11/19: Real Housewives of Atlanta recap, season finale
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
This is the episode where NeNe and Kim supposedly bury the hatchet.
Lisa and DeShawn created a gathering at a restaurant to reconcile the pair. NeNe had made fun of Kim’s country aspiration in a drunken limo ride. Lisa told Sheree, who told Kim. Kim, without talking to NeNe, sent her a nasty text message telling her she was never going to talk to her. Sheree became close buds with Kim, which NeNe didn’t like either.
“NeNe’s a drag queen,” Kim said to Sheree. “You’re beautiful.”
“NeNe’s fun,” Lisa said.
“At everyone else’s expense,” Sheree said.
But they agree to go to the dinner though Kim says, “NeNe better than to me,” Kim says. “She’ll get her ass beat first.” NeNe to the cameras: “I don’t plan on apologizing… and we will never be friends.” Smack! At the Pacific Kitchen restaurant, the Arctic chill lingers. NeNe finally asks the question why Kim didn’t come to NeNe to clear the air.
“How small of you! You’ve known me for years. If you had a problem with me, you should have come to me,” NeNe said. “To me, you look ridiculous!”
After many closeup looks of intensity from the folks at the table (with dramatic music to boot), Gregg, NeNe’s husband, plays Jimmy Carter and tells them to move on, that life is too short to be so hateful. “This is not worth it,” he said. “If certain individuals can take the time away from everything to really sit down and have meaningful dialogue, you will see 99% of this stuff you were fed didn’t emanate from the source… Take this stumbling block and turn it into a stepping stone.”
Kim admits to the camera that she should have called NeNe but does not say so directly to NeNe.
NeNe and Kim agree to have coffee. Everyone hugs and the end of the episode is a “happy” ending. (In the “afterward,” it’s noted the pair never have coffee though NeNe told me she did apologize and they did clear the air.)
Earlier in the episode, in a phone call, Dallas Austin told Kim the hard truth about her country dreams. He said she really had to work hard, focus and stop smoking. “What the hell is that?” Kim said afterwards. “Music is my passion,” she said. “My voice- it’s a God given talent and I’m destroying it.” Yup. It’s her smoking that is why her singing is so poor! Though she goes into a “country music boot camp,” her attempts to stop smoking eventually fail. (Strange parenting 101: her gals, who are 8 and 11, still sleep in her bed with her. Really???)
In other storylines, Lisa expresses worries about Ed Hartwell joining the Oakland Raiders. (After a 30th birthday party at Luda’s restaurant Straits, he ultimately gets dropped before the season starts.) Sheree meets with Michael Knight from “Project Runway” to give her advice on her fashion and critiques what she had done wrong. (She actually took the advice well.) DeShawn attempts to cook while her hubby talks about retiring due to injury. And NeNe doesn’t pursue who her real daddy is and she gets a tricked out F150 for her son as a high school graduation gift.
Next week’s reunion features a surprise showdown between Kim and Lisa. Here’s a tease. Lisa is peeved!

I dont think its worth a second season. I just do not like Sheree, she is such a negative person. Kim is a follower. the preview is the business. That is going to be great, cant wait!!

I got hooked on “The Real Housewives” with this Atlanta bunch. I agree with ATLGAL, Sheree is very negative and Kim is a follower. I can’t believe Kim is saying she is 30 years old? Maybe 5 years ago and what does she do for a living? I never see her work.

I always liked Ne NE, Lisa, and DeShawn becuase they don’t keep drama they stay to their family and live a normal life and it is about time somebody said something to Kim about her s**. She is not even a real housewife anyway, she is a gold digger with a bad wig….. I can’t wait for the reunion this is going to be good.

I always like Ne NE because she is real, Lisa because she will try and help the situation and DeShawn because she will stay out of the drama. i also agree with ATLGAL about Sheree and it is about time somebody said something to Kim about her s**. I’m beginning to think that Rodney Ho doesn’t watch the episodes. Each week there are inconsistencies and poor proofreading and editing.

I can’t wait to see the reunion show next week, its going to be a trip. I was really surprised to see Lisa going at it with Kim because they have always shown her as being neutral with all the issues between everyone on the show. I enjoy seeing her interact with her family, she loves her husband and that’s a beautiful thing. I like NeNe as well because she always keeps it real and I appreaciate someone who is always honest. DeShawn seems really geniune as well and that’s nice. Sheree reminds me of myself, someone who doesn’t take any BS. Can someone tell me what Kim does or was she just living off of Big Daddy? Now the new season of the Real Housewives of Orange County is going to be another funny season as well.

First of all, I have watched every season on Real Housewives at the Atlanta is the most embarrassing, most ghetto bunch of low class women I have yet to see.
Seems to me, every single one of them came from nothing and by some fluke of nature married into money.
Kim: is flabby and wears a wig? She has ZERO talent…is a terrible Mom. What kind of Mom drives around with a glass of champagne in hand? Kim isn’t even married….she says she is 29, but looks far older than 29. She dates a man that is obviously married and she is nothing more than a hooch that receives clothing from her “services rendered”. God, please don’t give these women a second season.

The should do a Chicago’s North Shore or Gold Coast housewives. That’s opulence!!!

After watching these five women and the preview of the reunion show. NeNe and Kim should be replaced if there is a second season. Lisa I thought she had more class. But the preview to the reunion show I have second thoughts. The original housewives of Orange County has replaced some of the housewives. I certainly hope that NeNe will be replaced. You can tell things and speak your mind and don’t hold anything back but it is the way and how you speak it call self respect. NeNe has been called the ghetto/hoodrat and she has lived up to what people has preceived her to be because NeNe has put that type of behavior in front of the camera. Please in no way put down all women of Atlanta. True there are many women that act like this bunch. However, there are a few of us that really know how to carry ourselves. I’m glad that Kim is on the show. It allowed all of to see that it’s not just black women that wear bad weaves! Pleas do not do a seaon 2 of this mess!!!

I also agree with “atlgal & DonnaP” i knew Kim would admit that she should’ve talked to Ne-Ne instead up being a “BFF” with Sheree. “Braon” if you let those 5 women keep you from moving to a “great city” like Atlanta you need help. “Sarah” that comment you made makes no sense cause what ever high horse you’ve put yourself on all of sudden; you ain’t always been up there so get real. Wow, people really think shows like this truely represent the city? It is a non-realiy reality. If you choose not to move to a city because of a “Real House wives” show, you have more issues than the people of this city want.
And what’s with the MARTA pass comment? I live in the burbs and take MARTA to work in Buckhead (a VERY nice part of Atlanta) everyday. What’s wrong with that? At least I’m not sitting in an hours worth of traffic polluting the air with my half ton SUV.

Axe, axe, axe, axe, axe, axe, axe, I thought I would die and actually cringed when Sheree said axe in place of ask. This makes her look ridiculous.
Note to Kim, NeNe was your friend, and I think your children trusted her for that reason. NeNe wasn’t laughing at you and obviously you had never spoke to her sincerely about your singing aspirations. At least she told you the truth and a real friend will do that, she wouldn’t lie to your face and feed you a bunch of b.s. so that you look more ridiculous than she does. From the first episode I thought the two of you had what it takes to have a genuine friendship, honesty and love but your little singing ego got you all confused and now you are swimming with that shark Sheree and who knows what motivates her.

I have watched all of the episodes and my least favorite of the Housewives were the ones who were not actually Housewives - Kim and Sheree.
Kim dated a married man, spends money ridiculously, can’t spell cat (K.A.T.), can’t sing worth a lick and does not know the meaning of the word friendship. And she hooked on to Sheree like lint to a lint roller. Kim: “You’re so beautiful.” Sheree: “You’re so beautiful too.” side eye
As for Sheree, people are not jealous of her success. What has she done to make people want to emulate her? She married a football player and is going through a divorce. That’s where her money comes from. It doesn’t look like she has a man and she seems to validate herself through vanity and materialism. I’d rather continue living my lowly middle class existence with a hard working man by my side than worry about who is going to be wearing the same $1000 dress or $3250 bag as myself.
I like Ne Ne, Lisa and DeShawn for keeping it real, although not all the way classy sometimes.

