Bea Arthur in ‘Sex and the City’ parody

Low-cholesterol alfredo? Megafiber in your Cosmos?

For TV Land, Emmy winner Bea Arthur plays a rather aged Carrie in “Sex in the City,” a 5-minute parody of “Sex and the City.”

Arthur, who in heavy makeup looks a bit like Bette Davis’ Baby Jane, is joined by Charlotte Rae, Katherine Helmond and Sally Struthers. They’re gal pals in search of a “Matlock” two-parter.

And wait till you see Mr. Big.

Enjoy!

Darling idea, especially as the real SATC “girls” get a little older themselves! Which brings me to a documentary I’ve been waiting to arrive on the local scene, “Hats Off!” centering on the extremely active and semi-famous lifestyle of 93 year old Mimi Weddell. Was expecting this to be at the Rgal-UA Tara beginning June 6th, but it seems to have been postponed. Can you get any info on when this little gem will come to town? Got my own group of gals who want to take this in and down a few Cosmos after! Thanks! Suzanne

Suzanne, ‘Hat’s Off’ was set for release here earlier but keeps getting moved. It was expected to open at the Tara on Friday. But we just got word it’s being bumped to June 27. I think we will all be able to believe it is opening once it actually does.
