11/12: “Real Housewives of Atlanta” episode #6 recap

Let’s call this episode “The One Where the Fashion Show Had No Fashion.”
While poor DeShawn Snow a couple episodes of ago had the Charity Event That Lost Money, this time Sheree Whitfield found herself introducing a fashion line where the fashion samples were so bad, she couldn’t actually hold the fashion show.
Sheree wants to be her own woman by creating her own fashion line She by Sheree. But the money clearly is coming from her ex husband and NFL player Bob Whitfield, something along the lines of $100,000. She has designs made and we see her talking with her “lifestyle consultant” or something like that. How do you get a job like that? She also hires a “body paint” specialist and picks a couple of hottie guys to be at her party where her “She by Sheree” name is emblazoned on them. Poor guys!
The day before the party, she finds fashion samples in plastic on her door. (Good question; why is she only getting her samples the day before?) She is upset by the clothing in plastic instead of garment bags. She is upset that the designer didn’t wait for Sheree and left it at her door. She is then upset by the quality of the designs that don’t look quite like what she had expected. She is upset that the designer doesn’t immediately answer the phone. She finally gets the designer on the phone and lectures her sternly about the crap she got. She decides not to show the samples at the party the next day.
So she has to tell guests she didn’t have the fashion line ready for the party itself. While we see nobody mocking her at the party, NeNe’s gay friend Dwight does so after the fact while getting a pedicure. “What’s a fashion show without fashion?” he says snidely. At least Bob shows up to be supportive (though his comments about her “finally” doing something was faint praise at best). In fact, this is the first time we really see Bob (besides the back of his head in the first episode.)
NeNe had quite an eventful hour, too. First off, her first Twisted Hearts Foundation to help victims of domestic abuse went off without a hitch, a luncheon where women wore big hats. She raised $19,200 and told an emotional story about her own problems with an abusive man.
At the end, we find out her paternity test. Is Curtis her daddy? Sadly, no, he is not. She is emotionally wrought, understandably so.
And Lisa finally had a real storyline or two. She and DeShawn tried to reconcile NeNe and Kim with a sunset barbecue at DeShawn’s place. Naturally, Kim and Sheree bag on the event without even calling. Kim’s excuse: she didn’t feel like going. Sheree’s excuse? Too busy. Kind of rude to not bother telling them in advance and making DeShawn, Lisa and NeNe sit around for a couple of hours waiting in vain. Naturally, NeNe isn’t surprised and says you “reap what you sow.”
In early May, Lisa also finds out her hubby Ed Hartwell gets a job with the Oakland Raiders. She wants him to retire and isn’t pleased to see him have to work so far away from Atlanta. (He ended up getting released in August, never getting to actually play a game.)
Next week in what is already the final episode of season one (and believe me, season two is coming thanks to good ratings): in what is still considered a network crossover promotion, Atlanta “Project Runway” alum Mykael Knight pops by and Kim and NeNe confront each other over past issues.
By the way, ratings for “Real Housewives” last Tuesday during the middle of the presidential election results took a hit. The show just broke 1 million viewers, down from 1.27 million the week before. But considering how many folks were watching CNN and ABC (the most popular networks of the night), that is surprisingly good. But the repeat lost far more viewers at 11 p.m. when Barack Obama’s victory was announced. “Real Housewives” at 11 p.m. drew 388K compared to 667K a week earlier.

The show was good Sheree is so arrogant and aggravating.She seems to be the one jealous of NeNe.Kim needs to invest in some high priced extensions because her wig is jacked up!

I will watch the show again. After watching the previews of the Orange County version, I think the difference between the two is you see the mothers/housewives more involved with their families and exhibit real issues. With the ATL version only NeNe appears to have real issues that are not camouflaged by money like the others.

Sheree should really quit trying to perpetrate being a snob, she’s got a horse face, and her husband is equally as unattractive. And she thinks she’s showing him she can survive, and thrive on her own, guess what you moron it’s still the man’s money, and without it who the hell would you be. As for Kim the no hit wonder, and never will be with that awful voice, to believe she even remotely believed she could sing is hilarious, I finally figured out that she thought Dallas was going to add bells and whistles to make her sound good, you have to have something to work with big hair trailer trash. NeNe, Lisa and DeShawn leave the trash alone you can’t bring it in your home it stinks.

I really enjoy the show. I personally like Ne-Ne and DeShawn. Ne-Ne keeps it real and DeShawn is very humble. After the last episode I watched when DeShawn celebrated her birthday with her husband and friends. Ne-Ne song was taken out context and repeated. I believe it was Lisa that told Sheeree and that was tacky. It was all done in innocent fun and should not have been repeated. Nonetheless, my daughter and I enjoy the show.

This show is true entertainment. I agree that NeNe is the only on who appears to have real issues and expresses any real feelings. I know NeNe has a mouth on her but you have to respect that she is the only one that is not frontin. The others are in front of the camera like…Oooh look at me, look at me…I’ve got money too; maybe not so much Lisa. It’s sad that Sheree feels she has so much to prove. She is not an ugly person but her attitude is just unbearable and makes her VERY unattractive!!

I have to admit that I do watch this crap, but it’s mostly because I’m continually amazed and entertained that these women act like they live in the real world! What average person spends $5,000 on a young girl’s birthday party, like Kim did for her daughter? That’s just ridiculous. That’s over and above spoiled. And Kim’s singing voice? WHAT singing voice? My cat ran out of the room and hid when she sang in the recording studio. Find another pasttime, Kim, ‘cause you’re no singer.

After seeing the show, I know for a fact that Dallas is a nice man. Kim sounded really bad. He was not mean about it, he just told her she wasn’t ready. But that shows you that, if you have a Big Papa in your life you can go into the studio also. Am I the only one that thinks Big Papa is married?

I enjoyed watching this season. Sheree, got a taste of her own medicine. She should know nothing good comes out her mouth or her doings. Lisa, I see “ice cracking” for her and Ed. Wow, I wasn’t expecting Ed to be dropped so soon. Then again, I never heard him before the show. I think he should have gotten someone that have not been through so much already and she wants things how she wants them at this age in her life. He is only 30 and I am sure he could have found someone a lot younger to support him and not only worry about herself. Lisa, is trying to hard not to go back and file bankruptcy again so I understand now why she said,”If it don’t make me money, I don’t do it.” Kim, oh my goodness you can start several places with her, but the fact that she started getting botox at 24 is disgusting and sad. Its funny she called Nene a “low budget bitch”. Nene is married and have been with her husband for is it ten years now. Kim, on the other hand is some man’s playtoy on the side. Clearly this man is involved with another woman or doesn’t want to be seen with this fool Kim. I hope she doesn’t think living in a townhome is “high class” in comparison to Nene’s home that she is living in with her HUSBAND. Kim, is trashy and she needs to save what little money she probably gets from “Poppa” because she doesn’t do anything but look stupid all day with that BIG, ugly hair of hers.
Last, but not least I think Deshawn means well, but some women are ignorant and its not even worth trying. Also, she needs to stop spending Eric’s money like that. He needs to tell her to be sensible and do something around the house instead of paying everyone else to do it. You can’t let oher people raise your children and you wonder why those little boys don’t respect her authority. I hope Eric have some other kind job lined up, because its not like he is a Michael Jordan with 100’s of millions in the bank.
Its funny, how Kim and Sheree looks scared when all of them are at the table and Nene is there as well. They talk all this s** when they are alone together but they have this stupid look on thir face now that Nene is there. Kim looks scary anyway … she only talks noise when she is not around the person she is talking about.