I’m looking forward to the reunion show, I think we will get to see Lisa’s true colors. She has been able to hide behind the others drama while she tries to convince us she is a businesswoman and family focused. All of her scenes seemed much rehearsed and fake…no talk of why she lost custody (takes ALOT for a woman NOT to get her kids) and why a “professional businesswoman” would resort to threats when things get heated. Her signature line”if it doesn’t make me money I don’t do it” tells it all…no charity work there..it is all about her. Very classy!

We know that this show is as far from “reality” as you can get. But take it for what it really is—“TV candy”. These women are going to say and do anything they can to get more air time but as they continue to talk- the more their stories change.
I love it when NeNe and Kim say they “have know each other for years and years and years” when actually it is only for three!
How many people thought that as soon as Kim’s daughters turned their backs she picked out every pack of cigs from the trash can. Can’t wait to see what her explanation of “having cancer and losing 25 lbs” is going to be in the finale wrap-up show.
If I had cancer and two young girls- I would put down the cigs!!
If there is another season- let’s get a real housewife on the show- one who is actually married and does things around the house!!

I think NeNe is the only “real” one. She say’s what she means and does not sugar coat everything. She also seems to have a secure relationship with her husband and children because they talk about everything. Sheree and Kim are very fake people and we should all pity them for being lonely sad women whom everyone pretends to like. Shawn is the most simple-minded and annoying of the bunch, but I give her credit for truly living the good life. My advice for her is one word Treadmill. She also should stop talking about food so much. Lisa is really a sad case as well. She seems very insecure about her man not being in her sight at every moment…even if it means he will be bringing home the bacon….Lord knows they need it! Her baby is adorable (does she lock her other kids in the dungeon?), and her husband has a glorious body snaps. She might want to watch that….. All-in-all, if these “want to be divas” would like to embarrass themselves for another season, I wish them luck. I like a good laugh, so I will defiantly be watching!

Bravo is sliding into the sewer with the (Not)Real Housewives of (Not) Atlanta. These women live in the McMansions of the north ‘burbs. Have any of them ever been on West Paces Ferry Road or to the Cherokee Country Club? They probably don’t know that part of town. The show was simply vulgar excess. Why didn’t the Mayor of Atlanta show up for an episode if this was “so Atlanta”? Everything that Bravo did was misleading about the reality of this show? Let’s get back to the O.C.

Yesterday Lisa was on 104.1 with Art Terrell and I have to agree with her when asked Did she think they represented the true housewives of Atlanta, she said “NO”, they represent themselves and never thought they were.
This has been entertainment and the criticisms are ridiculous. Entertainment just as Orange County and New York were the difference, I don’t recall having an active Blog for those Housewives. However they did some outlandish mess as well, they were very superficial in a different manner, botox, weight loss camps for children, breast augmentation for daughters as well as the moms, expensive shopping, traveling, husbands who were older with money but not necessary still in love with each other, the list goes on. Oh yeah, there was plenty to talk about but we didn’t.
Now that I’ve watched HWOA, over and over, I feel a bit differently b/c I had no clue that Lisa didn’t know anyone when the show began however NeNe knew Sheree for seven years and Kim for three years. Sheree has done NeNe wrong from the party to the final dinner. If you have a friendship with someone for seven years, you should never allow a lesser party to separate that trust. I now believe Sheree meant to leave NeNe off the list because she no longer met the criteria for the elite friends, now that Sheree was a TV personality. I also believe Sheree latched on to Kim because she believed Kim had connections with Big Papa especially since she had a somewhat corial acquaintance with Dallas Austin.
Surprise, Surprise Sheree, Kim no longer has a connection as we saw last night, she is no longer with Big Papa. Sheree is not being big and bad any longer, demeaning NeNe behind her back. She was so low key last night when NeNe was speaking you could probably hear a pin drop. All Sheree could do is drop low key insulting comments but nothing specific. Now she and Kim can continue to tell each other how beautiful they are.
Can’t wait until next week, it appears that more happended off camera than we could even imagine. Did Kim ever have cancer? and why is Lisa going to whip her but? Could Kim let NeNe go so that she could reach for Kim and whip the butt.
DeShawn is becoming more humble since the $$$$ are not coming in any longer. Some of the luxuries she has are too much. The wealthiest of the wealthy don’t have someone come to their home daily and do their hair and make-up, manage their day, etc. Get real, cutting those three positions can save a fortune.
Finally, I think all of the Land Rovers are leases to make them all appear more grand.
Can’t wait until next week.!!!!

I watched the other housewives show and they were just as bad. The only thin is these women are black now its a problem. Whateva love to see black women with black men living life and loving it. STop Hating love NENE hate KIM she smoke in front of her kids they are bad as hell and spoiled she has to call out the name of the person that make her clothes (these are Gucci) (Put on you Dolci dress)all the time. Now kym as a kept woman or Prostitute has been dumped by her boyfriend who is probably black and married has to find another source of money…probably another stupid black man who falls for the double dd’s. Get real? No, this isn’t real. What is real is the every day average Joe struggling to get by with a mortgage, kids, bills, and work. This is what it is - just another way to get TV ratings. Some people like these types of shows, some don’t. It has nothing to do with being black, white, or otherwise. Trash is trash regardless of it’s skin color.

ok..first off I see alot of comments about these women being trashy and like ghetto. Who ever made the comment about chicgao being oppulent this is for u. Any of these women can go anywhere any time. yes i have lived on lakeshore dr. and many other places. What I like most is that these women are diverse,they are trying to do better than where ever they came from..Another thing I have been around old money and new money..reality check! alot of the new money is, bigger ,and better, for instance Puffy. I like down to earth people wealthy or poor. These women can’t be too stupid thay tricked somebody out of a whole lotta cash! Some of ya gotta a Master and still make $11 a hr. They got diploma and a masters in The School of Hardknocks! Keep representing GIRLS!

NeNe never shunned who she was and where she came from I admire that about her. NeNe actually opened herself up in front of millions of people to share a very personal matter, that took courage. Greg shows true love and support regardless if his wife is GHETTO are not! I think that is what Sheree resents, with all of her elite status and superficial friendships she is a very insecure, drag-queenish looking woman.
Kim is ridiculous enough said…

I Luv NeNe - she is real !!! If you really listen to what she says she’s a riot !!! I hope she gets her own show. Kim is white trash - period!!! Are ya kidding me about her singing ??? Sheree is a phony. Lisa is fun - but the fact that she told Sheree about NeNe singing in the limo makes me leery of her. DeShawn is enjoying the high life - go for it girl !!!

I have been a fan of all three series. The OC, NY, and now the ATL. Granted, money has power. It can buy fine homes, elegant wardrobes, and dazzling furnishings. It may also buy adulation, compliance, or flattery, even producing a few temporary and obliging friends. But that is about as far as the power of money goes. What we need most, money cannot buy—the love of one true human friend, peace of mind, a crumb of heartfelt solace in the hour of death. And for those who cherish their relationship with the Creator, money cannot buy God’s approval.

I enjoyed the ATL women it gave you a chance to see how the rich carries theirselves and it just goes to show more money does not mean more class me and my friend bobby talk about it at work its very entertaining deshawn although sweet she seemed like she tried too hard to fit in even as someone with money she didn’t carry it off well just shows that someone with money is no more special she over compensated lisa very beautiful but she is a instigator she has a beautiful marriage but she’s a little troublemaker nene I like that she speaks her mind but she is too much in instances she can be ghetto sheree is a bitch she dresses very well holds herself in high regards and nothings wrong with that but what about your kids they were a mess sheree and kim are better suited as friends both are true gold diggers and kim is a hot mess all that money you can’t get a better wig and as for your singing kim sheree is not a true friend you can NOT SING AT ALL YOU HAVE NO TALENT please watch when you were singing in the recording studio why did the man remove the headphones from his ear one word of advice put as much into your childrens wardrobe as you do yours I think as mother your kids are the true reflection of you make sure they look good

I think NeNe is the only “real” one. She say’s what she means and does not sugar coat everything. She also seems to have a secure relationship with her husband and children because they talk about everything. Sheree and Kim are very fake people and we should all pity them for being lonely sad women whom everyone pretends to like. Shawn is the most simple-minded and annoying of the bunch, but I give her credit for truly living the good life. My advice for her is one word Treadmill. She also should stop talking about food so much. Lisa is really a sad case as well. She seems very insecure about her man not being in her sight at every moment…even if it means he will be bringing home the bacon….Lord knows they need it. Her baby is adorable (does she lock her other kids in the dungeon?), and her husband has a glorious body snaps. She might want to watch that….. All-in-all, if these want to be divas would like to embarrass themselves for another season, I wish them luck. I like a good laugh so I will defiantly be watching!

