‘I need a girlfriend,’ Ne-Yo tells audience
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The first of four nights of free Blender Sessions ended close to Friday morning at the Tabernacle. Recent Atlanta transplant Ne-Yo did a six-song set including his first No. 1 single as an artist (“So Sick”), a medley of hits he’s written for other acts (Beyoncé’s “Irreplaceable,” Mario’s “Let Me Love You,” Rihanna’s “Unfaithful”), and a few well-received selections from his May 1 sophomore CD, “Because of You.” Photos: Ne-Yo at the Tabernacle

“I need a girlfriend,” Ne-Yo announced before he and his four-piece band, and four dancers, performed “Sexy Love.” “Y’all know I just moved to the ATL right?” he said to the heavily female, near capacity crowd. “I’m official!”
Blender magazine’s Sessions ATL continue tonight at the same downtown venue with Atlanta rapper-actor T.I. Saturday “American Idol” rocker Daughtry is scheduled to appear, and Australian rock group Jet closes things out Sunday.
Free entry is offered on a first come, first served basis, with a ticket. And tickets are available by listening to various radio stations, including V-103, Q-100, Star 94 and 99X.