OMG! Sheree is a flaky woman with no clue in business.
Doesn’t she know you don’t throw a fashion show in 3 weeks - shoot this isn’t project runaway!
She needs to fire her staff - starting with her publicist and Holyfield’s daugther who is the most weakest link in her entourage. As an PA you supposed to have connections and your boss’ back 24/7!
Shoot, Sheree may be talent but she really lacks in business 101.
And she needs to quit tripping about being stress out - you aint planning a tea party -you ever heard of the expression you have one chance to make a good impression. Some impression!
Your best luck is to goto QVC and sell some clothes there first.
NeNe - You’re a soul survior. Where can I donate some $ to your organization?
Kim- I used to like you but you are an airhead and is sorry.
Lisa Wu - Always support your man no matter what! You got his back and he gots yours!

Bravo better do 20 shows next season and hire better editors because the editing was not good.

I am embarassed to say I live in Atlanta after seeing these trashy numbskulls cavort in front of the camera for the whole country to see. This might stop some people from moving here, but unfortunately,the garbage will still keep coming.

This is the worst representation of Atlanta that could be shown on national television. As an Atlantan I’m ashamed to be portrayed by these crazy women. These women are only a minute sample of what Atlanta has to offer. The rest of us, are down to earth, hard working, mothers, daughters and sisters who have to work for what we have, and not have some “Big Papa” just hand it over to us.

The women in this show is hillarious. Kim, what would she do if her Big Papa bale out on her? Only one of them is Church connected, These women is far from being a woman of God..I notice Sheree house was up for sale for 2.4 million, if Bob is selling the house, what will she do then, I don’t hink he will be taking care of her the way she is blowing money now. Deshawn I hope she is still with New Birth, but Lisa needs some Jesus in her life to stay successful, where is her other childrens by Keith Sweat, they are never mentioned by her and don’t seem to be missed by her. Her focus in on the baby she got now and that’s it……….

Correction on this article. DeShawn had the bbq not LISA! and we all knew that they would not show. KIM is the miserable one! She needs a life and possible get a 5th grader to help her spell KAT! CAT….how embarassing and you wear millions in diamonds. Are you sure they are diamonds?! Get a hairstylist and get a life. Raise your kids to earn what they want not give them everything DeShawn is an airhead! and you should never show your tithes on TV Hopefully Eric is saving that money because its gonna rain one day and will they have an umbrella? My wife got me watching this show, this weekend (the tivo’d episodes and the latest episode last night) My take on the women:
Deshawn — She seems to be getting a pass on here but geez this woman is messy and a shining example of what’s wrong with “elite” society in Atlanta. The schene on last night’s epsiode where she said she doesnt know what she would do if Eric’s “contract wasn’t guaranteed” pretty much sums up her shallow character. If it wasn’t guaranteed then perhaps you would get a job. Exhibiting some thankfulness and an ounce of faith that you pretend to have so much of would help. I wonder if she teaches the girls that in her foundation.
Lisa — She is the ultimate hustler and seems to have a pleasant spirit. She defines charisma as evidenced by the number of friends she has. She appears to be a selfless person and will do for others.
Sheree — Most real men like a woman with a little edge ot her. However, the confidence is typically quiet confidence that only whispers. When you have to yell at the top of your lungs that you are beautiful and confident, typically you are not. Perhaps she is still wounded from the pending divorce with Bob, which is understandable.
Kim — Is she a houseWIFE by definition? Am I the only one thinking that Big Poppa is Jazzy Phae? Hopefully she’s putting money away and saving all of her receipts. She appears to lead a very empty lifestyle. Her passion definitely isn’t singing based on her unwillingness to work on her craft

OMG…NeNe, Gregg, her boys, and gay boyfriend, Dwight, are the show…I love them! NeNe your marriage is solid. Your boys are adorable, loving and respectful. Gregg, someday I hope to have a husband that loves me like you love NeNe — unconditionally. When NeNe got the results of the DNA test, Gregg, your soul was on display you said, “it doesn’t matter NeNe has all of us”. NeNe — don’t you ever let this man go. NeNe, your foundation was a success do to good planning and realistic goals. I applaud you for speaking out and helping those in a horrible situation. I would love to have you as my friend. Kim is such Sheree’s “friend”, and they so “support” each other, but Kim went away with Big Poppa instead of attending her best friend’s “event”. How supportive is that? She bailed on her while Sheree was ranting and raving about her samples also. This really shows that there really isn’t a friendship at all. A real friend would have planned her get-a-way so as not to miss her friend’s first “fashion show”.

At first people really didn’t like Ne Ne, I told them they need to get to know her before they judge. I admired her from day one of the show. Last night Ne Ne put the icy on the cake. Her life is so much like mines. I was a woman just like her, married to a man that had a good job and treated me like dirt.(phyical, verbal & mental abuse) A lot was stolen from me. I can relate to her. She’s a real sister. She had to gain back what was taken from her. She has a nice husband and treats her well and loves her. I too have found the same, he treats me like a woman should be treated and I treat him like a King. NeNe has a heart and she not what she’s been through so no one monkey stops her shop. NeNe keep your head up and live your life.

Trash! sorry guys; without someone on her hip she is a nobody. RAISE your kids and maybe you would know how to spell…. Lisa will survive she is recovering from all the past drama. Life is hard and we all make mistakes DeShawn I need to council you. I was a single mother, going to school full time, working full time and starting another business (successfully)full time, and I had to cook, clean, wash, run errands and take my children to activities and etc. If I had money I WOULD not hire all those people to do what GOD intended for me to do. Stop saying you knew you were destined to be somebody. Without Erics money you are nobody (but somebody to Christ Jesus) YIKES…….

Machell you were not the only viewer that picked up on the “black” put down. Kim is trash nothing more she needs to be left alone. I didn’t understand why Sheree didn’t view her seamstresses work prior to hiring her and didn’t leave some time in between in case of a do over she missed a vital preparation point - life coach??? Lisa I am sorry for the most part I like her and I appreciate that she doesn’t go over board on most things but, she’s a gold digger and her husband needs to leave girl things to girl things and detach from her hip a little bit. DeShawn I do believe means well and needs something to do - focus on family DeShawn you’ll eventually find your purpose. Kim please plan for your future. Nene I love you the most - sis please don’t be so loud and watch previous episodes and view your drinking pattern - take your drinking down a notch or two and work on how loud you come across other than that I think you are great and you have a wonderful marriage! As a side note let me say I know we are only view a glimpse of their lives so please accept this as my opinion and not judgement - just doing a little fruit inspection - I wish all these women peace

Honestly, I think Lisa is the best housewife. She is actually bringing something to the table. Deshawn, Kim, and Sheree are all about money and dont have a pot to p** in that they own. Kim is kept, sheree’s ex takes care of things, and Deshawn plays the christian role but will spend all the money if eric dont stops her. Now NeNe may be Ghetto , but she is real. She keeps it funky. I like that.