I love this show and think that NENE is the realist one on the show her and her husband Greg appear to be real folk. Lisa is pretty nice and very attractive. She seems genuine and she really cares for her husband “Big Ed”. Deshawn is a typical spoiled athlete’s wife who is wasting her husbands $$$. She better slow down on that spending, although Eric played 13yrs. He ain’t got no Shaq or Kobe dollars. Kim is the worst one of all, where in the hell did the find this trailer park chick at? This show is a guilty pleasure. It is like watching a train wreck. Basically all of these women have money because of who they married not based on their own merits. Deshawn is clueless. I think she is sincere, but an airhead. She has never really articulated exactly what her foundation does and she spends money like it is growing on trees. She lost me when she showed the check for $15,000 that she gave for her tithe at church. How unbelievably tacky! Your tithe is between you and God. It is not something you do for show. Sheree is self-absorbed. I don’t know why she thinks people are jealous of her success. What success? She married a pro-athlete and is trying to make her divorce bankroll her for the rest of her life. Kim is just a gold-digger with no visible means of support. She is a follower and not very bright. She cannot sing!!! It was all Dallas Austin could do to keep from laughing in her face in the studio. Kim and Sheree telling each other how beautiful they are was just crazy. And just an observation, but why is it that Sherees son, NeNe’s oldest son and Kim’s oldest daughter all appear to be in need of braces? With all the money these women spend don’t they take their kids to the dentist? Any good dentist would have referred these kids to an orthodontist long ago. NeNe does keep it real and her husband is always the voice of reason. Lisa is the only one who works and she does not seem nearly as extravagant as the other women. The whole controversy between Kim and NeNe was so much like junior high it was ridiculous. This was fun to watch for a few episodes but I don’t think it deserves a second season. It has run its course.

I love NeNe and can’t stand Kim. How have they known each other for so long? Did they dance at the same club and NeNe watch Kim’s snottty kids for her while she was on stage? Kim dresses and acts like a hooker and is teaching her girls to follow in her footsteps. DID YOU SEE ALL THE PACKS OF CIGS IN THE FRIDGE?!?! And dressing your 8 year old in Dior and Gucci? WTH? I was just glad to see at the end of the show that “Big Poppa” has dropped her skanky butt and decided to spend money on his own family…Maybe she ought to hook up with Sheree and they can look at each other every morning and tell each other how beautiful they are.
Sheree has NO room to talk about someone being negative. The only positive words out of her mouth is how wonderful she is - obviously not since she’s living at home - alone and bitter. She says hateful things about Bob but is quick to spend the money he sends her way. “She by Sheree” needs to go.
I like the relationship that DeShawn & Eric have. But he needs to reign in that spending! Obviously she didn’t use her hairdresser last night since she had her weave bobby pinned in…
Lisa seems a little insecure and likes the attention. She’s what we call a s**t stirrer around these parts - always starting trouble without seeming to.
With that said, I can’t wait till the reunion so I can see why Lisa got a restraining order against K-A-T, I mean Kim…And when they tell her to keep her legs closed to married men, I almost fell off the sofa!! How true! How true!

These women only represent just another segment in society that has already been there,with their money and personally.Not everyone behave the same, the wives in NY are different and the ones in OC are too. But the only thing that they have in common is their love for the good life, and problems that comes with it. It’s just expressed differently. Us black people have always been a very colorful bunch in every area, which natuarlly goes along with our personally. Which is contributed by the way we are socialized and sometimes is inate. We have celebrities that behave like this, and we find that funny, and thinks that it is acceptable, so why is it that their behavour is thought upon differently.

I finally decided to watch this show within the past week, and “hmmm”.
“Kim” is sickening to look at, she can’t sing worth a damn, she’s trying to be more than what she ever was/ever could be, and if anything, she needs to help with her wig….PLEASE someone help her,”Ne-Ne”, and the millions of ATL women/young girls who wear their hairpieces in such a manner as that.
“Ne-Ne” is just ghettoish who lucked up on this old rich “yes” man. She is an embarrasment to this man - who is obviously too stupid to see, and she needs to get some “class” about herself among other things. Who’s jealous “Ne-Ne”? I think the purpose of the show is to entertain; that’s first. Secondly, the ladies do not necessarily rep ATL; but themselves. These ladies have all lived other places, but just happen to reside in Atlanta and be on a show.
That said, yes the show should return for a 2nd season because the ratings simply were excellent! They aired the shows over 25 times and the only time the show ratings slightly dropped was the night of Obama won the presidency. But for those of you who do not want to see the 2nd season, then just don’t watch.
I found it very interesting that Lisa admitted to secretly hating DeShawn. That blew me away. You can view that on www.yahoo.com. But at least she was classy about it; she didn’t disrespect anyone at all.
If anyone needs to go from the show; it’s DeShawn. I really like DeShawn, but she does not need this show. I think this show will hurt her if anything. She has such a good heart and I hate to see her continuously get disappointed. Her foundation will do fine without this show.
Kim is confused and easily persuaded. She’s the most fake one because for one, she isn’t a housewife and looks fake…she need a makeover. So glad Dallas told her the truth.LOL!
Sheree needs to humble herself. She told Michael Knight that she’s grand…he broke her down and basically said she needs to slow down and handle her clothing designs more closely and also take baby steps. She has potential; she just needs to listen. She also is too arrogant and should tone it down a few notches.
NeNe is my girl! I think she is the most truthful and knows when to stop the fuss to get things done for a good cause. She has a wonderful husband and children and she just has it together. I think she should definitely watch how she says some things or think before she speaks; but otherwise she is hilarious. She also told the truth and said it was difficult for her when Kim and Sheree would not talk to her. She didn’t act like it didn’t hurt her feelings. Moreover, I was moved when her husband had to let them all know to grow up and see the real picture. The petty issues were not even worth the broken friendships. He really touched me with that one.
One more thing, the ladies aren’t low class at all. They didn’t claim to be the richest people in the world. Also for the gentleman Eubanks who said the Orange County women were better; then explain this to me.

I don’t think this show they way it’s been going. We need more positive role models for black women. I think Deshawn and Lisa are positive role models. I like the fact that Lisa is a business women, wife and mother and making positive strides in life. It doesn’t matter where the money comes from it what you do with the money. Deshawn has a foundation and is trying to help other young women. Sheree, to me is too over the top. I saw one episode where she was working on her clothing line and there was a big whole in the rug in her mansion. It she’s living so large, why she doesn’t focus on the fundamentals. I think it should have another season with a few new people. Sheree is so FAKE!! OMG how can you sit in the car with someone who you know cant sing and tell them they sound beautiful and feel her head up with reasons she shouldnt like nene just so she can have a friend. KIM is a wannabe. But without the two of them there would be no one to talk about. I don’t think this show they way it’s been going. We need more positive role models for black women. I think Deshawn and Lisa are positive role models. I like the fact that Lisa is a business women, wife and mother and making positive strides in life. It doesn’t matter where the money comes from it what you do with the money. Deshawn has a foundation and is trying to help other young women. Sheree, to me is too over the top. I saw one episode where she was working on her clothing line and there was a big whole in the rug in her mansion. It she’s living so large, why she doesn’t focus on the fundamentals. Some recent stuff I’ve heard about the ladies on the show—Kim actually is 29 despite looking like an old hag (people checked her DMV records) which means she had a kid when she was 18. Sheree had a kid when she was 15 but she tries to hide it and in an Essence photo, the daughter was listed as a friend. NeNe used to be a stripper.

