Actually, the folks behind Spa Week 2017 have somewhat loftier motivations, pointing to information showing that “Natural healing methods are on the rise as antidotes for an over-connected, demanding world.”
That certainly describes life in metro Atlanta -- even before a critical portion of I-85 collapsed, tornadoes touched down and everything else “demanding” that’s happened here in the last 10 days.
As a result, Spa Week’s Spring 2017 Event couldn’t come at a better time. From April 17 - 23, hundreds of spas around the country will offer certain signature services for a flat fee of $50. That’s a discount of hundreds of dollars in some cases.
While you’ll have to go to Texas to take advantage of Carrollton Square Spa’s Cryotherapy Massage (it’s described as “targeted arctic treatment,” brrr!), or to New York for a “Fanny Facial” at Smooth Synergy, a number of spas in and around metro Atlanta are taking part.

That includes Elements Massage in Buckhead, Angela Michael Skincare & Spa in Dunwoody and Spa Fiori in Johns Creek, just to name a few. For a complete list of participating spas and the specific services being offered at each location, visit www.spaweek.com.
That web site is also where you’ll make reservations for appointments, which are required. Bookings began March 20, but spots still remain, Spa Week’s organizers say.
