Is Madonna Hall of Fame worthy?

Longtime Boston Globe music critic Steve Morse, who was a member of the Rock Hall of Fame’s nominating committee for seven years, says he considers Madonna’s induction into the hall this coming Monday an embarrassment. “If you think of rock ‘n’ roll, Madonna is not the first name that comes to mind,” he says.

Madonna is not a rock musician. She is a pop musician. If they want to change the name to the Rock and Pop hall of fame, fine…..otherwise she doesn’t belong there (same with the many other pop artists that have been inducted).

No, no Madonna for RnRHOF. Now, if there’s a HOF somewhere for talentless skanks, she’s in.

No. Madonna’s spent over 25 years shilling out obnoxious techno-pop buffered by narcissism so it appears by her ego alone she’s getting inducted. She ruined “American Pie”—does she even know what it’s about?

If it wasn’t for MTV she would have been forgotten a long time ago. It’s always been about how much she can push the sex not the talent. Imagine taking your 14 year old daughter to one of Madonna’s first concerts and having her display the sex act in various ways. We did and left early. Now she says she doesn’t let her daughter watch TV because of all the sex and violence. What a hypocryte. It’s how she made all of her money.

Oh Gee Whiz!! Madonna in the rock and roll hall of fame?? That is too funny. I think we should nominate Phoebe Buffay for her amazing rendition of “Smelly Cat” next.
