Biden vs. Palin: What do you expect?

The debate between VP rivals Sen. Joe Biden and Gov. Sarah Palin will pit a 35-year congressional veteran against a newcomer to the national political scene. And some people expect it to be a verbal bloodbath.

Interest has heightened in the debate since airing of several Palin interviews in which she came across as being ill-prepared to take on rough foreign policy and economic issues. Biden, according to some, must tread carefully so as not to be seen attacking Palin personally. Palin clearly propelled the Republican ticket forward after the addition to the ticket, but since then her popularity has fallen.

A Washington Post-ABC News Poll found 6 in every 10 voters see her as lacking the experience to be an effective president, and a third are now less likely to vote for McCain because of her, according to an article in the Post. One thing is clear, they both will have to stay focused on how each ticket will deal with the pressing issues of the economy and foreign policy.

What are your expectations for the debate?

Sara will be judged the winner because she can only go up at this point. Not even the lying GOP has been able to sell the notion that she is the best VP candidate they could find to be second in command to an old man. She has no substance or knowledge to be able to even handle what “W” has faced. It’s just too scary to even consider voting for her.

And Obama has the experience? Anyone else find this a little odd?

Palin is in a no-win situation. Even if she does well, the lame stream media has already decided she lost. And the dumb masses who get their news from ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and People magazine will be in lock-step.

Comments like the ones from ProudToBeRight just prove my point. The Republicans have chosen to offer America insults, finger pointing, and excuses, instead of solutions. McCain and the GOP had their chance to win this moderate vote but, like many of our citizens, pushed us towards the left and real change. We can’t afford rhetoric, we need results!

ProudToBeRight….can you explain Kathleen Parker’s article on Sarah Palin???

Dumb masses??? She is one of them! She calls herself a regular Joe 6 pack!

While I actually think she will do okay tonight, she is not VP material.

With his choice, McCain killed the experience argument. It is apparent she is was not fully vetted. If he had it to do over, I can guarantee he would have picked a better prepared woman!

I hope Biden further unmasks Palin as sorely unprepared for the spot of VP.

McCain is a fool for gambling his bid for the White House and the security of this nation on Palin should he win.

McCain’s choosing of Palin solidified my choice for Obama.

Our next President and Vice President will be decided by one thing: the votes we cast on Nov. 4th. The rest is hype, dubious polls and media orchestrated “debates”.

Ideally, we should have each candidate describe, in some detail and not in generalities, what she or he will do to help the nation help itself in the areas of economy, foreign affairs and domestic tranquility. The candidates should speak seperately, without being able to here the answers of their opponent. The questions for both candidates should be identical. In this way, the public will be able to make an informed decision, without favoritism from the moderator and without wasted finger pointing.

The “town hall” method can also be a good test of the candidate’s character and experience IF questions are not rehearsed beforehand.

As for polls… there should be absolutely none (as far as political races go), as the serve no useful purpose whatsoever IMHO.

i expect one of two things out of this debate 2nite: either palin make a VAST improvement on the ability to answer questions clearly and concisely further ending the media scrutiny or this could be the KO blow for her and her popularity plummets even more. she needs to recover FAST

Sarah is going to lose. Period. Biden even looks more presidential. If something happened to McCain or Barack, I surely wouldn’t want her to be in charge. The thought of that sends chills down my spine.

Palin is soooooo out of her league. She needs to go on back to Wasilla and get back to being a “hackey” mom.

The Republicons are the party of slogans. It’s easy for her to get up there and recite the same old lines. The simple minded will like her. Remember when “The U.S. should not be in the business of nation-building.” was one of those one-liners?

If Sarah Palin attacks Joe Biden, I hope he attacks back with a smile, without sounding condescending. She would be an idiot to try to attach his foreign policy, when she doesn’t know anything about the world. That would be like Joe trying to tell her about child birth.

Sarah lacks a lot of things and knowing about the economy and foreign affairs is definitely on the Top 5. I’ll give her credit on the oil industry, parenting skills and the ability to multitask.

However, she is definitely NOT VP material.

If she holds her on in this debate, it will be because Biden didn’t go on the attack. He should let her have it.

Hey McPain, let me see if I can answer some of your questions.

“The Republicans have chosen to offer America insults, finger pointing, and excuses, instead of solutions.”

Insults? The lame stream media and democrats insult McCain and Palin daily. When was the last time you saw a democrat insulted by the media?

Finger pointing? Oh, like Pelosi did the other day when she blamed the Republicans for failing to pass the bail out? What about the 94 democrats that voted no?

Excuses? You mean the excuses the democrats used to say the economy is in the shape it is because of Bush policies? Correct me if I am wrong, but you guys have the majority in the house and senate. If you thought the bill was so great, you had the votes to pass it and didn’t.

Solutions? And exactly what are Obama’a solutions again? Oh yeah, check your tire pressure, and raise taxes on the wealthy.

“McCain and the GOP had their chance to win this moderate vote but, like many of our citizens, pushed us towards the left and real change. We can’t afford rhetoric, we need results!”

