What do you think of Biden on the Democratic ticket?

Barack Obama selected Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware late Friday night to be his vice presidential running mate, according to a Democratic official, balancing his ticket with an older congressional veteran well-versed in foreign policy and defense issues. What do you think of his selection?

Biden? Biden was one of the strongest opponents to Barack. Biden stated unequivocally that Barack would not be ready to lead this Nation for yet another 15 years! Now he’s Barack’s VP? It will interesting to see if Barack can still pull it off without the majority of Hillary’s 18 million voters that will surely now be in Mcain’s corner.

Wave of disappointment that he didn’t have the guts to deliver an Obama/Clinton ticket—that would have been so righteous, they would have been unbeatable. That only happens in the movies, I guess. My family will still support Obama, of course, and we like Biden. Hope they can win in November!

One can already read (here and elsewhere) that the 29%ers (McCain included) are angry over this pick. That means one thing above all others: Senator Obama got it right. This election just became a lock for the Democratic Party.

Biden is a liar, having had to drop out of a past presidential race because he was caught telling stories about the struggles of his childhood to a crowd of supporters, except the stories were actually about another guy’s childhood. For all who claim Bush is a liar, how can you now put Biden in the vice presidency?

This simply tells you that this is Obama is a real Democrat who welcomes criticisms and uses it to advance his course. Wise and honest people do not make critics their enemies. They use criticism as a tool to measure their weaknesses and improve on them; that is what makes them powerful.

If you old politics demands that you punch your critics on the face. Terrorize him with guns and bombs if possible never reason with him even if he is right. We see that in Bush, we see that in McCain and we have seen how such politics has ruined this country. This country need honest people to turn it around and not proud and ignorant war veteran bullies.

Th Mccains are angry and all they can do is to throw stones at anything that can save this country from their blistering machine.

Why will they not panic and get angry on Biden”s pick? They will no more have much to say about “inexperience and not being ready to lead”. They better start looking for another campaign topic very fast because the slogan of “inexperience and not ready to lead” is fast evaporating.

What a coward. He knew he had no experience, no cahunas, and was weak foreign policy wise so he picks someone MORE qualified than he to be President!! What a joke! Once Mccain picks Romney, forget it Dems..it is all over for you again. You can never pick a viable candidate can you? The one the Dems should have picked was Hillary, and you blew that fish out of the water. Of all of the candidates, she was the most qualified. I am voting for Mccain too. The Biden pick is a good one. The job of a VP is to be president’s final ear and voice on major decisions. Biden has 35 years experience and a solid record. His foreign relations experience is unquestioned. Barack can continue to promote and institute his message of change, and still govern in the best interests of this nation. All the cartoon rethoric about Biden saying this or saying that means nothing. This is our country we’re talking about and the choice he made is a sound one.

I don’t know if I can stand for 4 years of watching his hair plugs change, and his endless variations on pink ties.

Blowhard Biden is the most egotistical, arrogant, sefl-centered and sharp-tongued Democrap partisan in the stable.

Because of this, he’ll fit right in with OBLA-BLA-ma.

Biden has a tendency to let his tongue run loose and step in it. I will GUARANTEE there will be a controversy about this blabbermouth hack spills out off-the-cuff. He’s already stepped in it with his racist stereotype comment that hacked off the justice brothers (the reverends Sharpton andJackson).

Believe me, as much as this guy talks, everyone is going to be SICK OF HIM by the time November rolls around.

If Biden is so great, why didn’t the Democraps nominate him in the primaries?

Could it be:

-Nobody thought he could win.

-The guy’s mouth gets him into too much trouble?

-He stated Obama wasn’t ready to be president—maybe in 15 years?

-He has little personal appeal, coming across as biting, critical and sharp-tongued.

-Women are turned off ~~not only by this guy’s mean-spirited personal demeanor, but “he’s not Hillary*.

Having Biden on the ticket is like having a neophyte green-horn running the office and the experienced expert telling him what to do.

O-bummer is going to have to explain why Biden is not at the top of the ticket.

“Change we can believe in”??? Biden has been part of the establishment since the 1970s!!! That’s not change we can believe in. Furthermore, Biden doesn’t even speak his own words or tell his own stories; he picks the stories of better orators (e.g., Kinnock) and makes them his own.

Biden is perhaps the worst mistake O-blah-ma has made. Now we can really listen to loquacious rhetoric. Blah, blah, blah.

The democratic ticket is strengtened with Biden as the VP nominee. Biden is analytical and is able to assess the military and political situation. He can easily counteract the fuzziness of McCain’s arguments; for example, the real reason for the surge was to make it possible to settle the Iraqui political situation not to “win” the war in Iraq.

McBush is a doddering old fool who never had an original idea in his life, not to mention he was a crummy pilot which multiple crashes to prove it. You left wing nut jobs are classic! If Obama had chosen a cat you would have said that’s OK he is still the ONE. You are so blind. Biden is the best thing that could have happened to McCain - No excitement in that pick. Wake up and don’t let Obama move America toward socialism.

The next 3 mos. of summary on what an abortion ‘w’s presidency has been will not be sugar coated by Senator Biden.

