Bigfoot located in Georgia?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The search for Bigfoot, the maybe-mythical half-man/half-gorilla beast also known as Sasquatch, may have ended in Georgia.
According to a press release issued by “Searching For Bigfoot,” a California-based web site, two men have not only found the corpse of a 7-foot-7, 500-plus pound man-monkey, but they’ve also found a tribe of his brethren living at an undisclosed location in the North Georgia mountains. The men are to appear at a press conference in California with “DNA evidence and photo evidence” this Friday.
According the the press release, one of the discoverers is Matthew Whitton, a police officer on administrative leave for being wounded in the line of duty. The AJC recently reported a police officer with the same name was shot during the robbery of a Krystal restaurant, but we’ve been unable to contact Whitton to see if they are one and the same.
Curiously, Whitton, along with fellow big-game hunter Rick Dyer, a former correctional officer, are co-owners of bigfoottracker.com and Bigfoot Global LLC., a company that offers Bigfoot expeditions. The men are working with allegedly famous Bigfoot hunter, Tom Biscardi, and Biscardi’s Searching for Bigfoot, Inc., to present and conduct the scientific study of the evidence and information on this body, according to the press release.

As a north Georgia resident I can confirm this. The tribe lives back in the holler in the Mountain Manor Mobile Home Park. The landlady don’t give them no guff either if they are late with the rent.

Wow, two guys that are looking to make money off of “Bigfoot expeditions” just happen to be the ones to find a tribe of Bigfoots in, surprise, the North Georgia mountains. Where are these guys basing their expeditions? Surprise, The North Georgia mountains.

I can confirm this is true. This is the family of my buddy Lester Earlwood Stuck AKA “WoodMon”. I have joined them for dinner several times where they dine mostly on squirrels and persimmons and make a mean acorn salad. They will however feast on pizza or a good sub if given the opportunity. Although not a natural food source for them, they will eat raw oysters shells and all. Good folks they are but very reclusive.

Well…the World is a strange place and just when you thought it was safe to stop believing in Synchronicity…here comes the Universe again. I heard Mark Richt was already on the road to North Georgia to sign them up for football. However, since they have been able to stay out of the news for all these years, I doubt they would fit into the GA football program where everyday another player is making the “bad” news and getting suspended. Perhaps they could be role models for the GA DAWGS. I would think they could spell DOG. They may not be able to pass the entrance exam, but so what, GA football players rarely get a degree

AJC, your credibility is at stake. Please report this only after you see the body/corpse, and have a scientific analysis show that it is a unique creature. I have always been fasinated by Bigfoot and would love to see evidence that one existed, but unless I see it in person, I ‘ain’t’ going to believe it.

I heard they found it near Suches, Georgia near those great vacation rental log cabins at High Valley Resort. Everybody should go up there (1 hour North of Atlanta), rent a cabin, sit on the rocking chair front porch with an adult beverage(s) and a steak on the porch grill. You are sure to see deer, bear, and maybe a sasquatch or two! I’m going to their website now…

WOW, the ignorance of a lot of people that come to this website becomes more evident each time they are able to post a comment. How can you take a simple story about Big Foot and turn it into a racial issue? There is no sense in something like that. None of us come from any type of animal. We are created by YHWH in His image. We are diverse and original. If you actually sit down and talk to people you will see there is not much difference between a lot of people. Some people may have more education than others, some may have more money than others, some may read more than others, some may work outdoors more than others, etc. So of course that will in turn create a different personality and just because someone does not think the way you do or speak the way you do or enjoy what you enjoy or does not look like you does not make that person less of a person. Go to the mall or the grocery store and sit around and watch people and I am sure you will find everyone looks different than you regardless of their skin color and you will also see that someone regardless of their color or background will probably act in a way that you don’t approve just because they are not you. Get over yourself and get out of your own Private Idaho and pull your head out of the place the sun doesn’t shine and wake up…..somebody on this planet actually loves you for who you are regardless of how you look.

I personally have heard of a large UFO sighting in the North Georgia town of Suches. Some friends staying at High Valley Resort had a UFO encounter, but I’m going to inform them that it was just Bigfoot. (What a let down!)
