Morning, all. :-)

I’ve never been one to distinguish between what is a “cheap” date and what isn’t. As long as we agree on how we want to spend that time together, I don’t mind paying. Having said that, I do think it is a very special woman who is sensitive to how expensive things are these days and is considerate enough that she at least offers (every now and then) to pitch in to cover some, if not all, of the costs of whatever it is we decide to do. The thing I would be cautious of is her developing an “expectant” attitude, meaning that she began to assume that I would pay for everything, regardless of cost or frequency. Even if I don’t mind paying, I think it says a lot that she wouldn’t take such willingness on my part for granted.

Not only can women spend a lot of money on the front end of a date, but lots of us will chip in on things throughout the date—like parking or the tip at a restaurant -

This has to be the Most full of shyt comment that I’ve read since High School! What, men dont buy new clothes? We dont go to the barber shop? Hey Everyone TGIF for real.

I can go donw the list of fun and inexpensive dates. In the summertime, cultural festivals are always a winner. In Cali, picnics were always a winner too because there’s so much beautiful scenery. Picture a picnic on a cliff overlooking the pacific in santa barbara, or sitting in natural hot springs overlooking the valley, or watching a pink desert sunrise. When I interned at NASA, I took a date to watch a night time shuttle takeoff. The only real cost of a fun, creative date is your time.

900 After I go out with a guy a couple of times. I offer to pick up the tab sometimes. But I am really a nature girl. I love Spring/Summer and early Fall. I like outdoor cafes, walking Stone Mountain, sitting in the park and admiring the sun and the sights while we play a game of, “Guess Their Story” (you know you look at people and try to guess what is going on with them). It’s silly but it’s funny. I like to star gaze, park pinics. Winter is when dates can become really expensive because it’s too cold to just be outside. But you can go to the museum or just plan dinner/Blockbuster night. But that is only after I get to know you. I will NOT be inyour crib and eating your food until I know you won’t GHB me! LOL

I am a man’s type of girl! With that being said, a cheap fun date can be a car show, watching any type of sports. Of course window shopping is a good one if you and your date are connosieurs of clothing. Picnics are fun, I recently had one in the middle of my empty den of my new house in front of the fireplace when the lights went out in my subdivision. We talked about everything, cars and sports included, ate cheese and crackers and finished off the Ben & Jerry’s before it melted. Great conversation, cuddling to stay warm, chunky monkey in front of the fireplace….. Can anyone say cheap yet Priceless!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful - you’re right on with that. Lots of people tend to get queezy when you mention “the test” but we all need to get one like you said. How about I go to the Dr a few weeks back when I thought I was dying from that dam cold (hadn’t been to the Dr in a few yr’s… I know, its a man thing). So when I get there and fill out the lil form I check “The Test” box figured I might as well knock it on out too. This chic comes in the room like “breathe” ok take this to the pharmacy, I said “I think you need to take some blood, or stick me with some needles now” Man this blonde chic acted like she aint want to do her dam job! So I bounced I’ll find a real Dr for my phys.

Its really no that serious for me…its more about the interaction between us and creating a certain amount of depth past the superficial for me..don’t have the time or energy for anything else..so jazzy doesn’t get caught up in that madness…My most memorable dates have been off the beaten path dates or low key lets vibe, laugh, talk, smile, get to know each other…if we continue to date i sometimes pick up the tab or chose the spot and vise versa..i don’t expect anyone to spend a fortune while dating me…I think its abit of give and take most men in my world appreciate that and feel like the preasure of who pays how much isn’t important…it takes two to make it happen in my opinion…

Situation dictates. If you meet a chick at home depot buying paint and you vibe volunteer to help her paint a room or something of that nature. It doesn’t have to be a “date”. Just you 2 getting together.

Beautiful when I took my first test I called in to get the results. They said I had to come in because they couldn’t give them over the phone. I’m like “HOLY SHYT”, I got the package. I sweat all the way to the docs. When I got there he said I’m negative but that scared me something terrible. They need a 5 minute test, spare my nerves.