I hate to admit but I am loving this show!! It’s actually sad that some of these women are not actresses and this is how they really act!!
I think I am most irritated with DeShawn. She mentions in the beginning that she knew she would be someone! HONEY you MARRIED somebody with some money and if he doesn’t get control of your spending you all will be the next MC Hammer!!
Also, i’m from chicago but can someone please tell me if weaves are the range in ATL? I think DeShawn and Kim really need to take about 2 bags of hair off their heads and they would look 900 times better!!!

I love NeNe! She has a heart of gold and who are we to say she isn’t elite? She posesses more character than any of the others on the show. I love Dwight Eubanks, NeNe’s gay husband…hope we see more of him. I love Gregg and NeNe’s relationship and the time we see her spend with her children seems to be genuine. Sheree and Kim are low budget. Class is not acquired and beauty is definitely in the eyes of the beholder! DeShawn…I think she should just be herself…she is trying too hard. She seems sweet enough though. Lisa…telling Sheree about NeNe’s song was so sixth grade…It’s mindless tv that we could all enjoy from time to time

I’m ashamed to say I watch this show, but it’s like turning away from a car wreck on I-85. It’s just impossible not to watch. It’s like a soap opera on crack, but these women actually exist. These ladies are only strengthening the sterotype that most people in the South are unintelligent, trashy, redneck, unrefined and low-class. When you have to brag about what everything costs in your expensive world, it is very unattractive, conceited and sad. People with real class and dignity don’t brag about how much they spend on things. Women like this do actually exist, and I see them almost daily in the same area that the cast of this show live. But, this show does not truly represent what “Real Ladies” of the South or Atlanta are. It’s actually pretty embarassing to have our fair city portrayed in this manner.
Lisa & Ed- I like. They seem grounded and hardworking with proper priorities. Lisa is the only one of the ladies who appears to actually work.
DeShawn- means well and seems nice, but she’s lost touch with reality. She also seems a bit pretentious and arrogant. She said she’s always known since was a little girl that she would be someone important. What has she done other than marry an athlete?
NeNe- is a trip.
Sheree- straight up arrogant Biatch who thinks she’s more than she really is. She is not the “Elite Atlanta Socialite” she proclaims to be. Can’t wait to see that clothing line? Bob began to bore her warranting a divorce, but his money hasn’t. And, how could she tell Kim with a straight face that she could sing?
Kim-I saved the best for last. She may drive a Porsche or Escalade, but she’s trailer trash with the brain of a Shih Tzu. Obviously, she’s a kept woman/misstress who couldn’t do anything else to support herself. She acts like she’s all that, but what will she do when Big Poppa trades her in for another model when she gets too old. And just DAMN, at what point did she think she could sing. My dog sounds better when he’s howling at the fire trucks siren as it passes the house. All Kim has is her body and looks. How long will that last?

Yes Machell - I caught the chicken comment Kim made. Why worry about what that dumb girl has to say? Coming from Kim, it’s like “whatever man” and just let it roll off your back like Obama did that time.
I do agree that she should be put on blast for making a racist comment. She might not even know it was racist with her stupid behind so I forgive the crazy heffa.

It’s sad to see that the Housewives of the ATL are so Ghetto. They spend most of their time on the show trashing each other, which clearly shows that they have low self esteem. This concept is proof that having money does not give you class, but I do feel that Bravo could have done a better production job here in the ATL. It looks like the episodes were just thrown together. I hope that the ladies really watch to see how badly they are being protrayed, maybe they will act better next season.

I enjoy watching the show but feel like some of the other comments that NeNe is the only real truthful person on that show. Kim I have no ideal why she is there except they needed a white girl in the mix. But her botox treatment looks bad and all she is,is a w** dating a married man that is probably much other than her which gives her the perks. What message does that send that if you screw the right person you can get lavish gifts? As women we already know that. Lisa puts on a act and she is rather boring to look at. Why aren’t her other children being shown on that right,ask Keith Sweat. DeShawn needs to work out and stop pretending, she did not even have the clout to put on a fundraiser. Sheree lacks personality. Lucky she has her ex money. She thinks she is all that and she isn’t. She lacks class with the attitude. I wish the producers would get real everyday people and not that glamour that only exist for a few. Keep it real. Show women coming from nothing and making it and their struggle to keep it going. That inspires people. Not women that have screwed to get to the top. They just happen to pick the right **. Other than that they lack substance.

This show is absolute trash! I mean just god awful!! All these women do is spend their husbands (or ex-husbands) money and don’t really contribute anything positive to society. I would say that Kim needs to try and pose for Playboy to contribute something worthwhile but I DOUBT they would make her an offer. As for the other women, get a real job!! Oh, and to the people commenting on the “eating chicken” response, why does it always have to be about race??? First, if your going to make comments you need to learn how to spell correctly as well as use proper grammer! Second, this show is just so terrible to even get upset and have an opinion about it!! I am a BIG Fan of all of the seasons of The Real Housewives from Orange County to Atlanta. I will admit that the current ladies have been the most interesting. Has anyone noticed the limited interaction between Kim and Lisa? What’s the deal with that? Yes, they were at the lingerie shop together but one on one interaction was limited on camera. I think the truth about this will surface soon. Yes. I too picked up on the chicken comment. Kim, the truth is surfacing more and more with every word you say and misspell. God’s speed Ladies!!

It appears Lisa is a go-getter, however, like she said “if it doesn’t make me money, I don’t do it”, that goes for a man as well, she will only entertain the thought of a man with money, which is perfectly ok, because why would you want anyone that doesn’t have anything, we all are with whomever we’re with for some reason, money is as good of a reason as any! DeShawn is really clueless, she seems sweet but she lacks common sense and her husband knows it but he just supports her and lets her make her mistakes hoping she’ll learn something from it! Sheree has a nasty disposition which is very unattrative, she really doesn’t have anything to offer anyone from the impression she is giving, I wouldnt’ want her as a friend and if I were a man I definately wound’t want her as a wife, most people like kind, happy and sincere people, she does not display any of those attributes, and I too hope she gets only enough money to take care of the kids because she is able to work and take care of herself. Kim is a househo, not a housewife, not sure why she was chosen to be on a show entitled “The Real House Wifes”, what kind of sense does that make! Nene does keep it real, however, there is a way to present yourself in public, I’m guessing she really doesn’t know any better in that area, like my pastor use to say “if you knew better, you’d do better” now she did know better when she picked a husband, that was a very smart move on her part, she has a good man that loves her and is taking care of her and the kids, I am impressed with that decision, so I guess it doesn’t matter how ghetto she appears to be, she still had the good sense to want to live a good life and is doing just that!!!!!! I just hope all of these women with the exception of Lisa who is making her own money, is investing or saving some of this money so if things do change they will still be able to live the lifestyle that they are accoustomed too and that their children are accoustomed too, just because you have money doesn’t mean you should blow it or swander it away, save some for the unknown circumstances that may arise, a lot of people say “I may not be here tomorrow I live for today” and this is true you may not live another day, but if you do, then what? I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it!

DeShawn - Your heart is in the right place, but after two attempts at getting Kim and SheRee to grow up and bury the hatchet, it’s time to treat them like the children they are and walk away and let them fuss. Once they realize that people don’t care about their fussing, they’ll quiet down. Kim and Sheree aren’t worth the effort.

