Spend ‘Knight’ with Justin Bruening

So it looks like Justin Bruening has traded one Michael Knight for another.

For those who don’t know, All My Children’s ex-Jamie is returning to our television screens tonight in a two-hour movie, Knight Rider, on NBC.

Based on the 1980s series of the same name, Bruening steps into the role of Mike Tracer, the estranged son of original hero, Michael Knight (who was played by David Hasselhoff).

Catch the irony?

On AMC Jamie’s father, Tad, was portrayed by none other than Michael E. Knight.

Even more ironic, Catherine Hickland (Lindsay on One Life to Live) was married, at different times, of course, to both Knight and Hasselhoff.

Whew.

It’s almost soap-opera worthy.

In any case, if you want to check Bruening out … and the show, too (tee, hee) … and offer support to a former soap star, tune in.

We’re talking cute guy in a techno-tricked-out Ford Mustang here.

How can you go wrong?

I caught probably the final 45 minutes of the premiere episode & really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the original Knight Rider series. It was cool watching him in scenes w/David Hasselhoff too.

I saw enough to enjoy it & tune in to watch again. He’s looking as good as ever!

Hi, Kimi.

My husband and I really enjoyed the show, too. I think Justin has come a long way acting-wise since he first started on AMC. He has a nice mix of humor and sexiness. In fact, he reminds me a lot of a young Michael E. Knight. It’s just too bad AMC never could seem to find the right storyline for him as Jamie. But AMC’s loss will hopefully be primetime’s gain.

Thanks for your comments :)