Since honey and I are into collecting we often drive off to antique marts. The drive is always nice and we get some exercising while we’re walking. And sometimes we go to a dollar theatre. Bella I disagree slightly with you, women get new outfits and they’re nails done because they want to. And they can keep wearing that dress on other dates. It is a well known fact that October is breast Cnacer Awareness month and errry year bout that time women all over the world remind, encourage and insist that their women relatives and friends be proactive and get a breast Mamogram and/or ultra sound. Heck, if more folks were open to discussing their sexual health, clamydia and the other silent std’s could be wiped out. But because so many men and women alike choose to ignore, not be reminded and take the unknown route, there are many people walking around with germs that they have no clue they are toting like loaded glocks. But if you want to feel like we all have issues cause a reminder is welcomed then hell call me JustMe w/Issues cause my Doctors offices sends me a REMINDER card every 10 months, not that I need it, but I do appreciate it!

Good morning all…..on said topic, I don’t mind asking a guy out and I pay for the meal. If a guy is really interested, I would think he’d return the favor on the next round, if he’s truly interested, he’ll pay, no doubt. I don’t mind paying for parking and or even contributing towards the tip either, it’s about making an investment if both parties are interested in each other. I don’t mind cooking a meal as well, it’s cheaper and I do know how to bake some chicken or fry some fish and then when dude comes over, it’s more comfortable and we can be ourselves without getting all dressed up and fancy and we can watch some of the basketball game, since the NBA season and college B-ball is in full swing!

Just me No not ripe at all just pointing out the facts thats all…its all good cause I know when to take care of myself and how to do it.

My point was that the posts in regards to protection and sexual activity is squelched but posting about a aids test isn’t one circumvents the other…

You can give that lecture to someone else because I am quite aware of the issues at hand and make an effort to educate children and the like in my personal life…so fall back my Docs office doesn’t need to send me a reminder but thats me and you are you…

I don’t mind doing what others call a cheap date. While I do enjoy the finner things in life! I don’t expect neither do I deem it fair for a man to pay each time we hang out. A date is what you make it, I love the outdoors, any sports related activities. or simply kicking it at the crib.

I’m picky bout who food I eat so, if we doing dinner most likely I’m the one cooking, then we can catch a movie…shyt we can google up something playin in da theatre and watch it on the xtra large comp screen equipped with da surround sound speaker & sub woofer! Call me cheap but I’m trying to retire before I’m 30 and that will be here before I know it.

Artwalks in Castleberry Hill (free) and some galleries have free wine and cheese and desserts then dinner afterwards, Martini’s at Imax ($5), Wine tasting at Chateau Elan ($5), Go to some yard sales or thrift stores. Moes, One-star ranch in buckhead is cheap but get a lot of food. Window shop and walk around a few different malls. BBQ at a park. Good times.

I am one who can make every night a date night because when it comes down to it, to me personally, I enjoyed the restaurants and plays. A cheap date doesnt have to be a bad date. Personally on first dates I suggest going dutch, that way no one feels the pressure to showboat and blow their budget. If the gentleman pays then I will suggest coffee or dessert and I will gladly pay. Most men are shocked. If I ask the man out I will pay and I make sure to plan a outing that is within my budget.

Then if the guy likes it..then he’s know I will always be on point when we go out. But if we work out…he should pay attention to what I like so if he decides to buy my clothes as a gift he knows what I like. That is what I do. I notice a guy’s style and figure out his size for future reference if I see we are hitting it off. My OB/GYN sends a reminder, My dentist sends a reminder, my PCP sends me a reminder, not because I need it or ask for it, but because sometimes people get distracted by other things in life, and it almost ensures $$ in the physicians pocket when you return for that 6 month cleaning or annual exam.

Not that you asked, but this is how I got started getting my Annuals in January…. LMAO

One year while itemizing my deductions, I noticed that I pay good money for my Health, Dental, Vision, Life, LT & ST Disability Insurances, so I figured if I have spent $thousand$ on premiums and I haven’t had a serious illness, JustMe’s gotsta get something for her $thousand$, so I make appointments for a Dr. for every type of premium I pay for me and Lil JustMe(except the Life and ST/LT) but those came in handy too with my slip and fall in 07.

Just Me I happen to have at least met both of these men. One of them was PG’s very first little league football coach. Coach Shock is someone that I’ve known for a while. I may be a little disappointed may his actions (he is/was married), but I still have respect for him b/c he had such a positive effect on my life and the love of football.

As for Kwame, we are frat bruhs. I don’t know him as personally. So, I am less inclined to give an opinion. I don’t always trust the news. For example, when I last spoke to him, he was a single man. If he was still a single man, I am less likely to judge him. (Although a work place romance isn’t smart especially as the mayor).
