Whole Body Day

This Saturday, Jan. 27, visit Whole Foods in Sandy Springs for Whole Body day. The purpose is to show customers what the whole body department has to offer, beyond vitamins. A special highlight for makeup lovers will be a visit from celebrity makeup artist, Alejandro Falcon.
The master behind the faces of women from Celine Dion to Angela Bassett will show customers the tips and tricks of mineral makeup featuring Mineral Fusion Cosmetics. The new line, carried in Whole Foods stores, offers paraben and perfume free products, containing antioxidants and nutrients such as white tea, red tea and pomegranate.
The event takes place from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Free samples, treatments and information for all who attend. For more information, contact Whole Foods at 404.236.0810.

Winter Warehouse Sales

More winter warehouse sales coming this weekend:
The Intown warehouse sale takes place Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm. Boutiques including Bill Hallman, Alternative, Wish, Taste and Demure, will sell men’s and women’s clothing and accessories at up to 90% off. The discounts happen at 728 Ralph McGill Blvd just west of Two Urban Licks.
On Saturday, the Boutique Bargains Warehouse sale starts from 10 to 6 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Discounts from Sandpiper, Veruca, K’La, Bilthouse and Mooncake will be offered at Market at the Works, 711 Trabert Ave (off Howell Mill between Chattahoochee and 14th Street).

Warehouse season

It’s that time again: boutique warehouse sale season.
This Friday and Saturday get up to 90 percent off of clothing from stores including Alternative, Fab’rik, Kaleidoscope, Mooncake and Squash Blossom. The sale takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Academy Theatre, behind Tudor Village at 12 N. Clarendon Ave, Avondale Estates.

The L Word has come to Atlanta, at least in the form of fashion.
Showtime network recently announced a partnership with designers to create a collection of apparel and accessories inspired by the drama about lesbian friends in Los Angeles. The line, available until February 28, includes sportswear by Laura Dahl, bags by TES and Cate Adair, denim from Blue Cult and Honey Labrador and jewelry by Love and Pride.