I do watch the show Real Housewives of Atlanta, and I enjoy the entertainment factor of the show and watching some of those woman make fools of themselves. When this first episode came on, I was humiliated to have this type of representation of Atlanta on the television. Sheree said that she was a Georgia Peach, and she is FAR from being a Georgia Peach. A Georgia Peach would not be so caddy, mean, hateful, and all about herself! These woman give woman here in Atlanta a bad rep and make ALL woman here in Atlanta look like a bunch of Gold Diggers! Come on ladies, show some southern hospitality and stop saying me, me, me, me, me and telling everyone how much money you have! I feel that the only good housewife on this show is Lisa. She is down to earth, courteous, hospitable, friendly, and not flashing her money everywhere! One more thing, I have to agree with an earlier post about Kim’s Big Pappa. I think that Big Pappa is married, or else he would not be kept a secret from everyone. Maybe she found him on SugarDaddy.com. Any man whom is with a woman and claims that he loves her, should be proud to be with her and support her, and not hide from the public. Plus, why is she wearing a big diamond on her engagement ring hand, when she isn’t engaged or married? It is just sad to me that these woman cannot see how selfish, snobby, and money hungry they are portraying themselves to be, and what a horrible image they are giving of woman in Atlanta.

She was a true friend to Kim and she just could not except the truth and in the end you need some one to be real with you. But Nene there is a time and place for everthing. Kim what you should do is apologize to Nene for the way you dismissed her, it wasn’t right and you know it. Lisa and Ed I like the love you have for each other. Let me say the only reason I watched this show was to see how we in Atlanta are being portrayed. This show is an embarrassment to those of us that live in the metro area. Funny that only one of the so called housewives actually lives in Atlanta.
To Ms. Hartwell: Please extradite yourself from this debaucle of a show. You appear to be the only one that has any class and dignity; good luck to you and your company.
To Ms. Snow: You are no better than anyone else, so put down the airs of being a part of “elite” society. You are a woman who was lucking enough to marry a man that plays basketball and makes big bucks. You appear to have a good heart and need to use that and remember where you came from. By the way, learn to pronounce the words JEWELRY and WITH correctly.
As for Sheree and Kim, this is my take. Ms. Sheree knows how to spend money. She has a failed store to her credit and it looks like a failed clothing line is next; she excellent at spending her husband’s money. Bob needs to cut his losses and move on. I wonder how long the settlement funds will last at this rate?
As for Kim, well, lets just say we all know she’s a kept woman and her Big Poppa is probably married. Bet she was a stripper; interesting that she didn’t teach the pole dancing and wasn’t even there for that event. By the way, what’s with the wine in the car? You certainly are no housewife and there’s another word that’s more appropriate for you. Grow up sweetheart and learn to cover yourself, especially around the kids.

It’s not suprising that ratings took a hit last week. After the election, many people were celebrating and/or calling friends and family or commisserating on their candidate’s loss. Real Housewives was not on most folks’ minds.
While I enjoy the show for its train wreck quality, it would be nice to see more of Atlanta and real Atlantans.

Michelle, if you think people marry just for looks then you have a real issue. NeNe’s husband admires her as well as loves her and treats her with much respect. Lisa’s hubby worships the ground she walks on and so does DeShawns. What more could a woman ask for, plus they have money to boot. Speaking from last night’s episode, Sheree’s hubby was not like that. Other than money and status, it was very obvious that there was no love there, especially his comment “at least she’s doing something now”! What a low blow, maybe that’s why her a$$ is so mean-spirited. Kim, no comment on her, except I hope she get’s her a$$ kicked by NeNe next week, talking about if she speaks to her she’ll beat her down, girl please!
Did anyone else notice that Sheree’s carpet was torn and she had a throw rug over it? It was during the scene when she was sitting in her bedroom complaining and her friend was standing in the doorway near the torn carpet. Still LMAO @ that blunder.

I believe that Quincy Jones is Big Poppa. He is the only one that could get Dallas Austin to work with Ms. Wiggy! I’ve been wondering if Sheree’ got her seven figure payout. This episode was pretty good. Deshawn is catching heck though. Everytime she plans an event or activity, it fails. Kim and Sheree could’ve called to say that they couldn’t make it. That was rude.
I don’t know about Sheree’s clothing line, but her taste in the male physique has gotten better since Bob (thank goodness). I see she picked “Luscious” at the model call.
Maybe for the season finale they’ll reveal who Big Poppa is. We know it is not Biggie Smalls. Maybe it’s the dude that owns the Bunny Ranch. You’re not fooling anybody with what you really do Kim. lol

I agree with the post about Kim’s reference to eating chicken. I can’t find the posting about Obama but how dare anyone compare the housewives to the election of Barack Obama. This is an event 400 years in the making. Regardless of your politics, there’s a thing called respect. Fall in line; you live in America. The republicans had a nice, long run and now it’s over. It’s how politics work. Back to the show….Sheree should have planned better. How are you going to throw a fashion show without giving yourself enough time to look at the product before the show. Just because you have money doesn’t mean you have good business sense.

My wife was watching this show again and typically I’m a fan of a lot of the Bravo shows such as Top Chef, Top Design, Tim Gunn, etc. but I feel so embarrassed for Atlantans (although I am a transplant) that these five women have been chosen to represent the city. First of all, as a city dweller, the women do not live in Atlanta. No offense, Alpharetta does not count as Atlanta. Second, there is not one redeeming quality in any of these women other than the ability to behave like a bunch of mean high-school girls with sad lives. NeNe is the one that has incensed me the most due to the fact that she is only starting her charity for abused women to increase her profile in the world. My wife was victim of domestic abuse and she was definitely disgusted by NeNe’s behavior. If she was so traumatized by her abuse, then she would have put more thought in her work. Anyone who considers these women role models for themselves or their children should do a serious reality check as it shows how narrow-minded and materialistic they truly are. Third, if you’re going to work with Dallas Austin, a true professional in the music scene, you better listen to his advice. They size of your home, the amount of money you have, and the amount of surgery you use to maintain your looks does not make you even close to an expert on every topic. The worst singing I’ve heard in my life. What a waste of chance to put a quality show in a decent time slot. Thank goodness Top Chef returns tonight to showcase people (who may be jerks themselves sometimes) with actual talent.

Why are you people frontin? How can you get on any of the “housewives” for not working? If you were married to a pro baller with millions of dollars, you wouldn’t work either! Be honest! You would do the same thing they are doing: use your free time to shop and start a “foundation” for something you are passionate about! And please, stop knocking DeShawn for having a maid, cook, etc. You would too if your hubby was an NBA player! NOBODY would work everyday and then come home to cook and clean if they didn’t have to! Have you seen the size of the Snow house? Please stop the lies! You wouldn’t lift one finger to clean that massive place! “I’m a single mom who worked 3 jobs while cooking, cleaning, walking the dog, running my kids to various activities, tap dancing, and saving the earth from an alien invasion from the planet Mars!” PU-LEEEASE! Kim is nothing more than a prostitute and she’s raising her girls to be nothing less. She calls some man (I’m guessing he’s black - sorry, but we still live in the South and it still raises eyebrows)and then in front of her girls buys a vehicle she cannot afford on her own. What message does that send to her girls?? She smokes around them - ever heard of second hand smoke???
I feel so sorry for the kids of these women - having to go to school and have other kids with responsible parents laugh at them because their parents are so shallow and misguided.
I am a transplant to GA - my mother was raised in Moultrie GA and we visited there often and my parents moved to Lawrenceville in 1987. A lot has changed since 1987, but trash is still trash and these women need to learn some propriety, decorum, and most of all manners. Why don’t you use your ‘class and money’ to take some etiquette lessons and learn how to hold a folk when you cut your meat, or how to introduce someone to your mother? These women (not ladies) are not the REAL housewives of Atlanta - they are nothing but kept women. My manners, propriety, decorum, and upbringing keep me from using the word that would best describe these women’s true profession.

