Music will fill four stages throughout the three-day Moonshine Music & Arts Festival.

The fifth annual Moonshine Music & Arts Festival will move into Braselton for an extended weekend of dancing, expression and community this weekend.

From Friday June 30 to Sunday, July 2, the Lanier Raceplex will be filled with four music stages and plenty of campers.

Here are five things to keep in mind if you're planning to attend:

You'll need to know the basics

The festival will be held rain or shine, so prepare accordingly. For directions from Atlanta, click here. You can buy tickets at the gate, but it's cheaper to buy in advance online, and several early-bird options have already sold out. Single-day passes start at $69, and a three-day weekend pass starts at $159.

Items such as hula-hoops, LED props, glow poi and totem poles are encouraged, but fire poi and fire-dancing gear are prohibited.

The music is front and center

The festival will feature over 100 acts on four stages over three days, with a strong EDM (electronic dance music) bent.

Paper Diamond, Keys N Krates, Beats Antique, Roni Size with Dynamic MC are just a few of the long list of national and regional performers who will take the stage. After the bands stop playing each night, the party will keep going with a free silent disco from midnight to 4 a.m.

You can also learn some interesting skills

While you're enjoying the festival's music, stop in at a Knowledge Drop Zone to attend interesting workshops, seminars and interactive lessons.

They're free for festival goers, and topics include everything from finding and painting your spirit animal to how to stay protected when you're spinning and performing with fire.

You'll need to leave the young kids at home

You probably know you'll need to be 21 or older to consume alcohol, but you also can't attend the festival unless you're at least 18. A valid ID – such as a state-issued driver's license or ID, military ID or passport – will be checked before you can enter the festival site.

If you have kids and want to enjoy some outdoor summer fun with them, check out one of Atlanta's other summer festivals.

You can stay and camp throughout the festival

Campgrounds are located within walking distance of the festival's main stage, so if you want to stay for a day and night, or over the entire long weekend, you can camp out. You can also host a theme camp, but it has to be pre-approved by event organizers.

A camping pass is $40 online, with prices increasing to $50 at the gates. You aren't allowed to camp in your car or in an RV or pop-up trailer. Tents are OK, and grilling stations are provided, but you'll need to bring your own charcoal and utensils.
