Symptoms Symptoms depend on the time course of the obstruction and where in the urinary tract the obstruction occurs. Some of the most common symptoms of chronic obstructive uropathy include:
Signs and Tests Examination of the abdomen by touch may show enlarged or tender kidneys. A large bladder full of urine may be present. Rectal examination may reveal enlarged prostate. Signs and symptoms of chronic renal failure may be present. The blood pressure may also be elevated.
