Jimmy Fallon beats Tiger in golf match — on Wii

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Thursday, June 25, 2009

Tigers Woods, the world’s best golfer, was beaten at his own game Thursday by NBC Late Night host Jimmy Fallon.

They were not on a golf course, however. They were standing on a stage in New York City’s Times Square, playing “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10” on the Wii.

“I just got absolutely schooled in my own game,” Woods told the New York Daily News. “I certainly want a rematch.”

Woods, the News reported, quit before finishing the third and final hole. He shot a double-bogey and a bogey before giving up. Fallon, an avid gamer, shot even par.

The match will be part of Woods’ visit to Fallon’s show Thursday night.
