TV Best Bets: ‘Kids’ Choice Awards,’ ‘No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency’ premiere

There are shows this week for the kiddies (Sunday’s “Kids’ Choice Awards” on Nickelodeon), folks who used to be kids (an interview with the Looney Tunes creator on TCM Tuesday) and people who need help taking care of their kids (“Supernanny” on Friday).
And say goodbye to one of ABC Family’s biggest hits (“The Secret Life of the American Teenager” Monday) while greeting an unusual drama series set in Africa (“No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency” on HBO Sunday)

MONDAY
• “Chuck,” 8 p.m. NBC — Chuck meets the intersect creator.
• “Dancing With the Stars,” 8 p.m. ABC — Belinda Carlisle last week didn’t quite have the beat and was the first celeb cut. Who’s next: Steve-O or Steve Wozniak?
• “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” 8 p.m. ABC Family (season finale) — The baby is born!
• “24,” 9 p.m. Fox — Jack and Tony try to save D.C. from a biochemical threat. And is the First Daughter a good person — or evil?
• “Table for 12,” 10 p.m. TLC (series debut) — With TLC hot on “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” the network has decided to copy itself with the Haynes family: two pairs of twins and sextets. Phew!
• “Medium,” 10 p.m. NBC — Allison gets help solving a case from a dead FBI agent.
TUESDAY
Pres. Obama is holding a press conference at 8 p.m., Result:”American Idol” is moved to Wednesday and Thursday.
• “Reaper,” 8 p.m. the CW — Obama not your cup of tea? Sam has to mentor the Devil’s charming (yet spoiled and lazy) son.
• “Chuck Jones: Memories of Childhood,” 8 p.m. TCM — The man behind Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck talks bout his life in this posthumous interview from 2002.
• “Biggest Loser,” 9 p.m. NBC — Obama pushes the losers back an hour. NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer gets involved.
• “Dancing With the Stars,” 9 p.m. ABC — Which Steve will go home? Steve-O or Steve Wozniak?.
• “College Hill: South Beach,” 10 p.m. BET (season debut) — Among the stereotypical college students: a cheerleader, a musician, a poet, a video vixen and a pageant gal.
• “The Mentalist” 10 p.m. CBS — The writers decide to address economic distress: a group of financial consultants are murdered!
WEDNESDAY
• “American Idol,” 8 p.m. Fox — Pushed back a day, the top 10 tackle Motown’s hit list.
• “Survivor,” 8 p.m. CBS — With the NCAA tourney on Thursday, CBS airs this time filler/best of.
• “The Chopping Block,” 8 p.m. NBC — Last week, the show drew just 3.5 million viewers. Now it’s up against “Idol.” Ulp.
• “Better Off Ted,” 8:30 p.m. ABC — Ted tries to save Phil’s job despite his annoying tics after getting frozen (by choice) in last week’s episode.
• “Lost,” 9 p.m. ABC — Sawyer’s. mountain of lies he has created to protect his cohorts starts to fall apart.
• “Important Things With Demetri Martin,” 10:30 p.m. Comedy Central (season finale) — The king of detached irony bids farewell. Tonight’s topic: games.
THURSDAY
• “American Idol,” 8 p.m. Fox — So will there be another shocker this week after Alexis Grace’s departure last week?
• “In the Motherhood,” 8 p.m. ABC (new series) — Megan Mullally (“Will & Grace”), Cheryl Hines (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) and Jessica St. Clair play moms in a show based on real-life stories of moms.
• “Grey’s Anatomy,” 9 p.m. ABC — Izzie has a potentially fatal cancer while Derek tries to break out of his depression.
• “Hell’s Kitchen” 9 p.m. Fox — Two celebrities nibble on the contestants’ vittles: Robert Patrick and Eric McCormack.
• “The Office,” 9 p.m. NBC — Michael Scott is under the microscope thanks to the new boss but surely he can find more ways to waste time.
• “30 Rock,” 9:30 p.m. NBC — Liz’s ex the Beeper King is back and he has to tell her about Jenna.
• “ER,” 10 p.m. NBC — Two weeks after George Clooney came back, we get a guest role from… Tom Arnold.
FRIDAY
• “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” 8 p.m. Fox — Cameron tells a secret to Derek.
• “Everybody Hates Chris,” 8 p.m. the CW — No word yet from the CW whether this show has a shot of coming back next year. Chris gets his driver’s license.
• “Dollhouse,” 9 p.m. Fox — Echo becomes a college student on a campus hit by a nasty virus.
• “Friday Night Lights,” 9 p.m. NBC — Buddy’s not doing well financially, causing trouble for Lyla’s desire to go to Vanderbilt.
• “Supernanny,” 9 p.m. ABC — A family of six that is out of control and Jo Frost tsk tsks her way through this mess.
• “Comedy Central Presents: Josh Blue,” 10:30 p.m. Comedy — This funny man with cerebral palsy won “Last Comic Standings” a couple years ago and continues to draw crowds.
WEEKEND
• “22nd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards” 8 p.m. Saturday Nickelodeon — Dwayne Johnson hosts. Maybe he’ll whip out his hilarious “The Rock” Obama impersonation!
• “Nora Roberts’ Midnight Bayou,” 9 p.m. Saturday Lifetime — Jerry O’Connell plays a man who leaves the big city to buy a haunted mansion in Louisiana.
• “The Amazing Race 14,” 8 p.m. Sunday CBS — The remaining teams hit Thailand.
• “No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency,” 8 p.m. Sunday HBO (new series) — Part-time Atlantan Jill Scott plays a female detective in Botswana in this beautifully choreographed series.
• “Celebrity Apprentice,” 9 p.m. Sunday NBC — Watch Dennis Rodman try to work in a hotel, rather than just sleep in one. Good luck!
