3/31: Ludacris and Tommy Lee team up for reality show

ludaimage2mn9.jpg

Atlanta actor/rapper Chris “Ludacris” Bridges (right) has teamed up with Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee in a reality show called “Battleground Earth” (which has nothing to do with that John Travolta disaster “Battlefield Earth.”)

It will air this summer on Planet Green, a new network to replace Discovery Home in 50 million homes.

The concept, according to Variety magazine:

They will criss-cross the country competing in various challenges designed to highlight green issues. [The show] will culminate with the two artists converging in Los Angeles to co-headline a concert at the Greek Theater with proceeds benefiting Griffith Park.

“It’s big, bold entertainment that would fit in great” on cable networks such as VH1 or Bravo,” Planet Green president Eileen O’Neill told Daily Variety. If the concept works, they may bring in other celebrities for future seasons.

Does this sound like a good idea? Would you watch?

It sounds like reality show thinktanks have run out of ideas.

Luda has joined the sellouts like Tommy Lee.

An unbelievable melange of unrelated and ridiculous ideas. I’ll be surprised if it ever sees the light of day.

Certainly sounds ludacris! Sure it’s not surreality TV?

Why does every guy in hip hop (rap) have a nasty scowl on his face? I mean it is so stereotypical of trying to portray the black man as always angry.

I want to see Ludacris back on Law & Order. I would watch him any time he is a part of that series. Not so sure about the reality show.

This is the stupiest idea ever. Reality is, that we want to see rockstars living it up, partying out of control, taking big lavish trips and getting whatever they want, we don’t want to see them go green. This is ridiculous. Whoever thought this one up, should be fired!

I think it is great idea! They can reach group of people who would not otherwise think about the environment. People always complain about rappers being a bad influence, well here is an example of rappers and rock stars doing something positive.

You can use me to do the show? Oh…my bad, I have to be a celeb. I know there must be something I can do to express my love for PLanet Green. I think any positive thing is good, but I am sick of these Reality Shows with celebs that are already rich…did I say something wrong? Love my stars but not another RS. Call me -to get on stage and express the importance of our earth. “CELEBS ONLY” just venting my feelings. Ing
