especially target people who are working hard to try to better themselves and just need a leg up, with things like scholarships for school and housing subsidies in high-cost areas.

I would give money to my church for the benevolence fund. To help people when they are short on bills, need money for food, etc. Then I would go on a monthlong vacation somewhere simple…Destin, FL. Buy a great new house. Give money to my Mom, Sisters, Brother, and few close friends. Then start a business I truly would love to do and live off the interest.

Then I would take care of the entire family and my closest friends; pay off all the houses, get all our kids’ colleges paid for, then quit my job (tell my boss to his face to kiss my grits); invest heavily in real estate; buy an airplane and hire a pilot to be on notice 24/7 and travel, travel, travel….and basically do anything and buy everything I have ever wanted..

I would randomly but would look up all of the ppl that I would give too. I would give to hard working…unfortunate families…I would also do the normal things. Buy a house, car, give to family, invest, and get my own business. I would also then go away and found my true love and never let him in on the fact that I am rich. I would let him love me for me. Share my good fortune with family and friends that I feel closest to, give some to charity. Then I would work with law enforcement, to track down as many child molester/sexual predators as we can. Often said what we will do..rather than what we will not do! Sadly, every person who have won millions..they are broke because they fail to plan well. People say that would be good to others and that might happen; some say they will buy a home, cars, etc., that good to. Here is one thing people fail to realize and understand. Once you start spending, you spend BIG, and you will say..I can afford anything I want. For that short time when you say that…you really start spending and the amount grows so fast until you wonder, how did I do that or how did that happen. When you when that great amount of monies; you fail to realize that when you accept half of the money instead of the whole thing; it becaome a big, big question because you take hald thinking you will not live to get paid over the next 20 years….and, that how you go broke because the half you take spend fast then you can actual control. After that, you think, I should have taken the whole amount beause its been 3 or four year gone by and your half is almost gone which you left the Lottery fatter with your hard earn cash that you did not take. So don’t say what you will do with that great amount of lottery winnings. Just hope you can manage it, and manage it well for the rest of your life!tgdeovd yoforONce

Probably net $80 million or so after taxes?
$30 million to churches and charities. $10 million into investments. a 7% annual return gives me an annual salary of $700,000.
Pay off debt. Buy a new house and a few cars. Maybe a beach house.
Large donations to my alma mater and my wife’s.
College funds and retirement funds started for my children and my neices and nephews.

I’d buy my dream car, hire someone to follow me with a boombox playing that “Money Money Money” song, buy an obnoxious gold suit that I would immediately burn at the end of the day. After the first day I would be conservative with the remainder, investing, paying off loans/mortgage, all that good stuff.

I would recommend most of you to donate to the hospitals and schools before you go and give to some of the churches in Atlanta. 10% would help pay for the fuel in your pastors jet and perhaps his Mercedes while he drives around to your wives home to sleep with her behind your back all the while he’s beating up one of his current live in girlfriends. Some of these characters crack me up. They have you so brainwashed about giving up your money. I drove by one church on Campbelton road the other day and the sign read ATM inside. That answers it all. Wake up folks. I suggest you do a little research before you decide to donate Sunday.

I would of course, pay for homes for each of my children, put away money for each of my grands college education and make sure that everyone I knew that was struggling was taken care of WITHOUT them knowing who did it for them! I would pay off my debts, buy 50 acres and build a nice house(4b/2b ski resort style)in the country away from the everyday headaches. I would set up my parents, brother, sister, closest friends and my two grandmothers, plus seeing about getting both of my grandfathers headstones redone nicer and bigger. And yes new vehicles for me, the wife, and my son. Throw some back for my son’s and daughter’s college education and adult life. Give some to the schools that my kids attend, make a trip to Hawaii every year on vacation with the family and closest friends and go hunting in the winter and golfing in the summer, and invest the rest. But I’d always be there for my kids, to watch them grow up, and always remember the value of a dollar.

I would purchase home(s), set up an account for maintenance/taxes, for homeless women with school-aged children; housemates to work as teams.
Account would be set up for retraining in local labor needs areas. The rest would be up to the women as teams to discover their wings and learn to fly.
Having a place to call home is a key component in self-esteem and stability from my perspective.

I’m stuck between a few major issues:
I’d either pay for VICK to get out of jail, then give him the rest to find a new team to cause problems for BECAUSE WE DON’T NEED HIS @$$ HERE!
Or-buy a new Governor for our state that actually cares about what the people want.
