Flav ups the ante with more contestants

So, apparently in Flav’s world, hot breath is more problematic than being a hot mess.
Shy is gone. I’m still in shock. As much as I like Hotlanta, it’s clear she has too much drama with her kids and ex-boyfriend back home in Marietta.
Shy at least — despite needing $22,000 worth of dental work to fix her teeth and gums — gave it her all and seemed to be there for Flav. He definitely didn’t make the right choice in booting Shy last night, in my book. (And he still is keeping those twin gargoyles. It’s a lot easier to solve a bad breath problem than it is to fix the chronically ugly.)
To add to the drama, Flav brought in four new girls. Yikes!!
Last night’s challenge — the six remaining girls had to pose/model for a sexy calendar — had me thinking about a recurring critique some of you guys have made about the Flavor of Love series: That it demeans women, black women in particular.
I wonder why one television show would have the power to do that?
The Rock of Love, another VH1 searching-for-love reality show starring has-been rocker Bret Michaels, has a bunch of white women clamoring after him. But I don’t think anyone would say that those women are representative of all white women.
How does the Flavor of Love and similarily-themed Rock of Love tarnish the image of women? And, what’s your take on the last episode? Who’s the frontrunner at this point? Who should have been sent home by now?

I really think they should have kept Shy. Even though she brought the drama, I think she would have been good for your boy Flavor. Even though I’m from the ATL and like the see ATL represented, I think HotLanta should have been sent home last night. The twins (which the name does fit) just giggle to much and keep up a lot of drama. Oh well. By the way Prancer and Seasons did the dang thang. I’m out

Honestly, he should have sent both Hotlanta and Shy home. Shy should have been ready to go as she allowed herself to be made a mockery. Hotlanta is clearly overmatched, she does not look the part. She is significantly older than the other girls, has no shape, and needs to focus on her kids. Basically.

Why hasn’t Seezens been exposed for what happened with Myammee? I think she was in on it, and not just ‘in the know.’ I honestly thought Prancer was next. Those Yuck Mouth Twins are in it to get rid of all the pretty girls, leaving Flav with the Klyngon and themselves.

Flav was part of the eighties and early ninties group PUBLIC ENEMY. Great band by the way. Flav is the darked skined guy who wears a clock around his neck. Type A personality and is paid too.

I commend Shy actually. She probably knows she has bad breath and even though Flavor Flav had the audacity to call her out on t.v. about it she kept her head up and she made it do what it do. I agree with everyone else he should have let Hotlanta go, coming from a real Georgia Peach she really is putting the ATL to shame, oh by the way if any of you all watch Keisha Cole’s reality show I was watching the show over the weekend and guess who I caught a glimpse of in the audience yes that’s right Hotlanta!@!! so I think she wants to be on t.v. too. Another thing what strip club actually hired her because she looked rediculous in that swimsuit, and she actually had the nerve to say that her regular customers never saw her naked? Go figure. I see why.

What causes the gigantic gap on both the upper and lower grills of both Thing 1 and Thing 2?
I’m serious. I’ve seen a lot of buck teeth in my life (mostly uppers) but having an identical gap in your bottom choppers hearkens back to something with evolutionary context. Like a cranial ridge or some such.
By the way, FoL / RoL doesn’t demean only women. We are all demeaned (and made dumber) by allowing this trash inside our heads. Self included, obviously.

The mix of the new girls is going to be funny. And Brett Michaels is a trip. I can’t wait till next weeks episode. I still contend these women know what they are getting themselves into BEFORE they agree to be on the show. Was it just me or does anyone think it is weird that 2 sisters want to take a bath with Flav and had the nerve to be almost kissing each other in the calendar shoot. That is weird on all levels.

And speaking of Rock of Love and Bret Michaels, I am glad they brought Heather back. “The Hungry Stripper” is bringing much needed flavor to the show. Not only are the ladies on ROL season two uglier than last season, they are also boring. Crying and carrying on. And NONE of them seem to be there for Bret. Even Bret isn’t all that into it.