Yeah, I’m sure you were going to vote Republican. We can’t afford rhetoric, but so far, that is all Obama has given us. He is nothing but a bumper sticker.

My prediction is Obama will win the election because the left wing media has such vile disdain for Bush and the Republican party. It is a sad day in America when we have a media machine that can get away with slander and lies. No wonder Fox News is killing everyone in the ratings, and print media is declining.

Prediction: Tomorrow’s spin will be: 1. Palin was able to name 3 countries in Europe so you know her foreign policy credentials are sound. 2. Joe Biden is a big sexist meanie and he was so mean to this poor woman.

Of course Biden will win tonight! Everyone in the media has already decided that, along with its sheeple. Everyone here in this post is already slanted. You will not even give the woman a chance tonight. Instead of being open minded and listen to what she has to say, you instead will be picking at every word. I wish Sarah was as bright and intelligent as all you folks are. And how many here have been Governor before? Honestly, I think democrats are scared to death of this woman. She might not know every detail of the Bush doctrine, but she is not afraid of a fight either. And, if Joe Biden is such a great pick for VP, how come he has never gotten enough votes in the democratic presidential primaries? Lets just wait and see what happens tonight, I think people are going to be surprised.

Those in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

You know, most of you socialist pigs just don’t get it. We are very well aware that McCain and Palin may not be the best suited people for the job. If I could have it my way, I’d put Bush back in office for another 4 years. However, I don’t have that luxury, and have to leave it up to half you morons. Therefore, let me make one thing perfectly clear. Obama won’t do this country ANY GOOD. He wants to socialize medicine. Who do you thinks gonna pay for that trillion dollar plan? Huh, that’s right. ME AND YOU! He wants to pull the troops out of Iraq and increase laws on gun regulation in the states. Because protection isn’t valued in America anymore.

We’ve all become too soft. Which is why you’d rather vote in the inexperienced good-looking president over the war-fighting, no-nonsense Senator that should be elected!

Palin is going to rock Biden tonight. Let’s get that very straight. Because she knows during the depression that FDR didn’t discuss the economy with American Citizens via television. Oh, and she also knows that wheel-chair ridden men can’t stand up to talk to her during a town meeting.

You can’t go from working fries at McDonald’s to being General Manager after only 143 days. That sounds much like a fascist liberal i know running for President…..

Fellow Conservatives, PRESS ON. Because we know Hitler gave great speeches too.

ProudToBeRight,

Obama will win because he is an intelligent, forward looking, has world views and understands the economic issues in this country.

His world view alone makes him more likeable to most. He knows how to win friends and influence people, which is actually great for foreign policy. He knows that kicking butts and taking names should be a last option.

His community organizer skills, puts him up close and personal with main street economic issues.

If you have noticed, they have not backed up their posts with any facts, just rhetoric, like their “Chosen One” has done. They want “Change” but they don’t list what “Change” they want.

Oh goody, so lets invite him over for dinner, and maybe he can organize our community garage sale!

Are you kidding me? Really, that is what you are looking for in a President? And you vote? Oh jeez, God help us!!!

Sarah isn’t an idiot, she just has no experience with a national election. She is the Gov of a state that has fewer people than most mid-sized cities and is basically not used to the in depth digging of the media and the even more in depth digging of the internet bloggers. I blame John McCain for putting her (and her family)in this position. I worry more about his mental and physical health than anything else.

Obama is going after the young voters that know no better. They have never had a real job, they have never made a house payment, they have never been a member of society. They have been sheltered by their parents and that the facts.

Now I hope Govenor Palin states the facts. Obama is not ready to be president. Biden said so himself. Biden also said outright before he was asked to be VP running mate that McCain was one politician who help america first. That Biden would be honored and proud to run with McCain as his VP. Does that sound wierd to you.

Obama knows nothing about economics and nothing about Defense. He wants one trillian in new spening, wants to raise taxes first on middle income workers making 45K per year, voted for one of the largest tax hikes in amierican history (251B during the Presidency) then he wants to raise winfall profit taxes, he wants to let the Bush Tax cuts drop and he wants to raise corporate taxes. This is a disaster waiting to happen. The american college kids that will look at his smile and believe his lies will vote for him but the economy will fall and there will be no jobs anywhere. Thats Obama.

Now as for Palin, she has been a mayor of a small town yes, she has also been governor of Alaska with billion dollar budger and billion operating budget, she has 2500 employees working under her. She wants to get the ecomony working and she supports the working class people. That tells me she is much more capable then the Democratic Presidental candidate to become president. Obama was to busy with his campaining to go to washing to work on the bailout. McCain left his campain to go work on the bailout to PROTECT the people.

There is a lot here and economics people all over the country are trying to tell the Democrates this. They are solving now what the Democratics did. McCain tried to put a bill on the floor in 2005 to stop this, the democrates said no, its not in trouble. Now look at who is actually in the trouble mix. All the economic advisors that were in the Clinton office. Wow, and the democratics didnt know that the democrates were getting rich off this now burden to the taxpayers. Give me a break. What bothers me even more is that these people are the economic advisors to Obama and Acorn was due to get a huge payoff off this bailout. Thats until the Republicans (McCain) and even a few democrats stopped it. Yes it was a very very bad deal for the american people the way it was first written.

