12/4: NeNe Leakes bites back

On the Bravo Web site, NeNe Leakes denies she was evicted. In the email exchanges we had with her Tuesday, she never said she wasn’t evicted and that she left voluntarily. And our story never said she was evicted.
We did say for a fact she left the house and that there was an eviction notice placed on the house because her husband hadn’t been paying the rent. That eviction notice is real and a fact. If they did leave on their own accord, why did they fall behind in the rent? That is left unanswered.
Anyway, here is what she says:
“The recent rumors alleging that my family faced an eviction are a huge misunderstanding and grossly inaccurate. I am truly blessed to enjoy a wonderful life and lifestyle. We have indeed moved to another home, but we did so on our own free will. We live in an absolutely beautiful home and we are fortunate to be able to live in the place of our choice. Unfortunately, there are many families who are facing real foreclosures and real evictions. That is not and never was the case with us. I know where we live and how we live, and for those blessings I am humbly thankful. It is disappointing that many members of the media have chosen to report gossip instead of news. Without wasting time on the details, the only thing I will say is that we were NOT evicted. Everybody knows that I like to be honest, real and upfront. If something was wrong, I would tell you! Thank you for your well wishes. However, please know that my family continues to be abundantly blessed, and that Miss NeNe has not skipped a beat!”
A lot of gossip blogs, not reading our story that carefully, unequivocally said she was evicted. So there ya go. I wish she had been a bit more straightforward with me but such is life. We’ll see how life goes with her when Bravo starts taping season two. (Sure, Bravo hasn’t said it has committed to a season two but that’s a virtual fait accompli.)

NeNe is not just “splitting hairs” based on her Bravo comments, but is not telling the truth. That’s sad, as she was my favorite housewife on the Real Housewives of Atlanta and definitely the most real. She’s married to her husband, who’s name was on their home lease agreement, and they were evicted — I never got a sense from the show that she worked, so it makes sense that it’d be her husband that would have to foot the bills, rent and all. There’s certainly no shame in such things happening, it’s happening to a lot of folks — but not staying true to her image of being real and honest and not hiding a thing? That’s the shameful part.

Love real housewives of Atlanta and I watch it everyday .I got love for NENE and i just think that people should just leave her the hell alone its her family ,her own marriage life and her own personal business. NENE is a DIVA and she will always be a diva no matter where she lives. She has a great personality!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t care about this woman NeNe. I have watched the show and its okay but there are people out here starving and homeless why are these people worried about her so what if she did we all fall on hard times every down fall is a steping stone for what you are really meant to do in life.

NeNe’s opening line was, “I don’t keep up with the Joneses, I am the Joneses”. You’re right to say that people do what they have to do to survive.But when you are evicted from a rental property for unpaid rent,not only have you failed at keeping up with the Joneses, OOOPS!!! I guess someone forgot to tell her she’s not the Joneses. “A fashion show without cloths is just a party.” “A house + unpaid rent= eviction.

NeNe and Greg are two of the biggest fakes in the world. Greg owes his sister$3000 from 5 years ago, has been ducking & dodging her. The oldest son is awaiting trial for sexual assault on a physically challeged female at his former high school, he also is awaiting trial for selling drugs at his high school in his fathers’s car 6/08.

Who in the world cares? Did you all see the house when it was shown, it was practically empty at the time. It was evident to me that something was up then. All in all - I love the entire family and wish them nothing but the best - if they were evicted, put out, whatever - SO WHAT - life didn’t end there. You go Greg, NeNe and Family.

It’s sad the way you sit here and bash all of these ladies. If the truth was told, you would trade your world for theirs in a heartbeat. No one is perfect nor are they claiming perfection. It’s television and if they didn’t embellish their lives then who would watch it. Poor miserable souls.

WOW,people are incredible,they laugh and kick you when you are down,that is too bad.We should be trying to help NeNe and her family instead of talking about them.NeNe is trying to help abused women (BROKEN HEART FOUNDATION)NOW WHY CAN’T SOMEONE HELP HER? Are you people kidding me except for de sawn these woman are all fakes and trash..you have a ex- s**(or s**), a ex “dancer” etc…and who cares if Sheree had some problems when she was younger she still pulled herself together and paid for her house with her husband ..she is not a big mouth bully who lies to people ..come on Ne Ne didn’t even have furniture how in the hell did the producers even find her and the white chick with no talent??? and Lisa Whatever her name is talking about scum-trash..she showed the word her colors at the reunion show..she acted like a cheap w**!