What does she do for a living besides call big papa, and whoever the heck he is he should be ashamed even more, for bank rolling her extravagance. Kim you betrayed your friend because you couldn’t except the truth, then ran to someone who is just a shallow as you! First of all, to “Braon” who’s reconsidering moving to Atlanta after watching this show, do us all a favor and stay where you are. We don’t need anyone else causing our traffic problems to be any worse than they are, so STAY AWAY! We are full! Now on to the show: Lisa is fake, if there is a second season, her true colors will be revealed. Kim is tired, uneducated, scary and a liar. I noticed in the preview clip that Sheree was awfully quiet when NeNe was going OFF on Kim! Why wasn’t she talking all that smack like she was on camera, It’s because she’s scared that’s why and she didn’t want to be next!
To those of you who think that this show is low class and ghetto, then STOP WATCHING! You seem to know enough about the show to blog your opinions week after week so what does that say about you??? It says you’re hypocrites. It’s entertainment, if you put REAL Atlanta housewives on this show, it wouldn’t be interesting enough to get ratings.

Deshawn at first I was skeptical but by last night I love you too! You and Eric have a great relationship. I wished we could have seen more of that. I really liked the Real Housewives of Atlanta. It was very entertaining to me, because it is so over the top. I would not mind another season. Some of these comments on this site are so ridiculous though. You do not have to like the show, that is your right and even the right to voice your opinion. But my goodness. What is wrong with coming from the Ghetto. As long as you do not stay there forever I think you did pretty well. We have to start putting people down based upon their income. Stop HATING so much! In the same sentence that some claim these ladies come from the Ghetto, they chastise them for marrying a wealthy person. What is wrong with that? Would you rather for them to stay in the Ghetto, in stead of bettering their life, whether it be by marrying rich. Black, white, yellow, red, purple, blue whatever, most females want financial security and would not even look at a man if he does not have some kind of steady income. The more money, the better. So stop hating and being jealous. These ladies do not represent Atlanta, nor make Atlanta look bad. They represent themselves and we got a look into their lives, how tasteless or ridiculous it might seem sometimes. Again, I loved the show, I do not take it too serious, and hope for more episodes. About the characters; NENE, she is a trip, loud, opnoxious, but her husband keeps her grounded, so she can keep it real. She married a nice older Southern gentleman, and is hopefully praising the Lord every day for her blessing, because without him, I do not know…. LISA, the most real like person in the show. I like her independent spirit, she has gone through a divorce with a celebrity before, so she knows you better have a plan B, C and so on. Deshawn, I think she is sweet and trying to do the right thing. My advice for her would be to cut down on some expenses, and save for a rainy day. KIM, In the beginning, I thought, she was a real friend of NENE, but it seems like she is very immature and not very smart. She knows she needs a man for financial support and she will find another sucker. SHEREE, I do not think she is a happy person. She is insecure, and it makes her feel good to look down on others and talk about people, to forget her misery. I hope that her clothing line works out, she has potential to be a beautiful person on the inside if she gets rid of that negative side of hers and thinks less of herself.

They have had their 15 minutes of fame. It’s time to move on. None of them deserve any more time. We saw no parenting skills, no housekeeping skills, no business acumen, and no friendship skills that anyone would want to emulate. Simply stated, all four women have major issues that render them as examples on many levels of what NOT to enulate or admire. BUT, let’s talk about their men. I vote for Gregg as the best of the best. He has been supportive, he lstens, he loves unconditionally, and he and he alone reconciled the women at the last dinner. Ed is kind to Lisa nd supportive but seems to join in with the girl drama. Eric came across as very nice and supportive, as well. In all, these three seemed to be class acts and the best thing these three women have going for them is their men. As for Bob Whitfield, what took you so long to move on? But again, he was supportive of his bitter Ex in coming to her Non-fashion show. Finally as far as Big Poppa, are you just stupid? AS the country sond sates “What were you thinking”.

It’s funny to me as a man to read all the ugly things that are said about this show. If the role was flipped and our life was put on for the public to view some of the same things or worse would be said about us. We are no better. Every woman has a least one characteristic of someone from the show. if some you had the money they possess you’d probably be a bigger fool than the one you comment about. I am willing to bet my paycheck that more than one person on this blog has a more screwed up life and attitude than some of the women on that show. This is entertainment and they got their 15 minutes of fame plus more. For the brainless who thinks these type of women are only in the ATL. get a life and take a trip. They’re all over the world. We spend way too much time worrying about what someone else does rather than putting our own imprint into the world in a positive way. Tela Girl, agreed. This is show is JUST GOOD TV ENTERTAINMENT. Last nights highlight was NeNes husband stepping in after his wife said what she had to say and he summed it up like a real man/husband that obviously loves his wife would do. His statement LET A STUMBLING BLOCK BECOME A STEPPIN STONE great! Advice! Solidified her point and brought the party back to a positive mood. That statement took the show to having a real value factor.
I’ve decided that Lisa is the real culprit of the ruins of relationships. She told that NeNe was making fun of Kim’s singing. She could’ve told it in a jokingly way but she did so in a gossip back biting way. And NeNe made it clear that outside of joking that if she had something to share with anyone: good or bad, she would say it personally. Not whisper in some ones ear like a 12 year old.
Wow, I hate to see the season end. It was this show and the 18+ months of presidential campaigning that had my TV on only. Its back to my laptop and working 24/7. The Real Housewives of Atlanta was/is great television entertainment!!! Now Im hoping that the reunion show ends on a good note. Although the previews seem tempered. Dont want to have these ladies appear to be like the finding love on a reality TV types. They are far better and grown women with messy stuff and situations, sometimes.

How in the world can Kim…with her “$9.99 beauty supply store wig” call NeNe a drag queen? Sheree with her veneer wearing self does a lot of talking but could never be woman enough to stand up and speak her mind. The only reason Kim and Sheree get along is because they enjoy one another boosting their egos by telling themselves how beautiful they are. How is Sheree by the way a success…sweetie you are living off your exhusband’s money. Lisa I knew was the one that started the drama and then tried to play both fields. NeNe girl keep it real! I must admit I am not a fan but I have followed the season. I actually think it would be good to bring it back so that the show can redeem itself. I would definitely watch it again in the future.

Kim does not “work” as in goes to a real job. Kim is a “kept woman”. That is just a southern way of being polite when you don’t want to use the word “hooker”. Kim also cannot sing; smoker or non-smoker has nothing to do with it. She is horrible when she sings. Dallas has tried in so many ways to let her know and she won’t take the hint. Sheree has a horrible attitude and will never be happy until she is happy with herself. Lisa and DeShawn really try to keep things real. I have say that NeNe is the only one being true to the cameras 24/7. Keep it real NeNe.

I recently moved to Atlanta and after living here for several years I have encountered true successful, intelligent,classy black women. Some of these women do not posse any of those qualities. One word WANNA BEs. I noticed Sheree and Kim to be real two faced and loves drama. Sheree is too old to be starting mess. The drama was real high school and shouldn’t have escalated as far as it did. Deshawn needs guidance far as how to deal with “New Money”. NeNe kept is real. She pretty much stood by whatever that was said.I look forward to another season but can we get real successul black women. Some of the cast needs to be replaced

We all know that the show is scripted,they did a really good job choosing the women for the show. However,I am opposed to them having Kim on the show when she is not married and she is a poor example of a single Atlanta woman.Its not okay to be with (a anonymous) someone for gifts and money.Especially,being a single mother of 2,not a good look. Nene,has represented ATL in a real way because she is not ashamed,stuck up,or fake.She carries herself well and brings life to a dead scene.She is not petty,she doesn’t go around calling names like a 3rd grader.She enjoys spending time with her kids,not dreading every minute like Kim did at the aquarium. Lastly,there are some people who do not believe in the abusive relationship between Lisa and her ex. Come on everyone,if you really live in Atlanta its not uncommon for celebs to be ruled into court or jailed…hello Bobby&Whitney fine example(meaning what records you think are private become public knowledge somehow..hint hint..or your spouse works at the jail where they got arrested).