I also caught the comment by Kim and that was definitely uncalled for. Kim can’t sing if it was paid for by Big Poppa. Now my opinion of each of these women.
Sheree: NO CLASS at all. For her to throw a fashion party without the fashion, now that is funny. She condemns NeNe for talking about her and Kim, yet she and Kim do the same about NeNe.
Kim: She is a kept woman, who is a friend to her daughters. Can’t sing or spell. That hair, what can you say about it, HELP!!!! Big Poppa needs to buy her some clothes.
Lisa: She is one who has made something of herself and you can tell she loves Ed and he loves her. I don’t think she wasn’t supported of him trying out, it was he wouldn’t be there for her and their little boy during the season. They have a business together so him being away would have left her to run it.
NeNe: She is real as real can be. Her sons are respectful of her and love her. What can you say about Gregg? Very supportive of her even after it was reveal Curtis wasn’t her father. She got lucky when she found him. Her foundation was founded based on what she went through and what she is seeing a friend go through now and she set a realistic goal, which she basically achieve. Gregg was supportive of it. Sheree and Kim need to get a life because NeNe does have a life and goals. Definitely like NeNe.
DeShawn: She has become NeNe’s friend, she is a bit over the top but that is her personality. She is trying to make peace as is Lisa. Even after Sheree and Kim stood her up at the BBQ at her house, DeShawn didn’t get upset, that showed class on her part. Maybe their actions will open DeShawn and Lisa’s eyes to what these two low life and classless bitches are really about.
Having been to Atlanta numerous times, I have enjoy my time there and have run into the good and the bad in people so for those living in Atlanta, your city is far from perfect. I will come back because I love your city for what it is, not because of what type of people live there.

Ok, I tuned into the presidential election last week but I think that demonstrates that the Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers are indeed discerning citizens that engage in the events and process of our great nation. 1stly, I REALLY LIKE NeNe’s friend DWAYNE!!. He would be interesting to talk/hear without the cameras rolling!!
I also like NeNe’s foundation and happy for the success she had. I’m mostly captivated by all of the splendor and glory with the big hats. So regal, so stately and ladylike. Congratz on the funds you raised. Stay true to the cause. It means more than the money in one’s pocket to see a women who has risen (or can rise) from the ashes and forge on emotionally, mentally, spiritually and yes flawlessly beautiful in the process, like you Well done.
Also, NeNe sorry for the outcome of the DNA test. My life/story is verbatim, but I choose not to ever know conclusively. Although my alleged bio-father is willing to take a DNA – only if I want. I live in Indianapolis, and have family in ATL, so I visit frequently. I find myself liking the show, and I’m not one to watch these kind of shows, generally. I find it entertaining. I don’t find myself envying them or hating them. We’ll all living our lives the way that we see fit, and others may not agree with it, but they don’t need to anyway! Let’s face it, most of us leave pretty “routine” or often “boring” lives with work, kids, school,church etc. These women DO live a “different” kind of life than most of us! They don’t have to “concern” themselves for the most part with paying the mortgage, and utility bills, or dealing with paying for the children’s education. They have husbands who’s career lets them have “luxuries” that most of us will never have, if we wanted to have them. It’s “entertainment”! We probably should all remember that—that’s why it’s on tv. So, sit back, laugh and enjoy the show!

I don’t believe that Big Poppa is Quincy Jones as Quincy is usually seen in public and in photos with the women that he dates. I think its the person someone else mentioned before named Lee Najar.
Sheree says she was popular in high school but maybe that popularity stemmed from the fact that she got pregnant and had a child when she was 15 years old, a daughter she tries to pass off as a friend, who is now 23.

This show reminds me of how wonderful my life is..single mom, working full time, daughter in college, both of us independent women. Kim is nothing more than a prostitute and she is raising her girls to be nothing less. She is not a housewife - she is a kept woman. Why any man would pay to keep this person in bad hair, bad makeup, and bad clothes is beyond me. She buys a vehicle she can’t afford with her girls along with her to make it look like a family outing??? Her pimp bought it for her - just say what it is. Regarding Wowzer’s comment about Kim - NO, you are not the only person in the AtL who thinks Kim is seeing Jazzy Pha. As for another commenter’s question as to why Lisa’s other kids aren’t on the show - the word is that Keith (who has custody) will not allow them to be. As for the show itself - It is amazing and this is my opinion but I would believe that 4 out of the 5 women in this series look down their noses and what they would consider to be the “non-elite women” of ATL society and yet 3 of them (Lisa, Kim and Sheree) sit around and act worse than any “hood rat” I’ve ever been around. I think Lisa, while she’s on her game business wise - seems to still be an instigator. Sheree and Kim - they both only live the life they have because of the money they get from MEN!!!!! Sheree talked about how she wants a “big divorce settlement”. To do what? Continue to sit on your behind and pretend you are something that you really aren’t? Class cannot be bought - no matter how much money you have. If you take a pig, give it a bath and put pearls around it’s neck - it’s still just a PIG!!!! Don’t always make everything racial. I had no clue that people would take it as a racial slur…wouldn’t it be ‘eating crow’? And, with editing, it could have been completly different to get everyone worked up.

They might live in a gated neighborhood, but that doesn’t mean crap. You can buy something like that for $400K - $600K OTP…and get a huge house, but yours still OTP. Try to buy a house like that here in the city. They don’t live ITP because they can’t afford to. When they buy a penthouse in Buckhead or Midtown, or a house in Ansley, Morningside or on Mt. Paran around that size, then you are talking wealthy and elite…those are the ones I would like to see more about.
I don’t have a weave and I’ve had extentions only once in my life and I know I spent a lot of money on them. However, if you have all of that money, couldn’t you find someone to give you something that looks like a cheap wig you get at the Mall?
Come on…we’re in Atlanta. We all know that Dwight adds the flavor we need on the show. If you want to show the true housewives, then get you some kept gay men on the show.

