10/23: Real Housewives of Atlanta ratings double over two weeks, former Atlantan Alyson Hannigan is pregnant

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is becoming a hot commodity for Bravo.
Tuesday night’s episode drew 1.32 million and more than 1 million of them were in the key 18 to 49 year old demographic. That is up from 1.184 million last week and 656,000 in its debut. In other words, the show has seen its ratings double in two weeks!
Compared to anything on broadcast TV, 1.32 million is modest. But last week, from October 13 to October 19, the show aired 16 times and nearly 7.2 million people saw the show. That’s not half bad.
The show so far is doing better than “Real Housewives of New York,” which averaged 864K viewers through three episodes vs. 1.05 million for “Atlanta.” Season three of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” averaged 1.3 million viewer, concluding with 2.018 million in January.
The top overall show nationally was “CSI,” with 19.3 million. (The show ranked 14th locally with 278,000 viewers.)
In other ratings, the top cable show last week was the thrilling game 7 Sunday between the Red Sox and the Rays (who won.) The TBS telecast drew more than 13.35 million viewers. Locally, the game drew 209,000 viewers in Atlanta, ranking 28th for the week.
In Atlanta, the top show was the presidential debate, with 415,000 catching it on CNN and 297,000 more watching it on Fox News. WSB-TV had the most viewers among the broadcast networks with 287,000 viewers.

She’s married to “Buffy” alum Alexis Denisof.
TV Guide speculates whether the show will incorporate her pregnancy into her character’s story.
Asked to comment on Hannigan’s news and what it might mean for the Eriksens, series cocreator Carter Bays tells TVGuide.com, “We are thrilled for Alyson and Alexis, and we know that they are going to be amazing parents. It’s too early to say how this will impact the show going forward, although we may have to push the ‘Lily wins a gold medal in gymnastics’ storyline to next season.”
-Another former Atlantan David Hasselhoff is on a videogame in which people can “hassle The Hoff.” More details here.
In the irreverently comedic game, a player can take a virtual Hasselhoff - replete with a Knight Rider jump suit emblazoned with “The Hoff” on the back - though a series of collisions and pratfalls and score points for how much pain they can make the onetime German pop star endure.

I am surprisingly enjoying the Housewives. NeNe by far is the realist ne on the. Sheree is a little on the stuck up side, Deshawn seems quite lazy and her eyes are bigger than her pockets stretch, well Eric’s pockets and I thought Kim was supposed to be sharing “her” music to Dallas. What is she afraid of.

The housewives of Atlanta is great television. It gives you what is reality something thats not boring. Nene is out there but people like her exist. They dont represent the well to do women in Atlanta because there are women who live life differently. These women are just a few of our well to do. Kim does smoke to much on the show for me.

I watch the show every time it is featured on BravoTV. I heard that another station may pick it up?? Good, I’ll be tuning in even more. The entire cast of ladies is absolutely the greatest!
My favorite RHA is NeNe!!! She puts the REAL in real housewives. Every circle of girlfriends that sincerely love and respect one another, needs a NeNe in the circle. She will remind you to stay focused, strong and be true to yourself: all in the name of self love.
I enjoy the events of the other cast members. Lisa: a wise business women, Kim: energetic (she is the girlfriend that lead/get in some tight, but fun spots), Sheree: Ok she just knows what she wants and she knows how to get – - Go get it Sheree and DeShawn; very interesting – the verdict still out on her?
It’s all about good television entertainment and RHA delivers!! After all it is television…….

It’s like watching a trainwreck…I can’t keep myself from watching it. I think most people are laughing at them and not with them. Sheree looks like a man. NeNe is a mess! Lisa is a gold digger. Kim….please get a new hairstylist. Big Poppa will pay for it. Last but not least, DeShawn…OMG!! I just wish that she could learn to speak. I think if she were to open her mouth a bit she might be able to pronounce JEWELRY instead of JURY. She tries to act snobbish but can’t pull it off. A few diction classes should help. I’ll keep watching because it helps me feel better about myself!!! I’m not so bad after all compared to this group!

The AJC is shoving this burlesque show down our throats. I’ve never seen such glorified vulgarity. These women belong on the streets, not on TV. I’m embarassed to think people of the U.S. are looking at this circus and thinking it’s Atlanta.

Horrible! sad, this show is yet another poor representation of southern women. Poor role models to young girls everywhere, they have big hair, drive big cars, with no brains at all. The live off men with deep pockets whats with the big blonde who showed us her underwear in a photoshot and has a mystery rich boyfriend. Looks like these women are graduated strippers!!! The South expecially Atlanta has real women of class, with values, real husbands, are educated, traveled can carry on a meaningful conversation about anything. Too bad you cast all of us this way. to the haters - if u dont like the show - then stop watching it and stop posting on here…… go elsewhere like the obit section…Cuz that is where all the haters go..
anyway….This show is nice - I am seeing new spot to check out (murphy’s and pastry gem)…… The show is about rich folks …. and they are real people like everybody else…. just have more $$
Dont know why there were only 10 shows shot - hopefully that will change next season -”Would love to see a new housewive add to the show - Like Tina Ferrell or Regina Belle or Mrs. Vanessa Long

I enjoy the show it is definitely entertaining. I know for sure that money doesn’t necessarily means class. Lisa is my favorite, she handles her business while NeNe gives red weave a BAD name. Why hasn’t she paid somebody to tell her how she really looks. Kim is just out-right pitiful. DeShawn needs to be more vocal. Sheree is a DIVA to the bone.

I actually enjoying watching this train wreck. Sheree is definitely my fav. She is a Diva. She just needs to soften a bit before she finds herself alone and miserable late in life. Lisa appears to be business savvy but that couldn’t be further from the truth. She makes hasty decisions; it could have something to do with the bankruptcy filing last year. Girl, has to make that money. Kim is a gold digger but at least she is real about it. She doesn’t hesitate to admit that she is materialistic. You have to respect a woman that does that. Nene has some personal issues that a lot of normal people deal with and it appears that she has been through some “hard times” in life which is why she is so grounded. Last and least in my book, DeShawn. That chic is so darn lazy. She actually needs someone to help her get the kids ready for school??? And she has the learn to speak of church as if she is a “virtuous woman”. Get real. A woman of God knows her place as a wife, mother and executor of the home. She is a p** poor excuse for all of the above. What woman doesn’t see her home until it is fully complete without any of her own imput for furnishings. Just sad!