This show should not be continued for another season, it really just joins the ranks of trash reality shows like “I love New York” and “ Flavor of Love”. I guess it gets ratings, because there is an aversion in all of us to see those who are willing to make fools of themselves on National TV. The housewives are clearly lower to middle class individuals who lucked up on some money. They live in the nice houses, but just bought the proof of their upbringing with them.

Their lives imitate art. It is so fulfilling to see women who introduced themselves to society as the classiest Atlanta had to offer by showing them with the worst attitudes. However their lives are rather plain and modest. If it werent for Final Cut Pro 5.0 we wouldn’t have the energy to watch all of their boring live bring a story forth. The drama is the only thing keeping the show on the air. The networks are making a plot to keep audience participation because they have invested millions on this and so have the endorsers and advertisers. Honestly, you can see more of them at Phipps Plaza holiday season! Obviously most of the viewers are hasbians and look forward to watching other fall apart on a National television production. I find the show boring. I know Atlanta like the back of my hand so when I see them do field trips for tapings it makes me laugh. None of the women are real socialites. They have not ties to Politics or real Socialites of Atlanta! I wish them luck with the rest of their lives though. It will be a hard comeback if the whole world only see’s the edited version of your lives. You will be labled and dishonoured in Atlanta society! We all know if you even had eye contact with a total stranger you would snub your nose and be too good to even throw an A sign up or down at folks! In closing I think they should name the second season “The Real Rotten Houswives of Atlanta. Life is the pitts!” LOL

Hey Folks, I am live in the ATL by way of Jersey … I have mixed feelings about the show. I was very impressed with Lisa,her husband, their relationship and how they work together in the business world. Sheree or Sherry however you want to say it .. is a hot mess. Because you can tell that she did not come from money and/or culture and she is just fronting all of the high society life. And if she kept her kids up as well as she keeps herself than maybe her daughter would not have those out dated beads in her hair (poor thing). Now Ne’Ne” is cool, she is really trying to reinvent herself and is good at keeping it real. I would say that if she opened her event to some to the “regular” folks then she would have received even more money for her foundation - which is a great cause. Keep up the good work NeNe. Kim I have no words for because she is a fake chick with real diamonds. She does not seem to be a good mom, she is too busy trying to be a singer but is not welling to do what you have to do to get their. Oh and DeShawn, I was so glad to see her remember where she and Eric from came on the last episode because before that, I was under the impression that she just wanted to spend Eric’s money. But great job DeShawn and keep doing what you are doing!

You guys have truly built a life together and I admire that. To Lisa, I say sometime we have to support our men and their decisions even if we don’t agree. There are more housewives than the ones in Orange County and New York and it is good to see how other houswives carry themselves. Wow….after reading some of these postings, I agree with most of them. I am also an Atlanta native and while this show has been somewhat entertaining to watch, it has also been VERY embarassing! True Atlanta women are Very Southern, very ladylike, don’t cuss in mixed company, don’t flaunt their money, (this is considered tacky) are educated and have class. There is nothing like a TRUE Southern woman from Atlanta! We are the cream of the crop and that’s it! These women, uhhh, NOT! Like I said before, your 15 minutes is UP! Good luck walking down the street in ATL. What fools you have all made of yourselves! I am not a hater, not by a long shot, but I am VERY embarrased for the “Atlanta Housewife” The only advice I can give Kim is this: Find a good stylist, stop smoking, cover the twins up and PLEASE try to set a better example for your two children.I don’t care how old you are or if you can sing or not, what bothers me is what your lifestyle is doing to your girls. I don’t think the show deserves a 2nd season. This was such a poor representation of rich black women in ATL. Sheree & Kim belong together, neither one is married and they don’t do anything. Sheree’s fashionless fashion show was a joke on her, how dumb. Nene, Deshawn & Lisa are real, Lisa with her businesses, Nene & Deshawn with the worthwhile organizations. I’m glad it’s over!!!

they should replace sheree or Sherry (whatever her name is), she is boring and just plain fake and superficial. Kim needs to know that Sherry is more like the drag queen than NeNe is. Sherry lied to her and told her she could sing when even Dallas had to admit she cannot sing. Sherri serves no purpose..she is fake and I believe that her jealousy of NeNe and Lisa is because of their sucessful marriages, looks, and realness is likeable… as she comes off as someone who is bitter and miserable. I was appalled that she expects 7 figures in the divorce as if money is the end all. Reality will set in. I have a relative that divorced a football player and honey..it is not that serious..the money will not flow like that. stop fronting. I hate the portrayal of her, because unlike Lisa, she seems to pay little attention to her kids, who look unkept and nothing like the pretense she portrays. she wants to portray a fashion diva image and have a fashion line but the kids looked and dressed homeless. SHe needs to know that your children represent you. They could be cute if she manicured and pampered them more. she seemed so bored when greeting and relating to them. yulk! I’ve watched Real Housewives of Orange County, NYC, and now Atlanta. I dont really see the big difference between the cities and why everyone has been so hard on the Atlanta women. The MOST of the women that have appeared on these shows got their money from their husbands/boyfriends with I think the exception of one lady in OC and one lady in NYC. Each location has a loud one, a career driven one, a gold digger, the one that you dont really know what job she has,the one you love to hate, and/ or one that is a combination.
So I think the people that dont want to move to atlanta because they think that is just crazy. Orange County, NYC, and Atlanta have more to offer than those women. It is Entertainment and leave it at that.
BTW- I agree with those that say that Kim needs to get her wig fixed.

Y’all, there is not a person out there with a brain who thinks that these women are typical Atlantans. Don’t get all worked up about Atlanta being misrepresented to the country.
These women are good TV and I for one cannot wait to see next week’s show. It cracked me up when I saw the clip of Lisa climbing into NeNe’s lap to keep her off Kim (who is nothing but trash). NeNe, Lisa and DeShawn have good hearts. I have nothing good to say about that phony Sheree and that hooker Kim who can’t even carry a tune!!!

All of this commentary proves that BRAVO is doing a great job at “reality” tv. These are show’s meant to draw in viewers and ignite conversation.

I love this show! Not because the characters are so classy and lady like, because they are not. The show is entertaining. Can’t wait till next season. I also can not believe some of these comments. If you guys do not like the show, don’t watch it. But you guys are just as pretensious as these ladies, act like you do not like the show, are embarrased, but can not wait to watch the next episode. What about all the love for Nene. She is the least classy of all. She does not know how to act in public, is rude to waiters, gets drunk and talks to much, and God knows she used to be a stripper herself. But you guys say, she keeps it real. Yeah! Keeps it real funny to say the most, but she is real clueless, can not even help her kids with homework, has no class, embarrases her sons. No I would not want her as my friend, to go party maybe, that would be the extend. The other characters need serious help too.

These are 5 women struggling for happiness amid the rental cars, homes, clothing lines, foundations. They are not friends and probably will never be friends.

I finally watched the show for the first time last night and now I see why people down this show. the white chick looks and sounds like Trailer Trash. Even on TV her make-up looks cheap and thick. NeNe is just ghetto fabulous. Pursuing who her father is after all these years. Her big grown ass need to do some work on her skin and that shabby ass weave hairdo. These women do not represent the real Housewives or WOMEN of Atlanta. The women here are known for their hair, makeup, nails, their sense of self-worth. The only 2 that were real were Lisa Wu and Sheree (flamboyant, but keeping it real, showing off that she has got it like that.) Season 2, doubt it!