I watched a “complete episode” of this show for the first time last night. It was like a train wreck. I wanted to look away but I couldn’t. NeNe is a mess but at least her heart is in the right place. She set a realistic goal and accomplished it. I like her husband for being so supportive but please keep him away from that purple hat.
Kim is sad but I know living in that condo beat living in that trailer! Big Poppa is obviously very married and very bored. Kim should be happy the housewives stomach her because she couldn’t show her face among Buckhead elite! At least NeNe’s husband respected her enough to marry her! Sad to say but Dallas Austin could have taken a walk around Atlantic Station — accidently tripped and fallen over somebody — and he would have still met somebody more talented than Kim. I have a question though. Can a person be taught to sing who is tone deaf? Austin is a good actor too. His having kept a straight face while in the studio deserved an award of some sort.
DeShawn, its finally out and thanks for letting the world know! The majority of people on your “A List?” at your party are nothing but a bunch of pretenders. I recognized a few faces. Most live beyond their means and those pretty cars they drive are leased — so NO — they are not in a position to help you raise a million dollars! Where did you think you were — New York? The show is a trip. I like Lisa, despite what some say she is not a gold digger, she works and have a jewelry line and is not sitting home waiting on NFL checks. Most of the girls (not ladies) only have money because their hisbands or exes are pro footbal players. They definitely don’t have much common or business sense. There are MANY other ladies in the Atlanta area that are wealthy housewives who are real professionals, who have smarts, and can put Atlanta in a much better light than these smack talking idiots. As someone who worked in Atlanta off and on for a few years, I have met a number of Atlanta professionals who were more focused on what I did or what I drove than who I was as a person. This was the biggest reason I opted not to live in the ATL. ATL tends to be very clickish and to a large extent, has a big crab mindset (where some folks refuse to see other folks get ahead - its sad but true). I don’t mean to generalize but I saw this alot. And whats up with the sisters not saying hi when you speak? OMG, sistahs in Atlanta are always trying to outdo each other. No thanks - I am so glad I left that nonsense.
This show is definitely entertaining - I just saw the marathon a few weekends ago and got hooked immediately. I think the draw is just the disbelief of how vain, immature, low down, messy, petty, disingeniuous money makes certain people. There is not doubt that if you take money out of the equation from this group, no one would acknowledge the other. Money is the center of their world and those that have it, are in, and those without money are non-factors.
NeNe cracks me up but my feeling is that she is being herself. She has a very stable family life and she is blessed to have a supportive husband. I personally think she dresses nice more times than not - did you see her hat and dress combo at her brunch - I would rock that! Her dress to Sheree’s party was cute too!
DeShawn is “nice-fake”. SHe is hung up on being Eric’s wife. No excuse for not wanting to take more responsibility in caring for your boys when you don’t have a full time job. I think she is sweet but she wants to be in the click but can’t recognize that these women, outside of NeNe, really don’t care for her as a friend. It was unacceptable to see her “friends” leave her hanging at her auction. Even if they turned around and gave their auction purchases away, support your sister and bid - buy something for the cause. Kim at least did this and NeNe offered her time. It was a shame, a true shame to watch.
Kim and Sheree in complete denial. Sheree is not a success without her man’s money - period. To put folks down and raise yourself up only means one thing - a fall is bound to happen, sooner than later. I feel sorry for her because she is clueless. Kim - no comment. She will see what she has become when she sees her girls begin living like her. She is in for a rude self-awakening.
Lisa - I like her professionalism, business hustle and I like her support of her husband. I think she owes NeNe and Sheree/Kim an apology for starting a mess (whether intentionally or unintentionally). I think she is an impressive professional who handles her business and seems a little more level headed than not. Also, a recent interview showed that she complained to the producers that her other children were edited out, something she did NOT approve of. So she isn’t hiding her children - the show chose to edit them out.

I love this show no matter how annoying these women can be. I don’t think they are any more foolish than the other women in the Housewives franchise. With the exception of color they spend money at the drop of a husband’s (or ex husband) dime, blam around town in various hot cars, start their own businesses and foundations with the guise of doing somtehing meaningful just like all the others and I love it! I find these housewives waaaaaaay more entertaining and actually ‘real’. If you look deep you can see they all have issues that aren’t necessarily being addressed except for Ne-Ne. Yeah she keeps taking this rivarly to a new level every week but she’s just saying out loud what all the others never say to each other’s face like Lisa “claims” she does. is that so Lisa? Then how come you commented behind the scene how Deshawan was pushing it trying to raise a million dollars?

Barnsley Gardens isn’t what I would call a five star establishment. Nor would I call Lake Lanier a high society boating destination. These are both middle class hang-outs. I can say that because I’m middle-class and have thrown functions at BG and I have a boat on Lake Lanier. What is so “elite” about these people? Heck…I guess I can start calling myself elite!!! I haven’t seen any of these women go to the Four Seasons, The Dining Room or Bacchanalia.

The show is good, but it seems that they are acting like they are queens because they are on tv. I like Nene because she just really out there and she tell what’s on her mind. I really hate it that she had to wait until now to find that Curtis wasn’t her dad. But I think he already knew.
I think big poppa is someone who is running from the police that’s why he doesn’t want to be seen. Lisa doesn’t mention her kids because Keith Sweat doesn’t want them on tv. And they don’t want to be on tv either. He was on V-103 a few weeks ago and he said that the kids lives with him. So we will never get to see them on the show. Sheree and Kim ego’s are too much for me. And Deshawn needs to stop spending so much of her husband’s money. When her fund raiser didn’t go so well, it seems like her husband was mad but he kept his cool because the cameras was on.

I watched the very first episode of the show and decided that I was not going to be a regular viewer because I am so tired of this kind of reality show (trash) that I just don’t know what to do. As far as I am concerned, Ne-Ne is the only one of any real interest and I love the fact that she does not put on airs…she is who she is and money did not change that. Lisa needs to let go of the past and that husband of hers needs to let her stand on her own and be the woman she claims to be. Deshawn is joke…enough said. Sheree and Kim they have one another and thank God because otherwise they would have to stay in the mirror telling themselves how beautiful and strong they are and then they would never get ANYTHING done. I have to say that I am glad that it is not a sista that is the one being “kept”.

Yeah this show is true entertainment. I am an african-american woman myself and I hope to never be like Sheree or Kim if I ever get that rich. However, Sheree and Kim seem to say that they are soooo independent when they are living off of their MENS’ MONEY…it not your money. Sheree needs to find her own income and get some fashion for her fashion show. And I thought designers were supposed to draw their OWN designs. I have different opinions on this show. NeNe is the only really one , considering she can be a liitle hood LOL, but she keeps it real. Kim in the beginning I sort of liked until I saw how she could flip the script. Hell naw, why is she even on this show. I bet Big Poppa is married or with someone else. She is trash, but hell get your money hoe. She could not sing, who the hell told her she could.They where just mad at Ne Ne for telling the truth about it. Lisa, she on both sides, she is doing her own things as well as being a ball players wife. I heard the kids are never shown and mentioned due to Keith Sweat had to give permission for his kids to be filmed and he did not. DeShawn is special. I totally agree , these people are going to be broke if she keeps going through the money on ridiculous things such as having everyone else do things for her. I call her a newbie at having money. Her husband needs to check her. Shree is crazy. Everyone is right she using her husband to make it still, and who says she knows fashion or is fashion, hell give me some money like that and I will also claim to have fashion, hell everyone has fashion. Why is that this shows highlights three pro-sports wives (and ex-wife), a bimbo, straight-up white trailer park trash “wanna be” elitist, and a ghetto fabulous, hoochie in designer clothes? At least the “Orange Co. (California)” version featured women running their own companies/businesses. I’m a 24 y/o female who is planning on beginning a teaching career in Atlanta next year and Lisa and DeShawn, you ladies are such an inspiration—business and family-wise!! I love Real Housewives of Atlanta, and I will be a faithful viewer next season also. It’s such a great show.
I understand the show is edited to perceive people in a certain light, which has cause me to have a few issues with a couple of ladies in the cast, but everyone brings something unique and special to the show. I wish the best for each and every cast member and their families.

