Heidi Klum, host of the 12th annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

A few things occurred to me yesterday when I tuned in to the Victoria’s Secret 12th annual fashion show on CBS:

1) It should have been called the Heidi Klum show (not that I’m complaining) featuring her husband Seal and her model friends

2) All models want to be moms when they “retire”

3) If they weren’t in the tabloids every week, I would believe the Spice Girls, or at least their talent, had been cryopreserved for the past six years.

4) Models Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr look a lot alike.

5) Actor Jeremy Piven (spotted in the audience) scares me.

Oh, and the lingerie looked good too.

What are your thoughts on the show?

What can I say? I find the models beautiful and flawless. On the other hand, I felt like I was viewing a porn show. The models who were posing in that half circle, when they stood up, it was very unlady like. Their thighs were very spread apart and stayed apart when standing up. I do not feel like this was appropriate for television at all. If so, perhaps a midnight time would of been more appropriate. How many teenage boys were in their bedroom viewing this? When viewing other shows, they blurr out cracks and clevage. Why is Victoria Secret allowed to show all? And why is it right then for VS to show all and not Brittany Spears (even though, she’s messed up in life). Is there any difference?

Funny how you never see men dressed this scantily on tv!! Enough with the t!ts and azz, unless men are getting equal “skin” time!! No seriously, this is way too much for regular tv, put this shyt on cable!

It needs to be called Heidi and Seal show. How he sings to her each year on how much he loves her. She should sing to his crotch and sing how much she love it since she let the world know what impressed her the most when she met him. It wasn’t his face she was looking at. They wonder why our girls want to be sexy at a young age yet they should underwear every year.

I don’t think the show was that bad at all- it didn’t show much. And after all, it was on at 10 pm, when teenage boys SHOULD be sleep in preparation for school the next day. If they were still woke, watching the VS show, then that’s their parents fault :)

Did you miss the breaking news last night of the allegations that all VS stuff is made in sweat shops? I thought that was going to be your point here—not more entertainment gossip nonsense. Watch Bill O’Reilly for the latest.

Sxzscorpia Teen age boys in bed by 10:00? What planet are you from?

I have a 16 year old girl who stays up until 11. No parenting problems here. What a stupid comment.

Eh, don’t worry, the teenage boys only watched for 10 minutes (if that), if you know what I mean. After that, they slept well.

Great, another piece of media trash that encourages innocent young girls to be “sexy” at too early an age, society to value women for the wrong reasons, discriminate against anyone physically imperfect & damage womens’ self-esteem

Has anyone been in a VS store lately? All that are in there are teen aged girls. Look around the malls, and look at the bags these kids are carrying. 75% are carrying Victoria Secrets bags……

I have two nieces 16 years old, and stuff from VS is high on their christmas lists……

I agree…….makes you wonder where the parents are, and what the hellz they’re thinking!!! My teen knows better, don’t even think about trying to wear sexy undergarments until you are at least 18!!!! Or she will feel my wrath!!

OhNo Who do you think is paying for all the sexy undergarments? Yes, the parents. I don’t know too many 15 year olds with jobs that can afford $25.00 for a (partial) pair of panties. This working woman sure can’t…… They get Daddy’s credit card and go hit the mall. The other thing that kills me are the Coach purses these kids are carrying. I can’t afford one of those either.

Look at the teenage girls getting out of mommie’s Yukon/Escalade at the high school with cups of Starbuck’s coffee.

Look at their fake nails from manicures, look at the make up from Nordstroms…..shall I go on?

These kids are going to get major sticker shock when they have to start paying their own way……

My niece loved Starbuck’s coffee and and went by there daily, until she got a job and had to pay for them herself. No more Starbucks’ for her, she said she couldn’t afford it…..ha ha

I think everyone so far is making a big deal about a VS show! If you guys don’t like it don’t watch it, and don’t let your kids watch it. If you’re daughter is a teenager and is walking around with a VS bag, wearing thongs, then blame the parents since I’m sure they are using the parents money to buy it! Plus they have much more for sale than bras and panties. Those models are beautiful and I don’t see how they encourage young girls to be sexy at an early age. This all depends how they are raised and what values are enforced by the mother and father. It starts at home and parents should teach their kids how NOT to be influenced by the world and things around them. Sadly, it doesn’t happen, so when a show like this comes around “let’s blame the media for making our daghters w**s.” Give me a break!

I know Aurora, and it’s sad!! There seems to be this mentality that these children are grown at 15/16 yrs. old. Not in my house!! Mine is 15, and I am constantly amazed at how grown a lot of her peers get to act/look/dress! I say no way, but I can only speak for my household! So with all of this, you can imagine how grown they act when they’re out and about, boyfriends and all. And we wonder why the teen pregnancy (not to mention STD’s) rate is up!!! It just turns my stomach!

Amen, Amanda…Also, what I don’t think a lot of people realize is that these bras & panties are worthe every penny..Yes, if you can afford them..So as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for….

I wish I would pay all that money for a pair of draws and homeboy tears them off me. My “Hanes Your Way” suits me just fine, especially when I am at work. If I paid that kind of money for the draws they model, I would not wear any clothes with them. I would be as naked as a jaybird for everyone to see.

Hotlanta I agree! Its a waste for me to pay for panties/bra’s from there, plus they would be off real quick! So as you also stated Hanes hipsters work just fine for me and are sexy as well. I just like to see the crazy outfits and wings.

Enough already, people. Flesh sells, even if the underwear is average and overpriced.

Everyone knows VS is for middle aged soccer moms…. Sheesh why pay all that money for floor decorations. Fredrick’s is cheaper, sexier, and goes great with my hardwood floors. As far as teens. Lighten up, your 16 year old wants to wear a thong, so what. It’s under her clothes, hopefully, that bared thong thing went out years ago. It’s not going to make her any more promiscuous then if you dress her in a sack. It’s self esteem, security, and good role models that determine if your little Suzy is the HS sweetheart or the HS hoochie. Laying down the law and making a huge deal about underthings now is only going to make her go VS (or heaven forbid Fredericks of Hollywood) crazy once she leaves for college. Plus, the boys don’t care if she’s wearing a thong or some GP’s, remember it’s all floor decoration. :-) As far as the content, again lighten up, it’s just the female body, no need to get all uppity about it. I mean do you not take your kids to the beach for fear they may see some woman in a bikini?