We all know that Reality television has the potential to turn its participants into national celebrities, at least for a short period. Often “plots” are constructed via editing or planned situations, with the results resembling soap operas — who have done nothing to warrant their newfound fame. We all know that Reality television has become such an integral part of television and our culture.
Without repeating the previous comments, I totally agree with Renee, OOOWWEE, Elaine, and RHWOA.
To: kchat24 “We thought the same thing” :) I actually compared the characters. To me *Lauri, Bethenny, and Kim where all the same. Lauri married a wealthy man, Bethenny wanted to get married, and Kim was much like Lauri….waiting for her come up.
*Vicki, Romona, and NeNe had similar personalities. All seemed a bit louder than the other wives, and had a more need to be seen and heard.
*Tamra, Alex, and Sheree all seem to want to be more than what they were.
*Tammy K (was replaced with Gretchen for session 4) Jill, and Lisa all seemed to be extremely busy women with an enviable social calendar.

I started watching ATL Housewives after a lot of peer pressuring from a friend of mine. I think that it was a horrible depiction of women who reside in Atlanta. I also feel that all those comments about how women in ATL lack class and “opulence” (I think that was the word that misfit used) wreaks of insecurity. First of all I am an atlanta native and more than 95% of the individuals who reside here…are from somewhere else (Chicago perhaps). So I have an issue with naming a show after a city, if the individuals in it are not from the city they are representing. But that’s just me…ciao.

You know the old school-moneyed socialites of Atlanta would be a boring show but I have enjoyed the real housewives of atlanta. I wonder what Kim has learned about friendship and of Sheree’s motives. To this minute I believe Sheree was hoping that Kim would introduce her to her Big Poppa. I can respect NeNe because what you see is what you get, honest, and up front. Anyway, back to Sheree, I just can’t take any person using the work axe in place of ask as serious, I just can’t. Do I want to live these womens lives, no. Am I jealous, no. Is this ish funny, funny as hell. Does a purse make me who I am or anyone else for that matter, no. Do material possessions make me important, no. NeNe and Lisa appear less superficial but NeNe really seems to enjoy life and living.

I think they should replace Kim and bring someone else on to get the chemistry and plot going.

OK, the show was “entertaining” for a quick minute, and I totally agree we do not need another season of the housewives. ToMiss A; I also attend a mega-church here in the ATL, and I promise you that you don’t have to write a $15,000 check to see your Pastor or Bishop.Additionally where someone chooses to worship is their own business; whether it’s a church with 100 members or 40,000 members.

it’s a pathetic commentary on all our butts that we even watched this show for more than 5 minutes. when i accidentally stumbled upon the show, searching for something like Nova or another educational program that will actually teach me something, I found myself in quiet contemplation - and also pity - about the characters… or should i say “caricatures”…. b/c they are cartoon characters! It’s called “Looney Tunes” !! Yeah, Bravo knows exactly what they’re doing… they know we’ll fall for this crap hook, line and sinker. it’s human nature to scoff or gloat at another’s misfortune or ignorance and that’s really all the intrinsic value this show provides. it at best allows us to be part of the ‘humna condition’ and feel glib in the fact that ‘we are better than those on the show’… it’s a testament to basic Social Psych 101… like people who stood by and watched the woman Kitty Genovese get stabbed to death in Queens in 1968 and never made a move to help her or call the police. this is the same: we all stand by and watch these pathetic women make utter fools of themselves, while in the name of “entertainment”, watch them sabotage their own integrities for our own pathological curiosities and all the while they are getting richer for portraying “housweives” [I thought that word meant you actually stay home, raise your children, take them to soccer games, go to PTA meetings, provide meals on time for them, tuck them in, and have a husband who works! — where are the “husbands” of Sheree and Kim? Yes, I would watch a second season - it’s like a train wreck you can’t turn away from. HOWEVER, I feel that the show does little to help most of the country’s negative impression of Atlanta or its stereotypes about the south. I know it’s important to chose “characters” who have personality but give me a break! Only the Atlanta cast could turn a Reunion show into a WWE match! I have several friends who are fortunate enough not to have to work outside the home. They were just plain embarassed at Bravo’s potrayal of Atlanta Housewives.

Why aren’t Lisa and NeNe mad at Sheree? They need to come down on her as hard, if not harder, than they have on Kim. That would be it…NeNe and Sheree, the fight of the century! Also, why doesn’t Sheree have her children in private school instead of Fulton County public schools? The school her daughter attends is a school of excellence but it is still a “public” school. And, according to Sheree, she doesn’t like “riff raff”. I must admit, she does let her daughter take classes from the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education. This is one of the places you will see those who try to be the “Atlanta Black Elite” take their daughters for ballet lessons. However, she will find her “Michael Strahan”…some poor fool who will marry her without a pre-nup or with a pre-nup giving her everything, who she will divorce in a couple of years and get her “seven figures”. She has a lot of Atlanta area ex-wives hanging with her, as part of her crew, hating on their ex-husbands, trying to look down their noses at others…

I must admit that I was embarrassed that these ladies represented Atlanta. BUT! I couldn’t stop watching the show. Ne Ne is and will continue to be my girl. I wish her the best. I’m sure I’m going to get negative feedback about my statement but when you have a group of women together, usually, a cat fight will ensue. It doesn’t matter where you live. Did anybody else get it when NeNe said Brice had to buy his own vehicle. So, it appears liek she did not buy him that truck just set it up for the cameras, but then Brice, a college student, is actually responsible for paying for it. That’s what I interpreted that whole mess as.
Geesh, she could have got him something older and smaller. A college student just needs transportation, not having to worry about a huge car note and tuition too. “How very small of her.”

I think the show from what I saw , was a good reflection of the male and female dynamic here in the ATL, a man with $$$$ can have anyone he wants does not matter what he looks like or thinks, and as long as you got a little T&A, boo you can go a long way in the ATL.

Actually, Eric loves DeShawn…she doesn’t have to worry about him with a woman on the side. However, all of them need to worry about their men around Sheree. Sheree and her groupies are adept at “digging for gold”. She has an ex-wives club with more members joining…She recruits the women at her daughter’s school and her extracurricular actitivies. She also has her sights on a certain person who recently built a studio in SW ATL, executives at AT&T, Coca-Cola, Delta and the ex-CEO of Dekalb.

Just thinking about the sweet moments of this past season brings a big smile to my face and the final two shows have been pure gold: Kim’s “singing”, Kim’s wig, Kim’s Guacamolephobia, Kim’s K.A.T, Sheree’s monstrously pathological ego and “fashion” “designing” (can anybody point out to me ANYTHING that she actually did that related to “designing” “fashion”??, Nene’s (LOVE you Nene) amazing queeny friend, and the list goes on and on.
Like everyone else I can’t wait for the reunion show which looks to be the cherry on top of this amazing schadenfrude sundae. I’m a little worried that w/o Big Poppa, Kim (the clear star of the show) will be history but I’ve got faith in that plucky little hooker. Keep up the fan-friggin-tastic work Bravo. Bravo!

I thought the Housewives of OC were fake and superficial but the Atlanta women make the OC Housewives look like aristocrats! And why the obesssion with showing their cleavage all the time? Is this a Bravo prerequisite to being on these shows? I realize that true socialites from any city would a) not participate in such a show and b) would be too normal and classy to attract viewers but these women do not represent Atlanta Housewives. Like so many other bloggers say it is a train wreck but you get hooked because they are so sad it is funny. Kim is probably the lowest class of them all, and Lisa the most serious. Fellow bloggers, some of us are taking this too seriously. It’s only a TV show and for entertainment purposes. Heck, we have folks on here stating that they no longer plan to move to Atlanta because of the show, now that just plain ole silly. When I watched the “New York” show, it did not sway my opinion about NY women one way or the other. Don’t take it too seriously. I just enjoyed seeing the homes in Atlanta and the eatery that exists.

I’ve never watched Real Housewives until I saw this season in Atlanta, and I must say - it is VERY entertaining. At first when I watched the show I had an uneasy feeling about the way the African-American women were being depicted. However, once I put it into perspective - I realized the show does what it is supposed to do. Television shows (especially reality shows) usually have one objective - to entertain. Sometimes they inform, other times they inspire, but mainly to entertain. To all the successful, educated, and together women (housewife or single of Atlanta) do not internalize the show. They never claim to be speaking on behalf of you…most people who watch the show have enough intelligence and context to realize these women do not represent every single black (or in Kim’s case white) housewife/women with new money. Take the show for what it is…a good laugh. And so is this commentary - some of these posts are a TRIP! And if you don’t like the show, don’t watch it. You can take your stance by not watching the show and not writing on the blogs of people that do. Seriously…that’s what I plan on doing for DL Hughley’s show on CNN - what the hell is that crap!

