Not many things are more satisfying than the perfect bite of a taco filled with your favorite ingredients. Soft shell or hard, meat or vegetarian −the combinations of flavors are endless.

These three Georgia restaurants made a list of top 100 U.S. ‘hot spots’ for 2017

Sip on a horchata at Tacos La Villa in Smyrna while dining on what some call one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in town. The price is right here for a tasty taco (or four). No wonder they were voted best taco in town.

Retreat to your happy place, aka our second place winner, at  Bartaco, for an intown fiesta with all of your favorite tacos on the menu. Visit their locations in Chastain Park, West Midtown and Inman Park for upscale street food with a coastal vibe in a relaxed environment.

Our third place winner takes the creative taco to a whole new level. At Taqueria del Sol (DeKalb), you can find tacos stuffed with fried chicken (with a jalapeño mayonnaise) or even a Memphis-themed taco with chopped smoked pork with a spicy jalapeño coleslaw and tequila BBQ sauce.

The definitive list of Atlanta's best guacamole

These aren't the only spots where you can dine on tasty tacos done right. Check out the other nominees, most of which have a passionate following: Mi Barrio (Intown), El Taco Veloz (Gwinnett), El Rey Del Taco (DeKalb) and The El Felix (North Fulton).

Before you load up on too many tacos, be sure to pregame with some of the best queso Atlanta has to offer. Prefer guacamole? There's plenty of that to go around, too.