Love, love, love this show! These women are crazy as all get out, but it sure makes for good TV! NeNe, you rock!!! Yes, you are loud and a little ghetto, but you seem to have shown your real self - and I think that’s why you are being shown so much love. The others are just frontin’! DeShawn is just a trip, Lisa is not what she wants us to think she is, and Kim and Sheree (the Plastics)are just pathetic. And sorry, I’m not at all buying the rumor that Quincy Jones is Kim’s Big Papa - she is a little too long in the tooth for Q. He likes ‘em young, real young. And though Kim may be young in years, she does not look 29 OR 30 - I don’t care how many years she has been getting BOTOX - it ain’t working!!!

My boyfriend told me to type something rough because he can’t stand Kim nor Sheree. I feel that Lisa was the one that told Sheree about NeNe picking on Kim thereby making the situation worse last week. I love Deshawn and NeNe,and in the future will find out how to contribute to their charities. Lisa is okay I just can’t figure her out yet. Last at certainly not least Kim is a total H.A.M and Sheree should be ashamed of herself lying to Kim telling her she can sing when anyone with hearing knows thats a lie.(notice Dallas Austin laughing last week). Sheree has the audacity to say at the beginning that people are jealous of her success. Really I feel sorry for the both of them because they lack class,morals and value.

How can you expect anything to go right for you when all you do is make demeaning and snide remarks about people. Be careful of the toes you step on now because they may be attached to an ASS that you may have to KISS later..(wink/smile) And if you have sooo many connections, why didnt you call Mychael Knight from the JUMP? You wouldn’t have to had to second guess any of his work b/c any fan of Project Runway has seen his work and knows that everything he does is flawless.

I can’t beleive that NeNe would actually talk so much trash without first getting those missing teeth at the bottom of her big mouth replaced first. She is really a character. And an unattractive one at that. Please don’t get it twisted, no one on that show has any reason to hate on you. The only thing that they probably hate is that your not a little easier on the eye. No one should trust Kim. She’s a sneaky, fake, slimmy, two-faced snake. She had a friendship with NeNe, but managed to wezzle her way into Sherees’ mix knowing that NeNe and Sheree had differences. Now her and Sheree have become buddy, buddy. Sheree, cut this slimmy B#$@* off. I don’t like the way that she tries to carry you. It seems to me that she tries to talk down to you. It’s obvious that she’s jealous because you didn’t buy your beauty…you were born with it. And everything about her is manmade. Sheree, you’ve been around and I’m sure that you’ve experienced jealousy, so you should know that this B%&*$ is jealous of you and so is NeNe. I wouldn’t be surprised if NeNe didn’t put Kims’ dumb batty ass up on you because of her dislike for you and are probably still friends and just faking like they’re not. Mrs. DeShawn Snow. I’m so tired of the NeNe being “real” comments. NeNe is real, alright… real GHETTO. She is so hood and lacking in class. NeNe is proof of all the things money can’t buy! And, Lisa… I thought she was cool. But, she has proven to be the kind of person I hate. Okay, I just sat here and read each and every statement that was posted. First of all, you guys are funny as all get-out. Second, my daughter used to go to school with Dallas’ son and I promise you that while he is nice and doesn’t want to make a fool of Kim on TV, I am sure that he let her know that she cannot sing. For that matter, if he is even thinking about helping her, he needs to call my daughter and get her in the studio. At least he’s heard her sing and seen her act.
Cara, I am a faithful member of New Birth and I do not appreciate what you had to say about my Bishop. Yes, the clips with DeShawn in them do seem to make things look bad but I promise you that Bishop is a wonderful person and a wonderful pastor. You also have to remember that everything that he has, he has because we give a “love offering”. Our tilthes go to the church.
Now, NeNe has to be my favorite as well. I was abused as a teenager in high school and she is doing a good thing. I also love her husband.
Eric Snow has always been one of my favorite players (A.I. is my all time fav. I hail from Newport News, VA) To see the look in his eyes when he deals with DeShawn lets me know that he truly loves her. She’ll come around. Although she does need to raise her own children.
Now, I didn’t even know that Lisa was Keith’s ex. My husband used to be their Fedex driver and she has lovely children who are well behaved and have good manners. So, whether you see them or not, she was obviously a good mom when she was there because kids don’t become well behaved if they don’t have a good role model in their formative years.
Kim - I have a sister named Kim and this one is giving people named Kim a bad rap. Enough said.
Sheree - Don’t like anything about her.
I did like Ed behind on the videotape though. It is too bad that these women only want to hang out with people that have more money than they know what to do with. I would love to be able to help people and be in their position. Hopefully in these hard times, they will find it in their hearts to help a homeless shelter with food or adopt a family that is about to be foreclosed on and help pull them out of despair. They may not get a return on that money,but they would have the satisfaction of knowing that they really did help someone.
P.S. Eric if you still speak to A.I. let him know that his biggest fan has moved from Va. to Ga. I look forward to seeing him play in Detroit.

Ok I have read just about every comment on here…I am a faithful watcher of this show. I have to go one by one like everyone has done:
Ne Ne-Blunt, loved her fundraiser, her husband is not the best looking but he loves her. Her kids are SHOWN more than the other children and she is being a MOTHER to them! Ne Ne is a REAL housewife in my book! I also love Dwight! I want to see him in person!
DeShawn-Sweet, with a little sour side. No one has mentioned that she has a slight speech problem that I keep hearing every episode…work on that sweety! Her fundraiser was a nice thought, but like Dwight Eubanks said and I quote,”How she gone raise a million dollars for free?” Your husband was mad and told you in a nice way on t.v. “Don’t do that sh@t again! Also do not tell a sales clerk at a baby clothing store or any store about your personal dividends that your spouse makes and how you feel about it! For all you know that is that clerks second job and she really works for TMZ! you will find yourself being talked about on that show or Talk Soup! Also I am plus sized and that is not a bad thing. I think she dresses well.
Sheree-Ok nobody has said it, so I’m gone say it. Sheree has pretty hair (although it is paper thin) pretty clothes and she has a cute figure, but Sheree looks like a horse! I am sorry, she look like Mr. ED! She does have this arrogant attitude and thinks she is the sh@t! Where are your kids? She never spends time with them! Be a mom if you call yourself a housewife! The fashion show was a flop! And her ex came and you could tell that she still has some feelings for him the way she acted around him! Clean up your bedroom, cause it was nasty! Stay out the mall cause you are known NOW only because of this show! Before this I had never heard of you! And I think she is jealous of Ne Ne because she wants the confidence that Ne Ne has, but she can’t pull it off.
Lisa-Did yall see the way Jazzi Pha picked her up and hugged her? I heard Keith Sweat on the radio and I don’t blame him for not wanting their children on t.v. Okay, let’s be real. This show is awful,degrading, and down right a very bad display of the true housewives of Atlanta. Kim appears to be a high price call girl, which the Feds should investigate, as well as DFACS. My guess would be, some of those gifts fall outside of IRS rules. Those phony foundations should also be a concern to them as well. Are they using the foundations to conceal income? Modern day people are arrested for drinking and driving. To purposely show such blatant disrespect for the law, says something about the city of Atlanta and the network. Children who watch this junk are getting the wrong message. Thank God for the real Mothers of Atlanta, because they are the real stars and their children are our future leaders. In addition, someone please tell the men to get a grip and grow up. The rich stay rich by protecting their wealth, not flaunting and spending on lavish events. If they want to spend anything, they should start with a trainer for the NBA wife,a shrink for Sheree, an attorney for Kim, a divorce attorney for Lisa, her husband is a dud and a plastic surgeon for NeNe, her face just does not work.