Why do so-called rich women have the worst weaves and wigs? I hope Dwight didn’t do NeNe’s weave because if he is an elite hairstylist, he is doing a poor job. There are hairdressers in Atlanta who can do a weave and have everyone believing it is the person’s real hair. At least with DeShawn, she is showing some of her real hair and keeps it curled. She just has too much hair added to look natural. Sheree has pieces added to the back at times but it looks natural. Kim needs to get a better wig and go with a darker blonde instead of the platinum blond color. Chemo can weaken hair and it isn’t good to put the additional stress of a weave on it.

It’s entertainment, pure and simple. The network would be crazy not to capitalize on the momentum of RHOA. No one is keeping anything real on that show, they all are on camera and know it. We need to keep it real and not get caught up in their TV drama. Because in life we will have NeNe’s and Kim’s, but also in life, we can choose not to include them “in” our lives. TV like the internet should be kept mentally at arms length or more for those who allow it to seep into our psyches and make us feel that reality TV is really REALITY. Add more women to it, you’ll just add more drama and more endless comments like the one I wrote and all the rest… See them on the Emmys!

**THATS ENTERTAINMENT**Its just one show on Bravo. It doesnt reflect you or Atlanta anymore than FlavaFlav, or Friends or event the Cosby Show reflects upon you or this city. Stop the SELF-HATRED, enjoy the show for what it is!

I really enjoy watching the show! It is very entertaining and fun to watch. My family, friends and I are looking forward to watching the reunion show next week.
I would like to see a spin off with NeNe and her interactions, especially with her husband Greg, Dwight, and more about her Battered Women’s group. She was really the star of the show and my favorite “housewife.”
I think Lisa cleverly stirred up the mess, and is transparent (gold digger). I like DaShawn, she is a good “Christian,” sweet and naive. I would like to see Kim’s “Big Poppa.” I believe Sheree is shallow, insecure, materialistic, and jealous of NeNe. Kudos to BRAVO for bringing diversity to the Housewives Series. I also plan to watch Orange county this time, but I did not watch them before.

I just want to know who “Big Papa” is, and was he married. What type of business is NeNe husband in? The show was cool, I just found out that Lisa has children by K-Sweat, why didn’t she talk about them? She use to be real good friends with a Detroit Diva. Kim can’t sing, but she was cool. I hate that Kim kids adored NeNe to where the fallout will probably have an effect of that. It was good to see 4 black women spend money like the blonds they show on television. But, that is really the life of ballers wivies (sports). A coworker of mines sister was married to a football player in New York, and she said her sister couldn’t take how ghetto and rude some of the young wives were. Money shouldn’t have meant turn nasty and rude, but that was their MO. Ne Ne was ghetto, but she kept it real, but I think she had some underlying issues. Sheree, was a bit much for me, didn’t really care for her. I can’t wait to see the Reunion show, and I really hope Kim doesn’t have cancer, and if she does, I hope she beats it, don’t like to hear about anyone with cancer, today is the year my young sista friend passed away of it. I don’t blame Keith Sweat one bit for not signing off for his sons to be in this show…they have to be embarrassed enough as it is.
I saw bits of show and shook my head These women put ATL in a bad spotlight. but then again, so this the prior “Real” housewives shows. And with the way the economy is going at the moment, damm the bling! That’s what’s got us in this deep dog s**t in the first place!

I was surprised that I looked forwarded to watching the show. I agree with most of the comments about this being an embarrassment to Atlanta and especial real Moms. NeNe was favorite of them all. She is down to earth and obviously having a good time. I like that about her. She’s a bit rough around the edges, but that’s okay…because she never once faked it! Sheree and Kim are covering their wounds with material things. They said Nene was very sad and empty inside, but I think they are the ones that are sad and in desperate need of love. If they could take a few minutes to stop thinking of themselves, maybe they should spend some quality time with NeNe to find out her secret to keeping a man!

I don’t feel The City of Atlanta should be judged by what happened on a semi-reality show.I liked NeNe and her friend Dwight the most.
Kim is too dumb to see how Sheree played her against NeNe. Sheree is not a friend to anyone,she hates Kim just as much as she hates NeNe.Kim don’t like Sheree either but I think for whatever reason Kim thought she was her friend,both are very insecure women and I used that term modestly.
I like Lisa although at times she seemed messy.DeShawn is clueless and hasn’t accomplished anything though she love to describe herself as an “elite” person,but her need to do that only mask the insecurity of an overweight woman enticed by “things”.

Again, all of these women are classless. I can’t believe DeShawn went to college. NeNe is keeping it real, real Ghetto! She is loud and will fight in a minute. Why would she ever pretend she has class. Lisa is a Gold Digger just like Sheree. Lisa pretends like she likes her husband. I was disappointed in this show, but nonetheless I have watched several episodes. The housewife that irks me the most is NeNe. She is too attractive on the outside to be so ugly on the inside. She needs a personality makeover and some class. The episode when she sang that ignorant song was not taken out of context, but was inappropriate if her and Kim were friends. She seems to be insecure and appears to have a drinking problem. It’s obvious that she is seeking fame but why would anyone want that type of notoriety?
I was impressed with Sheree’s character and her style. Plus she is also beautiful. She may not have any business sense yet, but she has the drive and the beauty to succeed.
I wouldn’t look twice at NeNe except to laugh about how terrible her wig/weave looks. Gregg, please have her do something with that hair or get her a new cosmetologist.

OMG! This was my first time watching a season of “The Real Housewives” and I thought it was hilarious although in some instances it degraded black women and made it seem like we don’t know how to manage money properly but I thought it was great. As for the women I enjoyed NeNe the most because she was refreshingly honest, blunt and straight to the point! She is a type of friend that should be cherished because in a world were 90% are fake and phony it’s hard to find someone that will be a real friend so koodos to NeNe! Lisa was okay I don’t really know about her except that her husband has a tight ass and she need to get on that pole to keep him j/p. Sheree…what’s with her thinking that people are envious of her successes? What has she done she didn’t work didn’t seem like she was a mother to her children and all she did was spend her husbands (ex-husbands) money on ugly ass shoes I mean seriously accomplish something before you leave your house believing that anyone is jealous of you! Deshawn, she seems like she’s trying to keep up with the Joneses and how you gone be a mother and don’t know how to cook I mean really get it together. Finally Kim, can’t really say anything that everyone else hasn’t already said so that’s that. Make another season because it was damn entertaining:=)

She also seems to have a secure relationship with her husband and children because they talk about everything. Sheree and Kim are very fake people and we should all pity them for being lonely sad women whom everyone pretends to like. Shawn is the most simple-minded and annoying of the bunch, but I give her credit for truly living the good life. My advice for her is one word Treadmill. She also should stop talking about food so much. Lisa is really a sad case as well. She seems very insecure about her man not being in her sight at every moment…even if it means he will be bringing home the bacon….Lord knows they need it! Her baby is adorable (does she lock her other kids in the dungeon?), and her husband has a glorious body snaps. She might want to watch that….. All-in-all, if these “want to be divas” would like to embarrass themselves for another season, I wish them luck. I like a good laugh, so I will defiantly be watching!

Another season of Kim and Sheree?? If you bring on women who have some class maybe a second season. To me NeNe, Lisa and DeShawn are real. Sheree and Kim are fake. They belong together. How would Kim have felt if her name were left off the party list that Sheree had. Sheree did not even have the manners to come out and straighten it out herself. If the tables were turn and it was Kim, would they be a friendship. I don’t think so. Please Kim go get a real life. Big Papa, you use people Kim for your own satisfaction. Sheree only made a living off her husband. Please they both make me sick.

