Which summer movie do you want to see most?

Summer movies are just around the corner. “Iron Man” opens May 2 and “Speed Racer” follows on May 9.

Here are the summer movies I’m looking forward to seeing most:

1. “The Dark Knight” (July 18). Heath Ledger was a good actor. And in the trailers his Joker looks awesome.

2. “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” (May 22). I am nervous, however, that the action sequences might have too much CG.

3. “Hancock” (July 2). I like Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman. And if Will Smith is in a movie, I’m automatically there.

4. “Kung Fu Panda” (June 6). The trailer makes it look very funny. And the animation looks great.

5. “HB II” (July 11). After “Pan’s Labyrinth,” I became a huge fan of Guillermo del Toro and rediscovered “Hell Boy.”

Which summer movies are you anticipating? “Sex and the City” (May 30)? “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” (May 16)?

No contest, Indiana Jones. I heard Barbara Walters say that according to her contacts and media buzz, this is the most anticipated movie of the 21st century. LONG LIVE INDIANA JONES!

If you haven’t seen the trailer for The Dark Knight, look it up because THAT is the movie to see this summer.

The new Indy movie is NOWHERE on my radar.

The TOP of my list goes to Iron Man. I LOVE my Marvel movies, and this one looks to be their next franchise. The trailer is AWESOME!

Others on my list:

HBII. The first one was pretty cool, I’m looking to see how they pull off a sequel.

Dark Knight. The ending of Batman Begins sets this one up perfectly, and if they continue with the tones and visuals portrayed in Begins, this one should be just as good and possibly better. Plus, it will probably have a small cult following as one of Ledger’s final projects.

Narnia: Prince Caspian looks pretty cool, but I should probably watch Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe first.

The Incredible Hulk, out 6/13, deserves to be redeemed after the last (utterly pitiful) Hulk movie. So it goes on my list, just to see if they can do the character justice!

The Happening (also 6/13). Disaster flick. Enough said in my book (I’m a disaster flick buff), but it also has M. Night Shamalamadingdong on it, making it the first of his movies I would actually be interested in seeing.

I’ll put Wall-E, Hancock, and Tropic Thunder on the list, but wouldn’t be surprised if I see them On Demand rather than In Theater.

I’m even going to put a little known movie on my list: Swing Vote, with Kevin Costner.

Of course we’ll see IJ & KSC, but Ron Perlman rocks as Hellboy! I saw Pans Labyrinth because I saw Hellboy.

I’m looking forward to most of the movies posted above although I have no idea what Wall-E is. One movie I am looking forward to that has not been mentioned is Get Smart!

Prince Caspian for me. I read all the Chronicles of Narnia to my daughter. I love C.S. Lewis. If you have never read his short book, The Great Divorce, you need to do so. It gave me a whole new concept of Heaven and Hell.

Indiana Jones. Those of us who remember when they first came out with Raiders of the Lost Ark remember what little fanfare came with it.

Jeff, It’s apparent you are spending way to much time in your parents basement. Maybe you should consider, between the Dungeon & Dragon sessions that is, coming out into the daylight.

Ilene, I’d suggest you see the Internet Explorer for Dummies movie this summer. Either that or press the submit button once, hun.

Iilene demonstrates why I don’t like musicals: they lack taste and are repetitive.

As far as summer popcorn fare, I must admit Indy Jones IV is on my list. I too am a little reticent to go see it for fear of great disappointment. But I’ll take my chances with Indy.

I can’t wait to see Iron Man. I get a little giddy everytime I see the trailer.

I hope the movie is as good as the trailer.

Hey, Jonny — if you’re going to insult me, at least spell my name correctly.

And sorry, musicals rule. If you don’t like them, then you lack good taste and appreciation for art. Ever see any musicals from the ’30s and ’40s?

And Borat, stop insulting Obama with strange names. He has nothing to do with this Blog. You’re a dummy for saying anything — my computer froze! If you notice a multiple entry, just move on.

How come Smithee’s pic is a cartoon and the Bob guy’s is a real person? And Hellboy II does look cool.

Musicals — repetitive? Give me a break — how many shoot ‘em up, drive over rooftops, car chases, etc. can one see before they all become repetitive?

How many people actually know that “Mr Smithee” is a pseudonem for anyone that doesn’t want to be formally connected to a filmwork?

I plan to see “Wanted,” “The Dark Knight,” “Hancock,” “Step Brothers,” “Tropic Thunder,” “Chapter 27,” “Crystal Skull,” and “Pineapple Express.”

“Wanted” looks especially cool.

How many people actually know that “John” is a pseudonym for anyone that hires a prostitute? And to get a “Mr. Smithee” from a hooker usually costs about fifty bucks?