This show does not at all represent the true Atlanta elite. Not even in the black high society in Atlanta which goes back 100 years. None of these ghetto/ PWT girls would even be considered or probably don’t even know members of Atlanta’s elite. (organizations such as the Links, Jack and Jill, Boule, Girl friends, Guardsmen, Junior league)These are Atlanta’s upper crust. These housewives and many of you bloggers have probably never even heard of these groups. And even within these groups the Atlanta chapters are even more elite than in the surrounding areas. Athletes and entertainers and their families are NOT apart of black Atlanta’s elite. These people just moved here, they act and sound like they have not completed any higher education. And if they did it was not by and acceptable elite school (ie Spelman,Howard, Harvard, U VA etc.). These ladies parents obviously didn’t go to school either or they would not act as unrefined as they do. NeNe doesn’t even know who her daddy is! Sisters apart of the elite Atlanta culture do not have ghetto names that begin with La, De ,Sha and they would not wear weaves and would not be apart of this show. Alpharetta, Gwinnette is not where the real black elite lives, its SW Atlanta, Intown, Buckhead. or have roots there. yall shoulgd read Otis Grahams book Black America elite if you want know the real story.

This show is simply good entertainment. The world is full of people willing and able to let others see how stupid they are. If they aren’t smart enough to know better, too bad, so sad for them. People like this probably don’t even have enough sense to be embarrassed. You couldn’t convince them they have made themselves look like fools world-wide. If I were one of these women, after this debut, I’d run and hide forever and apologize to my family!!! The kids are who I feel most sorry for.

I must admit that I’m not a big so called Reality Series Viewer but my wife has me hooked on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Just watching the women on the show is very entertaining and hilarious. I simply view this as entertainment. I’m not here to trash the women or argue about who has old money or new money, or whatever, as other bloggers have mentioned. This is my escape from the 2 Wars, collasping economy, and extremely fragile housing market that dominates the headlines on Fox News, CNN, etc.
All I can say is the DRAMA that brews between the women, obviously help fuel the show. Hopefully the Grand Finale will include more excitement to segue into Season 2.

I, like may of you, have sat and read all of these comments. I definately agree with the most of you but:
“Big Poppa” is not Quincy Jones, although Kim does kinda resemble a drunk broke down slightly crackish version of Peggy Lipton, Q likes his jump offs on the young side. The last girl linked to him was barely in her 20’s… and we know even with Kim’s botox steez, she’s comfortably in the “Freaky 40’s”. Clearly.
I would start a donation for Sheree’s nostril reduction. For Real.
DeShawn seems quite off (and I’m being nice). I mean, if you’re really concerned about your “girls” in your charity (and I’m not even going to go into the shallow premise of her charity) wouldn’t it make sense for you to throw some money that way instead of portraying her self to be a “diamond princess”.
There’s something missing with Lisa, Keith Sweat financed her movie… the movie went double tin in sales, and then she turns and files for bankrupcy… I guess that explains the need to have all of those businesses… tax ID numbers come in handy when you have a -170 credit score. Can’t knock the hustle tho.
Did I mention that Sheree looks like a variety of Jim Henson characters… A Fraggle, the monster thing from the Dark Crystal, Gonzo from the Muppets… I can go all day with this.

All these women prove is that money cannot buy happiness, because if the truth be REALLY told, they are all miserable beyond what a $2000 pair of shoes can fix!
I will say that Lisa has my vote on being the best housewife of this particular group. At least she contributes! I think she learned has learned lessons from her past mistakes and trying to get back on track.
DeShawn - What exactly does she do other than spend money? I haven’t seen the girls of her foundation, a board meeting, or anything substantive about this so called foundation YET! Remember, the type of wife and mother that you are is the same kind of woman that your sons will marry. And you are not setting a great example for them to follow based what I have seen in this show. God gave you kids for YOU to take care of!!
Nene- she is no doubt the “realest”, but Nene take it down a couple of notches. CLASS is a four letter word that speaks loud enough for itself.
Kim - Who said you were 24? I think the numbers were transposed! You look at least 42. Kim, has anybody ever talked to you about what loyalty is? Sheree is desperate for a friend and chose you to make NeNe mad. And stop with all this foolishness with the hair, botox and skin tight clothes. You are making yourself look CHEAP. I have to say this is one of my guilty pleasure shows. Kim is a HOT mess with her crazy wig and bad voice. There is NO way that woman is 29!! Getting botox since she was 24 wow that says something. I agree that Kim is not a housewife but a kept woman and she doesnt seem worth keeping. She needs to use some of that Big Poppa money and do something with that hair!
I think is Sheree is a pretty woman but I just dont like her attitude and I dont understand why she needs personal assistants, life coaches, etc. She doenst have a job. She needs to be saving that money in case she doenst get the “seven” figures she wants in her divorce LOL.
I like Lisa and Deshawn they seem to be the most neutral and least flashy of the group.

I can’t believe her stylist is actually proud of that puppy on her head. Boy oh boy!!! Sheree is something aweful. I do not understand last night’s episode in the least. Why would Sheree get her tail on national tv saying she’s this that & the other, when she had to sit in I guess her son’s room and use the computer. The carpet in the doorway was busted. If she wants to brag, then do so, but please have your s$%t straight. Kim is the dumbest blond B.I. I have ever seen in my life. And YES I also think big papa is married. Kim looks like straight trailer trash that has been revamped. She may have two more years before Big Papa turns her in for a new model. I truly love NeNe because she is herself no matter what! NeNe is my favorite hands down. She is a wife (with a loving husband)and a mother with real issues. She seems fun to be around and has taken this opportunity to bring her platform on domestic violence to the forefront. She is raising money for a definite worthy cause. NeNe, keep doing what you doing. I would love to be your friend. Kim is another story. She is so fake and because she repeatedly mentioned her secret boyfriend Big Pappa the paparuzzi has now solved the mystery and now he’s busted and had to dump her before his wife squeezes him for all he’s worth and leaves him the worthless A-hole that he is. Now Kim’s “high priced ho” love affair with cold-hard-cash is up. She should sell those diamonds and get on the next thing smokin back to Connecticut. DeShawn is okay. I just think she’s a little naive. But did you catch her trying to play “miss richy rich” for the cameras when she asked her potential “estate manager” to call her father to ask him what he wanted the house stocked with for his visit? Her husband Eric Snow gave her that look like “what the hell”. LOL! Mykael check’d Sheree really good and she needs that every so often. Got to love her (she never lets you see her sweat) but who is the real Sheree? Behind the mask! Nobody feels that fab all the time…I don’t believe the hype. Kim is a hustla…bottom line! and NeNe is real…she could use some refining. Mrs. Snow is nice, but needs to learn to relax. I enjoyed HWOA and looked forward to watching each episode. Comments regarding each individual lady: NeNE…..kudos to you! I love the fact that she is so honest. She isn’t pretentious and tells it like it is!! I take my hat off to her husband. A gentleman, supportive and loving to NeNe and her boys!!! Lisa Wu….a real go getter!! I have lived in Atlanta for approximately 20 years and have seen a goof example of women who represent Atlanta! I was married to Greg Leakes cousin and have met Greg; who has five kids from a previous marriage. What happened to the kids!