This show is hilarious. These women really have no class, except for Lisa. I do think that Ne Ne keeps it real and that’s the ony reason I like her. She and Lisa are really s beautiful, all the others are a hot mess. Does DeShawn Snow have any hair of her own?:):):) Her head looks like it weighs a ton with all that weave. DeShawn Snow is a wanna be and the only reason anyone in ATL even talks with her is because she is married to a baller. She would not make it anywhere else if she wasn’t. She is so fake. People with money do not always talk about it. Now Kim is just a kept woman sho has no idea what is really going on in the world. Dallas Austin tried to tell her nicely that she could not sing, and I’m sure he is not gonna waste anymore time with her unless he just wants too line his pockets with Big Poppas money..That was a joke. Kim, YOU CANNOT SING.PERIOD!!!!! Sheree is a real hooch. She says at the beginning of the show that everyone is jealous of her success. What does she do except soak up all the “you’re so beautiful ” comments that Kim tells her. She is not attractive, she has no job, lives off of her ex husband, which will proably only last another few years until those kids are 18. She is not a fashion designer and will never be. These people telling her she has all these great ideas just wanted a chance to be on TV.
All of these ladies are ridiculous. Chefs??? That’s a joke. Black women know how too cook and none of them grew up rich so I know that had to do it at some points in their lives.
If the show continues,I’d like to see some real classy women from Atlanta who make real things happen everyday.

I have one more thing to say about this show. Listen girls, I am all for good entertainment, juicy dialouge, cat fights, all that. My problem is this: Over the past few weeks it has become VERY disturbing to see these kids being neglected. I am talking about Kim’s kids. I know we don’t see her with them when the camera’s are off, but my Lord, if she’s parenting like that on TV, what the hell is she doing off camera? Seriously, what is her malfunction? Does she not know about second hand smoke and that it causes cancer in people that are around it? Her oldest daughter is watching her drink ALL THE TIME, she is glorifying smoking and drinking and being a kept woman. All the out of control spending, no responsible parent would behave this way. What is going to happen when she get’s out of school and starts her own life? Who is going to support her? Buy her LV handbags and spend 18,000 on her Bday? This child is going to hit a brick wall very soon if somebody does not explain to her the ways of the REAL WORLD! Kim, you should be ASHAMED of yourself! You are damaging your children and robbing them of a realistic and secure upbringing. You are only financially sound as long as your looks hold up. What’s after that? What will you do then? Sing? Oh please. Wake up sister! You are dreaming. We’d all like to be a country singer and be famous and wealthy, but it’s just not in the cards for you sweetie! Get yourself and your kids in church, start representing yourself as a strong, independent, self reliant individual and set a good example for your girls! If not, you’ll ruin them Kim!

Seriously, I know there are women of the ATL using brain power as scientists, authors, psychologists, medical and legal professionals, environmentalists, community organizers, advocates for children or true victims of unfortunate circumstances, professors/teachers, volunteers, bookstore owners, researchers, law makwers, etc. - of varied races and backgrounds. I just wonder why these five were selected. Sheree claims that people are intimidated by her success. Really? Why would they be? If she’d done anything that benefitted something besides her own ego, women like me would be glad to celebrate her success. Besides, if you’tre truly happy with yourself, it’s very hard to focus on dissension, much hard to have a hand in creating it. I’m not trying to be mean, but I think her bravado may mask certain insecurities that have nothing to do with physical aspects, or being comfortable in her skin. A therapy session might be helpful.
In my opinion, NeNe rocks. Her persona is at times abrasive, but she doesn’t seem to be playing dress up. I get the feeling she could help a lot of people given the opportunity to share her background. 2nd favorite is Kim. Mykael check’d Sheree really good and she needs that every so often. Got to love her (she never lets you see her sweat) but who is the real Sheree? Behind the mask! Nobody feels that fab all the time…I don’t believe the hype. Kim is a hustla…bottom line! and NeNe is real…she could use some refining. Mrs. Snow is nice, but needs to learn to relax. I don’t care, I loved the show and wish they do have a second season. NeNe, gurl, you are wonderful and I wish I had a friend like you and you have a wonderful family. Tell it like it is! DeShawn and Lisa you seem like very nice people too. Sheree, in my opinion, needs to grow up and try to figure what she really wants. You don’t seem like a trusting person. Kim has serious problems. Take her off of the show and put another sister in her place. The producers knew exactly what they were doing to bring Kim in the mix. I hate to say it but its hard dealing with a white woman in a group of black women, especially if we haven’t known you a very long time. Anyway, Kim is too fake for me and the way she is raising her children is just sad. I hope and pray they don’t give her any trouble when they turn into teenagers because girls usually do and if you don’t have a strong hold on them things get pretty crazy.

You guys need to stop. This show is too much, but I do enjoy it though. I would not mind another season. Nene is a trouble maker. She is the on that started the mess. First she pretends to be Kims friend. Kim stood behind her when she was not on the guest list for Sheree’s party. Nene could have gotton of her high horse and accepted the apology from Sheree’s publicist, but oh no she had to make a big deal of it. So what, she was not on the list, get over it. Then Nene gets jealous because Kim starts to hang out with Sheree, she is the one that did not show up to go to the spa. She was wrong for ridiculing Kim when she was not around. I would have had respect for her if she had said it to Kim’s face. Then she has the nerve to get mad at Sheree and Lisa for telling Kim. She is the type that thinks she can act like a fool, talk about folks, but do not dare to insult her. She is too good for that. She is as Ghetto as it gets, former stripper, acoholic, superficial and dumn. She is a super low class country girl. Kim is no hero either. She can not sing, but as a lot of us do, and go on these talent shows thinking they are a superstar, she came to the realization that she needs some major help or really is beyond help . She is another gold digger, just like Nene, but has more class that loud mouth Nene. Sheree is an idiot. Nobody ever heard about her, what is there to envy about her? But at least she does not act so ghetto as Nene in public. She is a super gossiper and miserable. Lisa has some class and potential, but another gold digger.It is not her fault that Sheree could not keep her mouth closed, and again the fault is with super Ghetto Nene. Deshawn, God bless her, she is the most normal one of all. I hope she stops spending so much money, because that does not last forever, take it from someone that knows. Overall very entertaining.

I am good friend of Kim’s and it really bothers me to read these comments about her children and how she raises them…Kim’s whole life is her 2 girls. If you notice they are in EVERY episode, wish the others girls could say the same. Kim is always with those girls. She volunteers at there private school and devoted her life to them. Are you serious? NeNe’s having African American women wear large hats was being true to who we as African American women are. Do you go to church? If so, you will see many African American women wearing those same big hats on their head as a symbol of who they are and holding their heads up high. There was absolutley nothing wrong with what she did.

Ok…I have to comment on the reunion show. 1. I was THRILLED to see Kim get called out on EVRYTHING! Watching this show tonight made me so happy! I have been wanting to hear these answers to all the questions that were asked and I did! Has my opinion changed regarding Kim? Hell No! I was right on the money! She is so sad and I really struggle to being able to take her seriously!…Oh my!! Will somebody PLEASE wake this woman up! Kim, PLEASE pull back from the limelight and focus on yourself and more importantly, your girls. You are THE EXAMPLE for them. You know they will get teased at school for all of this negitive press on you and your affair with a married man. Have some respect for yourself woman! I actually started feeling sorry for Kim in the end. It seemed like she was getting gained up on and of course, SHEREE NEVER HELPED HER OUT OR TOOK UP FOR HER! NICE!!!! I love this show can’t wait til next season,Watched the finale, (WHOW WHEEE) NeNe and Lisa are my favorite, NeNe doesn’t bite her tongue and Lisa works for her money, All these women are unique in their own way that’s what makes this show so good,Dewight, you are so grand, and cool, like your style:), (gotta love him), even through the fighting and bickering, all these women have done something to better themselves, hats off ladies:)

Kim, congratulations. You were the only white person in that show. So you know you were picked on the most by the the other ugly Lisa And NeNe. However , you were the most beautiful girl in the show hands down. But most of all , You are the only one that behaved like a lady and not like an animal. You did right not to fight those big manly girls. You were born to be a lady not for physical strong work.
