Plastic surgery more acceptable for teens?

Plastic surgery is not just for celebrities and the 50-plus crowd looking to reverse the effects of gravity and age.
Younger patients are getting nipped and tucked, too.
AJC staffer Vikki Conwell writes about the rise in the number of teens 18 and younger having plastic surgery.
Among that group, procedures rose from 59,890 in 1997 to more than 205,119 in 2007, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Procedures included breast reductions and non-surgical procedures such as laser hair removal and chemical peels.
Apparently, the increase is linked to greater acceptance by society, more surgeons and greater access to information via the Internet and television.

The MTV generation has been seduced into a shallow, self loving, self absorbing,seekers of pleasure culture that will eventually implode. What ever happened to common sense and raising kids to have more intelligence and moral standards. Now it’s all about looks, sex and parties. God have mercy on us and the next generation. I can’t believe so many soldiers in the last 200+ years have given their lives so that this post-modern generation can act like fools.

Really the only reason ANYONE should get a nose job is because they suffer some deformity, or perhaps injury from a prior accident. You can nip it, tuck it, pump it, implant it, but eventually gravity still wins and you look worse than if you’d just left well enough alone.
