Kodak Black catches heat from black women after announcing he'd rather date a 'Miley Cyrus' type

Rapper Kodak Black, who was released from a Florida jail earlier this month, met the wrath of black women over the weekend after making comments about his dating preferences.

In a recent Instagram Live (which includes graphic language), the South Florida-based rapper engaged in a conversation about his favorite female celebrities with his fans while apparently slurping through a bowl of cereal.

He named “Kylie Gender,” which most assumed he meant Kylie Jenner, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Miley Cyrus and a handful of other celebrity women as potential “woman crush Wednesdays.” Within the live feed to his more than 3.5 million followers, the 20-year-old goes on to say “I don’t really like black girls like that.”

As one could imagine, the comments weren’t well-received by the faceless yet powerful assemblage of black social media users dubbed “Black Twitter.”

Beyond clowning his looks, some folks chimed in with threats of hitting Kodak Black where it really hurts−banning his music.

In the midst of the greater backlash, there were some that pointed out his right to have preferences.

Kodak has yet to comment on the controversy, but a recent post about his Platinum-selling singles “Tunnel Vision” and “No Flockin” could be perceived as his clap back to his naysayers.
