Common
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Chi-town emcee Common exploded onto the Hot 107.9 stage Saturday night with a surprising ferocity. Although his catalog of songs aren’t as popular as mainstream rappers, they were more than enough to keep the crowd bouncing through the first three songs, which included the title track off his new album “Be.” Shortly after, the crowd went ballistic when Common’s fellow Chicago rapper Kanye West blessed the stage for a few tracks of his own, including “All Falls Down” and “Jesus Walks.” Together, the two made something that fits their “Good Music” campaign: a “Great Hip-Hop Show.

I knew his Music Midtown performance would be just as good as his Vibe performance and definetely better than his Fox performance. But his Vibe performance cannot be topped. The combination of Kanye, John Legend AND Common is the definition of “Good Music.”

Let me tell you. Saturday night was AMAZING! Common was on stage in one of the tightest outfits I’ve ever seen. Of course I sang every word to every song he performed. But let me tell you. I was in a state of shock when my favorite producer/rapper Kanye West came on stage. At first, I wasn’t even sure it was him, because I was just so surprised. But when I finally came to, I realized that the 75 dollars I paid was well worth it, as the performance was priceless. G.O.O.D. is the best label. PERIOD!!!
