Shop for a Cause

Lisa Brown Boutique (6301 Roswell Road) is hosting a shopping benefit on Wednesday May 16, 2007, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
The event, “If Anne Can”, is named for Anne Taylor, a University of Georgia student who lost her leg in a car accident in April.
Half of the proceeds will be donated to the prosthetics department of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta where Taylor receives care.

ATL vs. Dallas

When it comes to shopping, Atlanta has often taken a backseat to its southern cousin Dallas (birthplace of Neiman Marcus, thank you). Now it seems the same is true for TV according to today’s Peach Buzz.
An HBO series about high society ladies in Buckhead was replaced by a show with a similar concept based in where? Dallas, of course.
So what’s the deal? What does Dallas have (shopping, society, or otherwise) that Atlanta doesn’t?
