Atlanta's TNT joined other basic cable networks with a raft of Emmy nominations this year, trumping the usual suspects at HBO and the broadcast networks.

The network celebrated the fourth nomination in a row for Kyra Sedgwick in "The Closer" for best female actress in a drama series, though she has yet to win. Sedgwick was joined in the same category by Oscar winner Holly Hunter in the network's edgy new drama, "Saving Grace."

Director Kenny Leon's adaptation of 'A Raisin in the Sun' was nominated for best made-for -TV movie.

What's on TV

TNT nabbed 10 nominations overall, while Adult Swim took home a nomination for best animated program (an hour or less) for "Robot Chicken" for the second year in a row. For Cartoon Network, "Chowder" and "Camp Lazio" were nominated in a minor category. (TBS, Turner Classic Movies and Tru TV were shut out.)

Among others with local ties:

• Dunwoody High grad Ryan Seacrest of "American Idol" nabbed a nomination in the new category of best host in a reality program, competing with the likes of Jeff Probst of "Survivor" and Heidi Klum of "Project Runway."

• Atlanta director Kenny Leon's film adaptation of "A Raisin in the Sun" brought home three nominations, including best made-for-TV movie and best actress in a film or miniseries for Phylicia Rashad. (She won a Tony in the play version in 2004.)

Coca-Cola is up for best commercial for "It's Mine," in which Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons vie for a big inflatable Coke bottle.
