10/23: Carrie Underwood goes wax, Diana DeGarmo stalker goes on trial

Carrie Underwood unveiled her wax version of herself Wednesday at Madame Tussauds Museum in New York City.

I won’t dare make any jokes about this because really, it’s way too easy. I’ll leave that up to you!

Caption photo please!

More exciting info here.

She also has a special holiday version of “Carnival Ride” out just on Wal-Mart.. Five Christmas songs are included.

-Poor Diana DeGarmo has suffered harassment from an Australian hacker/stalker, who has broken into her cel phone and her computer the past two years and sent her nasty emails and phone calls. The woman Tanya Maree Quattrocchi will stand trial for her actions.

Here’s an excerpt from the Herald Sun.

“I have moved twice and she still finds me. I cannot have any private or professional life without her infiltrating it,” Ms DeGarmo said in a statement.

“No matter what I do I cannot get away from her. She is still to this day stealing my online identity and harassing my friends, family and myself,” she said.

The court heard Ms Quattrocchi allegedly sent emails stating the singer wanted to have sex with her brother, loved older men and was a lesbian.

This woman needs to be kept away from all electronics! What a nut!

-David Cook previews his album for Rolling Stone

A preview of eight tracks suggests that listeners can expect radio-ready anthems like the sweeping, U2-esque “Come Back to Me,” some aggro rockers like “Bar Bi Sol” and plenty of the soaring voice that the AI judges loved.

-MJ got a cool tip showing a photo of Daughtry producer Howard Benson with Kelly Clarkson and Daughtry. Is a duet forthcoming?

kelly_daughtry.jpg

-And proving how nice those folks in Nashville can be, Kristy Lee Cook has been invited to perform at the Grand Ol’ Opry.

Twice the fun? It’s hard to tell which one is wax.

I feel sorry for Diana.

That’s Kelly Clarkson? Really?

Ha! Rodney, your non-joke about funny! They did give wax Carrie some nice legs…glad to see they pay attention to detail. ;) I’ve heard the Christmas songs and, as usual, she sounds great.

OOOH, Kelly (yes, JT, that’s her…minus makeup.) and Daughtry, eh? Interesting. But it’s a waiting game, I remember the rumor of Kelly and Carrie doing Can U Spare an Angel for Carnival Ride. (Didn’t happen…)

KLC at the Opry? Well, bless their hearts…ain’t they nice? They did invite Jessica Simpson to show off her pups, I mean, sing too. g

The real Carrie has the ugly shoes on..Man, I hate this trend!

Kelly Clarkson singing with Daughtry sounds like a win/win situation to me.

I hope they throw the book at Diana’s stalker.

Here’s a picture of Quattrocchi from court yesterday:

http://www.news.com.au/common/imagedata/0,,6314526,00.jpg

What is sad is she’s only charged with four specific incidents of hacking or stalking. There is stuff she’s been doing that is borderline evil but her location makes it more difficult to prove. Diana has basically been under seige for three years with the phone calls, the impersonation, the theft, the credit card fraud, the attempt to smear her as a “w**” or drug addict, the spying on her personal email and phone messages, and more. I sincerely hope Diana has a counselor to talk with who can monitor her for post traumatic stress. You would have to be a strong person to endure three solid years of harassment, with very little help from the authorities most of the time, while just trying to live your life and build your career.

I think the jokes on Rodney and his ilk who bashed the biggest star AI has ever produced during AI4 and pushed Bo. Carrie stole the show as Nigel said at the finale w/ a great Last Name performance but jabronis like Rodney pretend that the Carrie post AI is still the shy girl she was on idol. She’s grown as a performer and the haters cannot admit their mistaken evaluation of a true superstar.

Rutan, perhaps you’re mistaking another blog for this one. I cannot EVER remember ANYone on this blog disrespecting Carrie. She was always well appreciated, even tho perhaps AT THE TIME of her appearance on AI she was not everyone’s favorite. I happened at the time to prefer Bo, myself, but Carrie was always my favorite of the ladies. The only lady contestant i frankly like better is Melinda, but unfortunately she’s not blessed, as Carrie definitely is, with being “pretty”.

