Symptoms Signs and Tests Blood pressure may be elevated. A urinalysis may reveal blood in the urine or signs of urinary tract infection. A retrograde pyelogram, abdominal ultrasound, or CT scan of the abdomen may show a ureterocele and hydronephrosis.