I personally want my freedom, I want economic growth, I want the companies who went overseas to come back here. I want to work, I want to save, I want to retire, I want my kids to know the freedoms I grew up with. You wont get that from Obama. Just open your eyes and stop listening to the News covering Obama (who are not even owned by this country) and start using your own brains. Dont be brainwashed by the Obamas JUST WORDS, JUST SPEACHES).

So what do I think of Palin? Well she needs to bring up a few things that I just did and make Biden answer for once. Nobody else is asking about Obamas terriorist bomber friend Willian Ayers who he gave 50 millions dollars to. I have to wonder if any of that 50 million went to help him bomb the Pentagan. Good question dont you think? If not then you deserve what you get if Obama is elected. Dont think for one monent you wernt told about this. I guess some people just have to live it before it is realized. Then they will still blame McCain and the replubicans.

Proud to be right-
Why argue with these idiots. Your not going to “Change” there minds. The are sheep being lead to slaughter by the liberal media appointed Messiah.

So I was driving around the other day and decided to flip the radio over to Hot107.9. That’s right liberal’s I said Hot107.9. I was wanting to hear something different. I was SHOCKED at what I heard. The were interviewing some fellow name Titty Boy (forgive the spelling). I was amazed first and foremost his name was titty boy.So as the interview was being held T. Boy was talking about getting your right to vote back if you were a felon. They discussed crimes that you could commit that would lose your right to vote. Ironically they were being sponsored by the ACLU. But T. Boy then said he fault like the only crime that should cause you to lose your right to vote was rape and murder. It was at that point that I decided it was time to move from this area filled with liberal minded dolts.

Now on to the debate’s. Palin will wipe the floor with Biden. Biden will the start a downward spiral into resigning. Hillary Clinton will then be annouced as the new VP nominee. The left will never get called out by the media for this act. Just as Obama has never once answered a question about Bill Ayers or Tony Renzko. He will be elected as our nations first and last black president. Because he is being voted in on the color of his skin. America will then be a socialist nation and we will allow felons to recieve the right to vote again. It will be the first time in our nations history someone will be elected on words such as “HOPE and CHANGE”. The US liberal media will own the white house.

One last thing…I love the left bringing up how much the people outside of this country love Obama. I truly could give a damn what Europe thinks of America.

I have to say this. I am so sorry for my typing in above. Please read the content and the message and dont worry about the typing. Its important that this gets across.

Obama and his policies will lead this country straight into the biggest depression this country and actually the world has even known. Dont be fooled by his looks, look at his record.

One more point I want to make. Obama voted AGAINST a bill that would offer medical attention to babies born alive from botched abortions. In my eyes if a baby is born alive and the parent wanted it dead then the state and our government have a duty to that baby to give it the medical care it needs to survive. Obama said no. This is happening people. Aborted babies are born alive and thrown in closets and rooms to die, cying, alone and there are thousands upon thousands of people that would love these babies and raise them. Ever heard the word adoption? So if Obama is capable of killing those babies, do you really think he has your best interest at heart.

There is also his step-brother living on a dollar a day. Poorer then poor. Obama cant even give his brother money to live well. In that country his brother would be considered rich on 100 per month. Another let down by Obama.

Now go look at his grandfather. A militant who when he lost the election went on a rampage and killed thousands of people. Obamas grandfather. A millitant. Dont tell me its his grandfather because the roots dont grow far from the tree.

This is man I not only do not trust but am very afraid of. He is out to ruin life as we know it. If Obama wins this election, life as we know it will be changed forever. Whos gona stop him? The Democratic majority of the house and senate. Oh I highly doubt it. They will continue to get rich off the taxpayers, thats if there is any working people left to pay taxes. Truely amazing what people can believe. Also truely amazing what people will shut out. Wow.

If our truely want change, McCain is for the people, all the people. He has shown it over and over. He did not pull the money away from our men and women. He voted for the tax cuts, he wants to cut corporate taxes, he wants to pull the overseas employers back to america, he wants to help people on goverment assistance get the education needed to give them a good life. Obama, well he wants the illegals to get the college schoolarships and voted for just that.

Wake up america before its to late. We have around 45 days. Read, look at real records. Take the time out to research something will impact your for the rest of your life. Take the time dont depend on others. Go look at voting records.

Obama is not qualified to run this country. He is more interested in Russia and Iran and France and all the other countries people. He wants to tax and spend and its not his money.

Oh by the way, Biden gave a whole 3K to cherity during he last several years. Hes great when hes spening or money, but hes not so great when it comes from his own pocket. McCain has given hundreds of thousands of his own money. Who cares more? I would say McCain. Facts are FACTS!

Now McCain is too old, war beaten, almost to death, and needs to sit down and retire already. All normal Federal employees are retired at this age, right??? Gov. Palin is not as bright as we thought. How did she get to be a leader at all of anything???? The VP rep. can’t seem to answer simple questions. Sen.
