10/2: Larry Wachs has a new job
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
This doesn’t like a full-blown, full-time job, but former Regular Guy Larry Wachs just told me he has worked out a deal to do some sort of online-only “Daily Show” satirical news show for the online division of Turner’s “Adult Swim.” It starts online October 12 and will be dubbed “What’s Your Story?” He said he’ll give me more details next week closer to the first air date.

Maybe Eric and Jimmy will interview him on their podcast. That would actually be pretty interesting.

Awesome writer my azz!! Everyone—and I mean everyone—in Atlanta radio knows that Larry stole almost every bit that became popular on TRG.
The title for his new “show” should be “Here’s some funny stuff that Opie and Anthony were doing yesterday.”

^^ Oh, Lordy (or is that Darky?) Only kidding. I don’t listen to Wachs and never have. I’m a HoW reader. Frequently, he’s got opinions that no one else has churned out. The Whoopi Goldberg post was freakin delightful. The guy can write… just sayin’.

If someone’s jealous of an online-only satirical news “show,” then their life must be unimaginably sad.

All I got to say is I hate what Clear Channel has done to Atlanta Radio Starting with getting rid of the Regular Guys show then getting rid of 96rock a legend in Atlanta Radio and combining the programming with newer rock to make room for another Hispanic station. Only to then realize that nobody liked the programming merger so they started throwing in more of the old programming. I hope that things have worked out for Clear Channel you know breaking up a legend for more Hispanic programming.

He does look like a penis though. But I guess a talking penis on TV is pretty cool…better than a caveman.
