Rodney! Why didn’t you tell us that Taylor was performing at half time during the Orange Bowl last night?! I almost missed him! I won’t be speaking to you for a while.

Anywho…Seems like Season One was a boring crowd. I vaguely remember them. But I think Ryan Starr rings a bell. I think she was the Katharine McPhee of the season - wanted to be seen more than sing.

Christina was the really cute girl that Simon had a crush on, right? That was funny.

Hey all!! If you get a chance, read S2S magazine. Fantasia is on the front cover and answered a lot of questions about her new CD, etc.

Basically, she said that she did not know her father’s reasons behind the lawsuit because when they did the book and movie, all four of them told their side of the story (Tasia, her mom, grandmom, and dad) but that they are on speaking terms and she will always love her daddy. She says that she had to put Zion in private school because she started her at public school and she was a little behind because she had never been to any type of school since she was born so the other 5 year olds knew more than her and the teachers told Fantasia “we are not going to treat you any different because of who you are”. She says that she and her mother are in school getting their diplomas, not GED. She says that alot of people offered to just “give” her a diploma but she wanted to do it the right way. She commented on her new CD and how she was able to be herself more on this and how she missed her music while filming her movie and probably won’t be doing any more movies right now. She does not have a boyfriend but has a huge crush on Andre 3000, of which according to the magazine, alot of women want him right now. WTF?? Nev’ mind. Anyway, she also said that when she kissed Jamie Foxx, it was only supposed to be a peck but it got really intense and one thing led to another and she enjoyed it alot!!! She will be touring with Jamie here soon so I wonder what will be going on behind the scenes. Um hum!! And the last thing I remember her saying was that she is going to focus on working out this year and looking right and that she will always have short hair. Her next hairstyle will probably be dreadlocks because she thinks that they look good. Jex, Tasia with dreadlocks? Nev’ mind. I already know what you are thinking.

And WTF is up with the WTF for Andre 3000? I think he is SO sexy. It’s not all about the looks, he’s so versatile and very intelligent. Notice that you hear a lot more about him than Big Boi.

I like his style and that he doesn’t care what anyone thinks.

The WTF was because I think he is weird. I have never really thought about his looks. I like Big Boi and Andre but I don’t know about the sexy thing. But I must agree. He is a musical genius and very intelligent.

Happy New Year everyone! Season one of AI was rather blah, and looking back the talent was quite dismal (with a few exceptions). All I remember about Ryan Starr was her shirts cut up to her braline and bad attitude. Can’t imagine she will have any luck landing a reality show or anything. Justin was a joke and he will continue to fade into obscurity!! The rest aren’t even a blip on the radar screen.

Exactly mystique. It’s like, what the? who ARE these people? And if Ryan doesn’t have a show by now, more than likely she ain’t gonna get it. Washed up RealiTV people don’t last too long. And she did seem to have a very kuffed up attitude.

Ryan Starr should try out for “Surreal Life” with all the other has beens. Oops, she never was a star, so much for that.

As for Justin, I don’t understand why people always hate on him. Justin had a very nice voice but it was very soulful. I think he was stuck in the wrong genre (Pop) when he should have been R&B. And finally Tamyra Gray started out hot but has now faded into oblivion. Kelly was definitely the star of that group but at the time I just didn’t see her having longevity. Apparently I was wrong.

Eve—Ryan Starr WAS on the first season of Surreal Life and she came across as sullen and unhappy. And when I saw her at this TV network convention last year at the Georgia World Congress Center, she came across as sullen and unhappy. And yes, the first year’s crew wasn’t exactly a stunning pool of talent but the no. of people who tried out was far smaller that first year.

There were alot of gay guys on season 1 werent there? Not that there is anything wrong with that. hahahaha I would like to know about some of the singers that didnt make it to the top 24, but came really close. I really hate that AI cut some really good singers just for laughs. The Copa Cabana guy last year was a real joke.
i hope these kids and young adults go into this realizing that they are the butt of some producer’s joke and not real talent. I wonder if Randy, Paula and Simon have any conrol over who the top 24 are. When this show is over/dead, The trash talk will begin. That is what i am looking forward to.

diane, I think a lot of the contestants just want to make it to television for the exposure. If they can get a couple of calls from an agent or producer, that gets them some recognition that can start their career or branch off into something more fitting. Like the cover of Maxim.
