The Bynum-Weeks saga

RECENT HEADLINES:

“Juanita Bynum took some time off last year to focus on other ventures including her makeup line, finishing her book and taping four TV episodes on the ABC Family program Lincoln Heights,” said Toska Medlock Lee General Manager of Flow Records. “We truly support the total brand of Dr. Bynum and believe that it is the multi-dimensional and tremendous talents that she possesses which makes her a great artist and asset to the label.”

Flow Records officials said Bynum and her producer have been busy in the recording studio preparing for her next CD, scheduled for a November release.

The record company released this statement from Bynum:

“I’ve walked through a lot over the past year and have had some tremendous losses in my life — but through it all I gained a greater and deeper love for my God — and this project reflects that.”

Bynum and her ex-husband Bishop Thomas W. Weeks III, leader of Global Destiny International ministries in Duluth divorced in June.

Earlier this month, Bynum’s Waycross headquarters, faced foreclosure and a delinquent tax sale at the same time, according to Ware County Tax Commissioner Steve Barnard. The Evangelical Christian Credit Union, the property’s finance company, stepped forward to absorb the bill.
