10/3: T-Boz rumored to be on “Celebrity Apprentice”
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
With “The Apprentice” series on its last legs, Donald Trump gave it one last lifeline last season with something called “Celebrity Apprentice,” ultimately won by Piers Morgan over Trace Adkins. It wasn’t half bad watching Gene Simmons spout “wisdom” and Piers pointlessly battling with Omarosa.
Although NBC has not officially announced the cast for early next year, TMZ has a rumored list which includes Atlanta’s own Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins of TLC.
Watkins has done reality before, a UPN show in 2005 called “R U the Girl” which had women compete to be the “temporary” third member of TLC. The show did not do particularly well and was not renewed.
Here are some of the others, who would compete for charity, not to actually be Trump’s apprentice:
-R&B singer Brian McKnight
-actor and bizarro comic Tom Green
-Kim Kardashian’s sis Khloe
-wacky former NBA star Dennis Rodman. (I can’t imagine him and Tom Green working together without something awful happening!)
-plastic surgery victim Melissa Rivers and her mom Joan Rivers, who are known to have rather tart tongues.
-so-called comic Andrew Dice Clay (yes, the man who charged $100 a ticket a few months back at the Punchline) Watch the fireworks fly with him around!
-NFL player Herschel Walker (sorry, I accidentally typed in NBA earlier)
-Ice skating star Scott Hamilton
-Country legend Clint Black
-Playboy Playmate and “Baywatch” vet Brande Roderick
-“Monster Garage” host Jesse James, who is married to Sandra Bullock

Hershal Walker played football. I don’t recall him being in the NBA.

Rodney, remind me again which NBA team Herschel Walker played for? I knew he played football at UGA, for the USFL and for a couple of teams in the NFL like the Cowboys, Vikings and Eagles. Did he play for the Hawks while I wasn’t looking?

Jessie James beats down Tom Green by the 3rd episode for making a smarta$$ remark and wins over another non-funny comic in the finals.

Herschel played in the NBA? I’m sure he would’ve been better than some of the stiffs the Hawks have had over the years.

I can’t believe Tom Green is going to be on. I wonder if he’ll be pulling pranks to win.

Gotta love the rumor reports… this is all over the place. R U the Girl wasn’t “renewed” because it was a one time thing. And yea, the Herschel in the NBA thing… DO OVER!

It has been well documented on this blog that Rodney plays loose with the facts, and doesn’t employ spell-check. So it’s not surprising that he has probably the most well known FOOTBALL player in Georgia playing in the NBA.
Journalism really is dead, me thinks.
At least he’s not blogging about Project Runway today……

You guys suck. It’s a blog, not brain surgery. Calm down. Herschel knows what he played.

Chris, T-Boz had her best success in the pre- thug era. Give her a break. Plus, she’s very cute and her and her crew had some good songs.

Chris, T-Boz is her stage name. Her given name is Tionne. To associate her stage name to being a thug is ignorance at its best. I am sure numerous thugs have been arrested and the police report read “Chris …..” for their name. Stop! the small mind attacks ..

Since when did nicknames start being associated to thug? You are showing your ignorance. So, I guess Michael Jordan being called MJ makes him a thug too? It’s time to start the stereotypes and biasness and look at people as individuals. I agree with Girlie, I am willing to bet you that you go to any state penitentiary and look at the names of real thugs and the majority would have common everyday names like Mike and Chris.
