ALL HALLOW'S EVE is Oct. 31, leaving you with only a few more days for frights and fun. Atlanta has plenty of haunted attractions to make your spine tingle, but if spook houses and trick-or-treating don't do it for you there are plenty of other options to choose from. Here are a few Halloween events that offer something other than a cheap thrill or a bag of candy.

Atlanta Horror Fest: This four-day event kicks off with a zombie walk from Oakland Cemetery to downtown Atlanta, followed by horror bands like Death Becomes You and Sleazoid Mafia 666, monster movies, a costume contest and a "Carrie"-themed prom.

HeXxt 1-Year Anniversary Event: It's been a year since this underground dark arts night started, and the monthly multimedia celebration includes performances by goth/industrial bands Helltrash, Venus Falling and Wykked Witch and a suspension show by Psychotic Suspensions.

Halloween on the Green: Depending on your point of view, watching the movie "Casper" could be a fun or frightening experience. Luckily, there will be hayrides, trick-or-treating and more to help get you through.

A Nightmare on Cheshire Bridge Road: Hosted by former WWE Diva and "Dancing With the Stars" participant Stacy Keibler, this upscale Halloween costume bash features tarot readers, a haunted bedroom, a costume contest with cash prizes and DJs spinning hip-hop, rock and dance.

Silver Scream Spook Show: Professor Morte (aka local rocker/artist/horror enthusiast Shane Morton) hosts this fright fest that includes a ghoulish burlesque show, a costume contest, magic tricks, raffling of dead bodies (not necessarily human) and a screening of the Vincent Price classic "The Tingler."

Halloween Fun Night: Local comedy troupe Sketchworks puts a jovial twist on Halloween with music, spooky video clips, hors d'oeuvres, a costume contest, raffle prizes and, of course, comedy.