Grab your ankles, Republicans!! HAHAHAHA!

Oh, what fun! Hopefully McSame will draft Jeffs Romney, the poligamist mormon to add to the fun! HAHAHAHA! I’m sure the Christian will love that! HAHAHAHA!

I thought Obama would have gotten a more moderate Democrat to offer some balance, but the Democrats think they can win no matter what this year. Therefore, they’re pushing their Socialist agenda to the extreme with these two. I’m no fan of McCain either, but I’ll go to the polls to vote against Obama-Biden.

To All Hillary Supporters…Heres is the deal…if we vote for Mccain then we have a shot at the presidency in 2012. If you vote for Obama and he wins, Hillary will likely never have another shot. Given the fact that Obama is so disrespectful to us and the fact that Mccain is not the typical republician..I say we get back at Obama and give Hillary a shot in 2012. Vote MCCAIN!

Obama talks about being the canidate for change and behind the scenes he is leaque with the old guard of the Democratic party, that have continued to demoralize this country with terrible policy making as they have controlled congress. Where is the change that you espouse Barack? It certainly is not in your voting record and now in your pick for a running mate.

You people are the reason the electoral college still exists. “The masses are ASSES!” This was a great pick for Obama. Clinton??? Why? Because she is a white woman who isn’t used to losing. Blacks have been losing all of our lives! Should Obama have given in to the political pressure of selecting HILLARY as his VP! HECK NO! Obama is moving this country forward! If you dumb blondes want to vote for the OLD GUY, go ahead! Don’t go crying when your husbands, sons, nephews, and fathers are drafted for the next war by that war monger! People…give me a break! For all of the angry Clinton supporters, please vote for McInSANE! Let’s see what happens when Roe v. Wade (1972) is tossed out and it is a crime to have an abortion in the “land of the free.” What is more important to you? Electing an African American male who will do the right thing or electing a old guy (who is near death) and killing more of our children. I am sick of it! Wake up and get some sense!!!!

All you people who are voting for Obama because he is black are the ones that are going to suffer the most if he is elected. His “CHANGE” is going to be to run our country into the ground and make us the laughing stock of the world.

As a longtime supporter of Senator McCain, I’ll admit that my greatest political fear was the idea of Senator Obama choosing Governor Sebelius as his running mate—-a smart, dynamic, battle-tested chief executive from the heartland with lots of crossover appeal and no Washington baggage. Instead, Senator Obama chooses a man who, while a very intelligent/experienced/respectable politician, has been a Washington Beltway insider for literally decades——which, of course, goes against the grain of Senator Obama’s key message, the “Yes we can!” changing of the culture of Washington. Senator Biden epitomizes the culture of Washington, for better or worse. And obviously, Senator Obama’s failure to choose Governor Sebelius or another capable female candidate is (intended or not) a slap in the face to Senator Clinton and all her supporters, many of whom have worked for decades to open up the political process to women. Ideologically speaking, I’m no fan of Senator Clinton; but I do respect and admire her as a woman of substance, and for blazing so many trails for our generation’s daughters and granddaughters. 2008 was to be THE year—-the year when the dream would come true, the year when women would finally break through and blaze the trail to the front door of the White House. Instead, Senator Obama swooped down at the eleventh hour and—-while winning the nomination fair and square—-created the perception that he is a dream killer, that the implied message of his candidacy (bolstered by his choice of a man as a running mate when clearly he should have chosen a woman to bind the party’s wounds)—-that his message to Democratic women is “Get in line, honey. It’s my turn. Cool your heels for the next eight years.”

Obama Hussein is the biggest moron since Walter Mondale. He may as well picked Carrot Top as his running mate. All John Mccain has to do, now, is sit and watch the democrat party eat itself. This is what I don’t get about the diehard Hillary supporters:

What exactly are the main policy differences between the two, a slight difference in the approach to health care coverage? A differing approach to the mortgage crisis?

What policy issues do McCain and Hillary Clinton actually have in common?

Any so called Hillary Supporter who votes for McCain is a fool, and more than likely influenced more by the color of a candidates skin than anything else.

If Obama had selected Clinton as VP, it would have been an act of appeasement and cowardice. Not picking Clinton was a bold decision that will serve him well.

Awful pick, from a moderate’s point of view. Biden brings nothing exciting or new to the ticket. I was planning to vote for him, and especially if he picked Nunn, but now not so much.

I guess Obama’s abandoning his 50 state strategy - the one that won him his party’s nomination - and now just focusing on the liberal vote he already had. Not the change I was hoping for.

Most of you people on this blog are insane. Why don’t you just admit the truth. You never planned to vote for Obama anyway. Hillary’s supporters on this blog are just plain stupid. If you truly believe in the democrats stance on the issues, you would still vote democratic. Hillary lost fair and square. Why do you insist on blaming Obama? The nomination was Hillary’s to lose. She lost. However, if she had won I would vote for her because I am a democrat. I would not take my vote to the republicans because the person I wanted to win lost. Are you voting for personal perferences, or for the democratic policies. Policies that will bring this country forward and out of the royal mess we are in right now. You would have had a problem with Obama no matter who he had chosen for VP. Grow up why don’t you!