But again, I cannot remember EVER seeing any of the regular bloggers here disrespect Carrie’s talent. I can’t—and won’t—vouch for the weirdos who drop in once in a while to say stupid, mean, disrespectful, ugly, vapid, meaningless, yada yada, things. Generally THOSE people are only trying to stir up trouble of some sort anyway. And namecalling and rumor mongering about our blog host and regular bloggers is just as bad. Carrie herself has said she’s shy… so why shouldn’t Rodney, if indeed he ever DID say that. And frankly, the only “hater” mentality i see here appears to be YOURS against us for not being mimics of whatever your opinion happens to be. Rodney’s never bashed Carrie.

and I’ll close by saying that calling Rodney a “jabroni” is as hate-filled and mean-spirited as anything anyone has ever said here, and lest you think i don’t know how it’s used, think again.

Hey Rutan, you’re a little late to the AI4 discussion party, we finished up with that a few years back. Do try and catch up.

I understand why all the little know Idol contestants have rabid fans - and they need it, but does Carrie need it? Hasn’t she ecliped Idol itself by now, and moved beyond the need for blog trolls?

Good Morning!! HooWoo, we did it. We finally made it to Friday.

Any person that deliberately stalks another should be punished to the fullest extend of the law. In having said that, I hope this lady gets what she deserves.

At first glance it’s hard to tell which figure is the real Carrie. The artist did an amazing job of the wax Carrie. I don’t know how many of you have ever been to a wax museum, but the wax figures are phenomenal. I admire anyone who can create something amazing out of wax. They have a real talent.

Morning Nana! Hope your trip “south” was not too bad this morning! Over here, at least, the rain had pretty much stopped for the drive in… looking forward to tomorrow!

OK…time to crank up the ol’ productivity for the end of the week…see you guys later when i get a break!

peace @¿~

Good friday morning, y’all. Did anyone hear Michael Johns on B98.5 this morning. They talked about his birthday party, his upcoming cd (he said it is 3/4 finished, no first single picked, but mentioned the name of the cd - I don’t remember, and I was driving, so I couldn’t write it down), and they also talked about Paula. He is totally released from everything Idol, and said he was early on, like during the tour. That way he was able to get his own management and start working on his cd from the road! Good for him! He also said that he wants to move back to Atlanta - I know I would welcome him back!

That wax figure is amazing! And yes, they did do a great job on her legs. She is a very attractive woman, and they did her justice with this figure.

Rutan - maybe we should just call your Rude Man, because bashing Rodney was just uncalled for. I was a huge Bo fan during AI4, but I would never put down Carrie, that girl is TALENTED!!! And you know what, Rodney never did either. Why you gotta try to stir up trouble?

Anyhoo….happy friday! I hope everyone has some fun weekend plans! GO DAWGS!!!

MOrning, everyone. I hope to be able to participate a bit today before leaving here around 2 PM. I am headed for your neck of the woods, spending the weekend in Marietta, GA with my best friend. We are going to see Emile Pandolfi in concert at the Roswell Community Arts Center on Saturday. He is a friend from our high school who “made good” in his chosen field. I am definitely not looking forward to the trip in the driving rain that is predicted there and here. It will be I-20 all the way, so there should be plenty of places to stop, should the weather get too bad. Linny, I will wave to you as I pass the Madison exit!

Morning!

Harrietth…be careful on that drive!

It’s raining buckets here. My dogs are NOT happy. They don’t like being confined all day. My lawn, however….. :-)

D, I certainly will be careful. I don’t care if it takes me forever, I will stop if it gets too bad. No rain here yet, but I will have to drive right through it. It’s supposed to ease up a bit around sunset, according to the weather channel. I should be approaching I-285 around 6:30 or so. My target was 7 PM so as to miss most of the awful rush hour traffic.

linny, not in Griffin today. At the Norcross office doing some packing. It’s bad enough to have to pack your house when you move, but doing an office is ten times worse. I pick it up, look at it and decide to pack or trash. Guess which pile is larger? This is not fun at all. Only three more days left in Norcross and starting next Thursday, its on to Griffin daily. I too am looking forward to tomorrow.

harrietth, please drive careful on your way down. Look out for the crazies who love to drive fast in the rain.

Nana, I will be the little old lady driving in the right lane, hunched over the steering wheel, and going much slower than everyone else. I won’t slow down enough to cause problems, but am extra careful in the rain. I really wouldn’t come except for the fact that I’ve already bought tickets for Emile’s concert.

Lara, Kellyfan … not too long ago (a couple of hours at most) watched the UGA busses head out down the highway will full official escort to get them through the traffic. My office is on the outside west of town, so it’s sort of like watching a parade as the busses set out.
