5/9: Real Housewives coming to Atlanta?

There have been rumors galore that camera crews are floating around Atlanta for a possible spinoff of Bravo’s “Real Housewives” reality show. So far, the show has focused on rich women from Orange County and New York, with New Jersey forthcoming. Bravo’s publicists haven’t been terribly forthcoming though they say they do test out shows by shooting material that may or may not become an actual show.
R&B singer Monica is possibly one of the housewives, according to Mediatakeout.com..

-WSB-AM’s Neal Boortz is recovering from knee surgery and says he’s now “hopped up” on pain meds. Boortz joked that callers are wondering if they can help him get him more pills.

What are they going to do, show footage of all the “urban” women of the ATL.. Go to a Hawks game, P-diddy’s Justin’s, or anywhere in S. Dekalb… you got your show…

Or maybe they can take footage of the “suburban” soccer moms going to a Thrashers game, Bluepointe or Phipps plaza…..
Better yet why not show a mixture of Atlanta Housewives living and loving the city of Atlanta.

This has been debunked… Monica is appearing on a reality show on Peachtree TV.
Besides, if they filmed it in Atlanta it would be called “The Real Baby Mamas of ATL”… does the world really need to see that….

these women are far from housewives, when did using your ex husbands status as your own and being away from your children 90% of the time to floss with the alimony and child support checks constitute being a Real Housewife? More appropriate title would be Real Gold diggers of Atlanta! Get a life and a job!

I understand why people don’t want a cast of just one race- but really, Atlanta? Part of the Real Housewives appeal is the lifestyle- and I don’t know if that lifestyle exists in ATL- or maybe not to the extent of that in OC or NY. And really, the pictures of them i’ve seen, most of the women arn’t attractive. They should have stayed in NY and added some diversity to the cast. I won’t be tuning in for this one.

Caligirl, regardless how any of these women got their money (they ALL appear to have been or are married to men with money and have children) what businuess is it to you?
